Place a limit on garage supplies in battles

I feel sure Tanki devs and management would love to make the game fair and good for all.

However, their hands are tied by the need to make money from sales of 'Supplies Kits'.

It's just too embarrassing for Tanki to admit this is the truth because it would put off noobs (on the other hand Tanki have never denied this is the truth.)

 

Premium accounts look to be a good attempt to gain revenue separately from sales of supplies kits.

Sadly by giving tankers free maxed out tanks and guns in the recent MU update - has meant it's even more attractive to just keep buying Supplies Kits because it's cheaper!

 

No-one in Tanki has ever explained why they do not use advertising to bring in some revenue.

Once the pressure is off 'Supplies kit' sales then I'm sure Tanki will give us a more level playing field.

 

If you look at the rules in Tanki eSports you will see all sorts have been done to improve the game play.

1. Garage Drugs either off or on (hardstyle =big tanks) makes it equal for both sides (they might consider 15 Garage drugs per 15 minutes is also fair).

2. Any tanker found to be lagging or using lag cheats will be asked to leave the game or be disqualified.  (Tanki could do more to measure the lag cheats and display the average lag in the results at the end of each game - then we can all judge.)

 

Now that I've seen the difference a very fast internet connection makes (10 to 15ms ping) compared to my old one (100ms) - it's not surprising the existing game struggles to show the truth on the screen.  E.g. typically rail gun shots will hit you after you go behind a building, while on a Lan (1ms ping rates) you will not see this problem.

 

If Pro Mode was free - very few would continue to use standard mode and the sales of Supplies Kits will go right down - hence, Tanki have to prevent Pro Mode getting too popular by making the cost higher than most are willing to pay.

 

Hence, Tanki must be encouraged to make more and more money by various means and not be so dependent on sales of Supply Kits - then we can ask for the game that 80% of us want (equal drug usage per side).

At that point the cries of 'drugger' will go away and Tanki will not feel the need to make excuses for not listening to the majority of the tankers.

 

We have ALL seen how many battles are spoilt because one side drugs more than the other. 

Please note, it is possible for a team of skilled non-druggers to beat a team containing 3 or 4 full time druggers - I have seen it done, however, the druggers normally quit to find easier opponents!

Sadly getting a top team of non-druggers together is not very common - maybe 1 in 100 battles!

Hence, the rest of the time we can:

1. Ask druggers to stop using so many (sometimes works.)

2. Hit obvious druggers 'very hard' with the drugs we get from daily missions and hope they quit to find easier targets (bullies are such wimps).

 

Make no mistake that when one side drugs and wins while the losing side does not drug, this is patently unfair (=cheating) - it's like in the Tour De France when 5 riders win all stages by drugging - what does that prove!!

 

One simple step Tanki could do in team games is to prevent garage drugging by the leading side.  This will have the following effects:

1. Many more battles will be closer.

2. It may mean drugging is considered more acceptable when on the losing side and so sales of supplies kits will not suffer that much.

3. It will mean it's just as good to join the losing side as it is to join the winning side in terms of the chance to gain crystals.  At present nothing in the game prevents skilled and cynical players quitting losing sides and only joining winning sides - this adds to the game imbalance.

 

Right now to help you find 'good games' AND you have 'above average' skills then I recommend you always join a losing side that is not losing by much (and avoid matches with obvious full time druggers.)

This way you will find tough opponents who will not quit easily and at some point if the turn-a-round occurs then you get the best battles.

 

 

To deal with Mults, Trolls and hackers we need the AZ 'Kick2' however, I do not see this problem very much and I video many of my games and have not caught any so far.  Unity is blocking most dev work on the existing game - so we just have to wait and see.

No, if you are against garage drugs for one side you should be against it for both sides, no matter what the score is.

The exception is if one side (the winning or losing side) is using artificial lag [a hack] against the other side, then the other side should be allowed to drug as much as they want from the garage even if they are winning the game by any score...

