Having superiority complex is something you have to lose quickly. Apparently a WO5 is the wrong rank eh mate?

Not that I agree with him in general, but in regard to ranks maybe it's not a matter of superiority syndrome but that of experience and sense of history.

There are a lot of things that low ranks (genuine low ranks, not alt accounts) don't know, and basically can't know untill they pass through some ranks. For instance, take the turrets' stats. They are not the same (compared to one another) in different Modifications... So in order to judge a change in one turret it's usefull to know the relative effectiveness in all Ms... meaning, either high rank or a true learner of wiki.

I think the change to the Unity version it is probably a major factor in preventing any change to the current flash based version.

 

I.e. Tanki are very keen to invest all efforts into Unity and would view time spent on the old version as being lost.

 

One thing for sure is the new version will have many bugs yet to be discovered and Tanki will have a hard time prioritizing which to fix first.

 

Tanki is a complex game - it will take a lot of time to deal with everything.

When starting with Unity, users we will probably have a bigger problem dealing with the many users who will be exploiting the bugs (to gain crystals and killing advantage)!

 

One thing we easily lose sight of is how well the existing flash game has managed to remove most bugs - credit to Tanki on this.

 

Also I can predict when Unity is released, this forum will be (rightly) 'drowned' by Unity bug reports.

I'm sure many of us will have to use the flash version for quite some time before everything is fixed.

 

Hence, doing a 'drugs poll' is good right now - so we can wave it in front of Tanki management while we still can.

I'm not sure if we can do this poll in the Tanki forum?  maybe we can find someone in Tanki willing to co-operate? (I suspect not) or maybe we have to use a poll mechanism outside Tanki - say in Facebook?

Possibly in the final version we will have to replace the words 'garage drugs' with the official 'garage supplies'.

'Drug' is a word that seems politically incorrect in some circles - but really non of us (even small kids) have any problem understanding what it means ('artificial performance enhancement') (AKA 'Power up'.)

 

To be really 'responsible' - the lesson from all drugs is that they should have some sort of 'side effect' (negative consequence) (as mostly happens in the real world) - although I can see that Tanki is mostly after the 'addictive dependence' side effect).

(and do I have to repeat myself that I have no problem with 'Air Drops' - I love chocolate too, once in a while! :0)

I agree - we need Russian support - it's relatively easy to convert to Russian - but I have not been able to convert it back to English!  Some of it looks a bit suspect.   The Da / Net - looks reasonable!

(I'm not sure that describing Tanki as a load of 'Kak' will gain many supporters.)

 

Lots of language converters on the web in both directions - Google Chrome is normally ace for reading / checking.

However, I can't be 100% sure a Russian won't laugh at it?  can a Russian help us?

 

 

and yes - maybe too many questions on my list  - but I would like to see the outcome of these questions because it should help Tanki think about ways to try and keep more of us happy and recommending this great game to others.

Sadly, although I keep trying, I cannot find a battle that isn't overrun with druggies. I am frustrated and it outrages me to the point that I just can't be quiet about it while it is happening. I am hearing less and less people voicing concern,and this ridiculous situation has become the norm, not "is" becoming, has become!

I didn't come here to get upset and argue with people over the right and wrong of using these drugs, to constantly be one shot killed and/or be overwhelmed by rabid packs of 10 year olds with christmas trees flashing.  I came here to relax and play a friendly, competetive game. This, apparently is not that game. I fear that this issue is too far gone to fix and I have already talked most of my friends out of joining this mess. When I explain how it is they really don't want any part of it any way.

I'm hanging on by a very thin thread, only because of the time and money involved in trying to further myself, but, soon that won't be a concern anymore. I'm sorry that this "game" has turned into such a nighmare to be a part of. What I am going through every time I play is nothing more than a product of irresponsible people who want only money. Let's face it...They really don't care. If they did, some small gesture would have been extended. It has not! I'm sitting with this for a bit, but, I really see no sense in coming here to be abused and mistreated every time I play.

