Reason for crystal boxes?

Why did the crystal boxes get taken off? 

 

Becareful admins, read the question correctly because im not asking how they got taken offf or when. It's why?

The reason why crystal boxes were removed from the game was because they were distracting to gameplay (people collecting rather than playing) and as a result, there was a rather large population of mults in the game. This caused various problems, including resentment for the game, conflicts between individuals, and lack of buyers for the game. There were stories where people managed to collect 100,000s of crystals or even millions (might be exaggeration) of crystals just through multing. Thus, crystals were removed. And to say, this update actually helped gameplay and made the game more fun and competitive.

The reason the fund gets so high  is because the crystal boxes are being added into the fund directly. If you had played hard and stayed in the battle to the end, you likely would had earned a lot more crystals than you would have earned collecting them and doing nothing else.
