Mouse controls and changes in auto-aim mechanism

You know, i liked the mouse controls better when they were tested for the first time. I was on the test servers recently, but there was no place to post our ideas. Now they just stink. I have had to explain to people how to do it, and  although i don't, the majority of the people use Chrome, and i know this is not in your control. Now about the camera: It is weird, and there  needs to be a way to see the cursor without hitting  tab. People have to know where the cursor is and it is just hard. So for now, keyboard controls. I also don't want to find out about shaft for mouse controls. Is anybody with me?

For some reason, I can not access the mouse controls even in Opera. Tried two browsers for now; Opera and Maxthon. Both of them don't have the option, so, I can't even try them out.

yeah me too i cant play in opera, mozila and chrome

That is the MOST amount of dislikes I have seen Semyon Kirov ever get :-!

No, in the batt list update where you couldn't name battles anymore, semyon got 200+ dislikes.

It's a good update that you can choose if you're playing with mouse control or without.

But there's a problem with the new camera setting : the new camera positions when you turn make it harder to hit someone and even make me sick.

Can you create a switch that can turn the camera setting to the good old gameplay?

I have it tested right now, and I have to say it has improved from the first testserver implementation.

Thanks for the good work (beside the glitches.. but you will fix them soon).

I have some things I like / dislike (with reasoning), and I have some proposals:

(1) Turret keeps pointing ahead while I drive a curve with the hull -

Usually when I attack a tank with fire, freeze, twins, rico, smokey, isisda.. I drive fast towards him shooting him, pass by him while turing the turret and shooting him, and then try to stay behind his turret while shooting him. This is very effective.

With Mouse Control -> this can not be done any more, as the turret keeps pointing in the same direction (forward) and turning it right while driving a right curve requires an incredible sensitive mouse to not drive my mouse off my desk. This is not very effective.

Proposal -> when driving the tank into a curve please let the turret-to-tank angle unchanged (like with keyboard controls).

Benefit

-> same flexible attack possibilites like today

-> It is more predictable where my turret is pointing to after I drive a curve, cause the turret will not "try" to keep the direction

(2) To move my turrent once around by 180 degrees my desk reached its limits

With Mouse Control -> To turn the turret by a larger angle I need to go a long way with the mouse. This is not very effective.

Proposal -> Imagine my mouse starts at my desk/mousepad at a position called neutral_center.

Moving the mouse towards the left makes the turret spin to the left _infintely_ at low speed.. and the more I move the mouse to the left the faster it will go. When my mouse in my hand is 2cm to the left of neutral_center, the turret rotates at full speed (maybe 2cm is too far).

Moving the mouse on the table back into direction of the neutral_center let my turret spin slower.. until it stops when my mouse has reached the neutral_center position.

Same works for the other direction.

During all this actions the camera is always following the turret.

Maybe an indication at the top or bottom of the screen helps for actiing quickly.

This picture, the scale at the top:

http://www.gearthblog.com/images/images907/gehud.jpg

Imagine you have a scale (like a ruler) at the top of your screen that does _not_ move.. and a little mark moves to neutral_center to left or right along the ruler. PM me for more details if this was not clear.

Benefit

-> precise aim on long distances as close to neutral_center the turret rotates slow.

-> Quick turret rotation as today, while mouse keeps at a limited space on the desk

-> FAAR better playability with touch pads.

(3) I can look around fast

Usual -> I can only look around when I spin my turret. With some turrets this is sloow..

With Mouse Control -> I can look around fast, and when not acting the screen moves back to "aiming position". This gives me a great, _great_, GREAT (!!!) advantage in any kind of battle. To know what happes around, know where my team are and where my enemies hide is sooo cruicial.

Proposal -> I really like it. Please invent something like that for keyboard controls as well :) :) :)

When I swap from freeze (fast spin, can look around comfortable) to rail (slow spin..) I always feel like I got blind.

Benefit -> please, please, please give me 2 more keys by which I can turn around my camera fast left right, having it returning automatically when I push a third one (like Z-X-C today for the turret)

off topic:

A glitch I've found.. maybe some tester could look at it after the mouse thing is done. It is validated by other users, I've described it and I've a video with detailed explainations..  -> http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=247875

Guys ! Don't you feel how much Developers spent on this Mouse Controls ? They spent months to do this. If you don't like the Mouse Controls, so don't use it maybe it'll be better in the future.

The updated Isida beam is jumping too frequently, especially when there are multiple targets, and hard to lock on the desire tank like before. It used to beam the turret of a tank so that we may lock on the tank we want by aiming the turret, even there are many tanks around it, but now we can beam anywhere on a tank after the update that makes it becomes hard to lock on the desire tank when there are multiple targets around. Usually we want to heal/attack a particular tank but now it jumps from the one to another automatically.

Oh yeah i'm sure about that. I went on my mad-shafter account and once i used them, my scope was too far upleft, and it can't be undone. Now Tanki, Fix this now or else. Tanki should be a fun game. If it cannot be fixes, it will be my 3rd screwed up account. Plz upvote shafters.

I am with you here. I have said multiple times in the chat that i do not like mouse controls, and they are weird. Isida is just weird now!
