Ideas for Turrets!

no it won't be OP 

let's say the damage begin from 100 and increase 50 every second but let's say the limit is 600 damage per second that's mean you need to be connected to the target for 10sec just to get the maximum damage and if he run away just for a sec it reset to 100 damage and start increasing again so in most cases it will be useless

That would help, but a max damage was not suggested here. OP implied that damage would continuously increase. 

I think unlimited damage increase would be most interesting to see, but only while having your aim focus onto a target.

even if it was unlimited damage just think that you need to be connected to the target for (8-10sec at least) to get a useful amount of damage per second

Seems like a good trade-off for the turret: high damage output at the cost of long aiming time and focus. You could potentially increase base damage or damage increase per second/tick to make it more balanced

Reposting some of my other posts and adding NEW Turret Ideas>.  12/2/2023      

Laser Turret- ( Short to Medium range ) has slightly more Range than Isida 10 to 15% More

Laser Turret-  Engerneering and science used Railguns Shells as ispirtion to Create a Short range/Medium range Laser Turret  

-Pro-  -Advantages- Plus.png-----   Decent Damage and longer range  than Isida ,

-Con-  -Disadvantages-  Minus.png -- Can not hit multiple targets , has slight delay between shots , user has to be precise otherwise it can miss

Battlemaster Or ( Shell Shock is a regular tank , takes a while to hit target 

Is a Short to medium range Turret\

Inferno Turret ----  Medium Range Atillery that shoots flame shells that deals minimal damage and somwhat afterburn , flame doesnt extinguish for a while , has a 5 to 10% chance to ignite the Previous spot if hit correctly , creating a bigger area of Flame on ground , Turret has a Fixed Turret  that can move up/down but not full movement as its short to Medium range

-Pro-  -Advantages- Plus.png -  Can Fire over walls , deals flame damage , has chance to ignite a bigger flame area 

-Con-  -Disadvantages-  Minus.png - Slow reload , minimal damage from shells even if afterburn hits , fixed turret cannot shift up/down high like magnum

Turrets are dealing damages which are abnormally very high. Especially those who use Helios, hyperspeed rounds, scorpions, firebird, thunder with fancy augments etc. (Twins is fine.)

My point is, let a person be alive on the map without spending any money.

Getting one shot across the map once is fine. But everytime seriously?

This makes the game really irritating.

-Just Nerf the damage. Decrease the damage multiplier of drones.

Augments are ment to be modifications not a whole turret pls.

Currently the aiming time is 1 second and the aiming recovery period is 3 seconds no matter if there's an obstacle between the user and the target or not.

 

This should stay for situations where there is no obstacle between the user and the target.

For situations where there's an obstacle between the two, then the aiming time should be increased to 5 seconds and the aiming recovery time should be decreased to 1 second.

So I've come up with a few ideas for new turret and overdrive mechanics that might be interesting:

Particle shot manual charging:

Turret - basically hold the fire button for it to deal more damage once you release it. The projectile will deal splash damage. It'll be a midrange turret.

Overdrive - like its turret version except more damage and the OD button is used to charge it up instead.

Constant laser beam:

Turret - basically a long range Vulcan except when it runs out of energy, it'll suddenly stop firing and require to be replenished. It'll be a long range turret.

Overdrive - like its turret version except more damage and it'll have a timer before it expires. Not sure whether to have it be stationary or just allow the hull to move during the OD.

Arcade dealing high burst damage per shot and secondary mode shoots out many less damaging shots that together becomes more damaging:

Turret: gonna be pretty similar to scorpion but instead of being long range, it'll be short range and wont be able to shoot over walls. Also the reload time might be shorter for both arcade and secondary.

Arcade using up 3 shots in a magazine while secondary mode uses the remaining shots in the magazine to create even more damage:

Turret - so if it has one shot left it'll deal normal damage, two shots means double damage, three shots is triple damage. The more shots that were in the magazine before the secondary mode was fired, the longer the reload will be. Arcade will fire the three shots one by one by one. Not sure whether to make it a short range turret or a mid range turret.

One big shot that once exploding on impact will throw out a number of smaller projectiles in random directions:

Turret - kinda similar to splash damage but instead of splash damage, it'll be the smaller projectiles that'll help with damaging multiple enemies at once. Midrange turret.

Bombs that'll kill the tank it falls onto:

Overdrive - so upon pressing the OD button, it'll spawn a tower with a deadly bomb on top. The user and teammates can hit the tower and it'll be like hitting a wall. If an enemy hits it, the tower will crumble causing the bomb to fall.

Another lightning turret:

Turret - a very high damaging lightning strike that can damage multiple enemies at once. Mid or long range turret.

They're just ideas for new turrets and overdrives.