That is the really one,true question my friend. The game is nothing but blatant drug use and really bad attitudes because of it. I was in two battles last night with full rosters on each side that were 27/0 and 24/0 and both still had time on the clock . I have lost more crystals by leaving lately than is acceptable. It is really a very bad situation,especially for those of us who have a low income status. My only forward movement comes from earned crystals. Lately, that has become nearly impossible. The situation is out of hand and irreversible. Playing a battle these days will make you feel like you are trying to climb a mountain with no legs. Players no longer need skills, just a credit card. I am getting angry just talking about it so I will stop here while I am still civil.

I actually played a few rounds last night and was shocked that some people were telling others on their team not to drug (in public chat). My team was losing on Serphukhov and some of the idiots on the winning team were still drugging even until the last moment. Once they left it was actually fun to play for about an hour. After that some of the people on the other team left, some druggies showed up, and soon nearly everyone on my team left.

This topic has gone a long way.. Footage has been gathered to prove there is a problem. Players stated their opinions and feelings about recent playing and emotional environment. Unbalance and frustration are the most common situations.

We have proposed many ideas and some of them must be suitable... We can't go further, solving the problem ourselves. Administration must act.

 

Apart form the obvious complains from us, it's crystal-clear that most CTF (at least CTF) battles are heavily unbalanced. Final scores don't lie. Most of them end like 10-0 or 20-0 (and personal D/L ratios like >10)... This can't be satisfying to you! It's your game that's being ruining...

 

Tanki administration is handling this issue very poorly.

I don't understand who in their right minds professional developer will totally ignore a part of their customers or, simply face them with unjustified irony...

The word amateur is less than enough for this kind of behaviour.

Just because most of your customers are small kids doesn't mean that Administration's respond must be tuned in 12 yo IQ... Serious problems require serious answers.

We will, if Administration fails to come and talk to us. I mean, really talk and not just state decisions pre-taken.]

 

And the first question Administration has to answer clearly is why doesn't it provide us with a way to play without drug-raiders. All we do is not pay for supplies. We pay for combos / paints, we pay for MUs. We even are willing to pay for non power items, each in each own affordability... And we want a way to play druggers-free battles.

Not supplies-free but druggers-free. That is, without the ability of using the supplies constantly.

Is that so difficult? We can't understand.

I would like to share an awareness that came to me this morning. It will not change or fix this but it made me sit up a bit and laugh. Most of us have a varied gaming history. We like different types of game playing. I have been gaming since dungeon and dragons on paper and have a deep love of sword and sorcery, dungeon raiding, kill everything and become THE invincible warrior. That's fine for those types of games, but I came here to experience something completely different . I was convinced by the advertising that this was a tank battle game. It is not.

This is a dungeon raiding game with a different window dressing. I'll explain. When you play a dungeon rading game you know up front that the idea of the game is to collect loot ( here it's crystals), to find weapons and/or magical weapons that make you stronger, faster, healthier, (they all have a time limit before they run out(like here) and you need to re-charge in some way, and of course there are the potions that can be bought ( like here with crystals), which you can amass, (like here). These potions give more...health, strength, power, and speed. They are the same universally. The only difference here is that a credit card comes into play. You don't get these potions and such on other games by just "showing up daily", you have to earn them.

So warriors, put on your armor, (we are our tanks here).

      Make sure you have your potions (drugs ) and pick a dungeon to raid. With all of your magical weapons and potions in place you will surely annihilate all who oppose you and therfore come away with all that the dungeon holds, (highest score..most crystals...etc) you should be proud!

TO you didn't advertise this as just another dungeon raiding game or I wouldn't have come here. I have hundreds to play. That's how you got me! TO you haven't created anything new just hid it behind different trappings. You have used others ideas in the industry. You are not even original, as this is really not a true tank combat game.

This Is why we are not getting an answer. This got away from them and now they can only count the money.

Now I understand the nastiness I hear in battles, the I AM INVINCIBLE attitudes and the non-caring about others. This is the same attitude that exists in online games like Dungeons and Dragons. Believe me, I know. So, ironically I laughed,(sadly), because I know that despite the good ideas here and good conversation and plain out asking for help, it will never come.

What is funny is when a team isn't drugging to get the score up like 4-1 and then when it is 10-1 and 2 minutes left all of a sudden the rush kicks in and they are lit up like Christmas trees. I don't get the point of that.
