Differential XP

The game today is really not ballanced properly between low ranks and high ranks in the same battle. There is little reason to participate in a battle with more powerful opponents.

 

I suggest changing the way you get XP. The base for a kill is 10. This should apply if you kill an opponent with the same rank as you. If you kill a lower rank, you should get less XP. If you kill a higher rank, you should get more XP.

 

This will give players an incentive to go after higher level ranks instead of using the lower ranks as cannon fodder.

 

This should also be applied to capturing of the flag. If a low level rank gets a flag in a game with much higher ranks, he should get more XP for that flag.

 

A lot of FPS games do it (for ex. Borderlands 2). As you progress in ranks, you get a lot less experience killing things you once had a tough time killing but now not.