PLEASE! Just SHUT UP with the stupid hackers! God! Drugging will not do anything against them, okay? If in the case you are talking about, (artificial lag) then drugging will most decidedly not help at all. If they are artificially lagging, then you probably can't even land a shot on them, so how would any drugs help at all? They don't!! Now if you're just going to keep coming back and say "hackershackershackershackershackershackers" then leave this discussion please because you are trolling by only flooding with an argument that I have made invalid a long time ago.

Unfortunately, this topic is of indirect relation with hacking and sabotaging, therefore it is my area of interest too.


As well any other topic regarding supplies and their use. Or Tanki economy.

We are discussing the possibility of placing a limit on drugs, having absolutely nothing to do with hacking and sabotaging. Go ahead, try to sound smart with the word choice, but that won't happen if what you are saying makes no sense whatsoever. This topic also has nothing to do with Tanki economy. -_-

In the other topic concerning drugs, you said that Hammer is more noob than Twins. Do you really think that anyone would believe your argument there for a split second? You've got to be kidding me. 

Like I said in the other drug-concerned topic, I suggest you leave the discussions because it is quite clear you are not providing insightful feedback on either of them.

You stupid. You asked for proof that Hammer kills faster than Twins. I presented it to you, and now you ask for proof that Twins kills slower compared to other turrets?

Just shut up already please. By now I think it would be a wise choice to just leave without saying another word, you troll.

I don't care if I get banned for insults/profanity, but that is the truth and I've been holding it back for so long and I snapped at this ridiculous post.

The-Operator wasn't even trying to prove anything, you misinterpret everything. -_-

Besides, it takes absolutely no brain power whatsoever to conclude that Twins is most decidedly the most noob weapon in the game. You're crazy if you want proof that Twins is the noobiest turret in the game.

Yeah man it only shoots forever and has crazy high impact force. You want OP? m0 and m1 ricochet

They have a lot of DPS and are possibly even more annoying with impact force than twins.

It also shoots off walls and can kill you before you even see them.

You are correct.

This guy tried to prove the opposite in comparing to Hammer (after I made the comparison and said that hammer is more noob cuz it kills faster and he claimed that it is less noob cuz it requires more strategy and takes more time to kill) and instead proved my assertion that Twins are worse than Hammer. Mind you, he then tried to lie his way out of it.

His vid shows that the kill time is MORE THAN 1 seconds in difference, plus 1 more second for killing delay:

But to be on-topic: I noticed in a couple rounds today that once the other team started hacking I was able to successfully counter by then drugging. In one of those I also started drugging only after they started drugging.

You personally requested video proof of it, are you stupid or do you suffer from short-term memory loss? -_- I did not compare Twins to Hammer, you did. And most apparently, you did not read the note I put before the video. I did not lie about anything.

Is anyone really going to believe for a single split second that Hammer is noob because it kills faster? NO, absolutely not; that is an illogical and irrational argument. That is why it never stood.

That is not proof.

Add Thunder or certain other turrets to Dictator hull and you'll notice Twins kill enemies the least.

Thunder+Dictator is a common combo, but it turns the turret slower than it turns itself.

So it's easy to just turn your entire body, and you don't even have to be a good shot.

But Ricochet is the most "noobish" turret in my opinion, it's impact force makes Twins look like a pillow launcher and it's damage is ludicrous.

Actually, double armor/damage literally means double, providing a 100% boost in each. If you suggest a reduction in the boost provided, reduction to 70-50% should be enough otherwise supplies would become pretty much useless, not providing a sufficient enough boost.

I think they should do the 3-supply-limit-for-15-minute but instead of making all battles like this, make a new format that you DONT need a pro pass for. Many players like to use supplies freely even if they dont buy. Others like to have a more peacful battle (if there is such a thing). When making a battle you can press the Diet Battle button to start a new match in this format

That is somewhat different. That is making a new battle mode relating to drugs, but right now we are discussing a limit placement on drugs. If you want a new battle mode to be introduced, create a new topic. No hate man, I love the idea and I tried to phrase it in the most respectful way possible but I don't want what happened in the other topic to happen here.
