Hi I live on a planet called earth, if u haven't heard of it. Earth is called on the solar system, three planet from the sun. Earth has one moon, its neighbours are Venus and Mars. Earth is round like a sphere, earth is different from other planets, earth is the only planet that has oxygen. The ozone layer protects us from the UV rays, a type of dangerous gamma rays that will effect us if we did have the ozone layer. Recently science has discovered that Antarctic has a hole in the ozone layer, but it was meant to be there. Its because the climate in antarctic is a lot different to other countries. Earth is the planet where u can find many living thing and I meant that earth is the only planet that support living organism.

A satellite names Kepler (launched on March 7, 2009) orbits the sun every 371 Earth days. It has found over 1000 planets.

Some of you might know, but one planet it confirmed, Kepler 186f, had been in the news and said to have traces of Oxygen and being almost the size of Earth it also orbits a star at a distance enough to be called a Habitable Zone. It's the most Earth-Like planet discovered. Could there be life there?

Life could be anywhere. Even on one of the moons of Jupiter. What we are searching for is intelligent life. That is rarer than life, but certainly less rarer than someone getting an XT mission . I don't know why people jump up when a planet with oxygen and water is found.. Every planet cannot have the same history as ours. Maybe, oxygen is poisonous to some life. Maybe, some life survives on methane. Maybe they drink acetone instead of water. Once most people realise this fact, they will know that life can be present on more than 90% of the planets found by us.

It is true. Pluto's surface area is smaller than Russia, but we can't say therefore Pluto is smaller than Russia, because Pluto is a 3D object, Russia is only 2D (has no depth).

Actually, since Russia and all other countries technically own the ground underneath, that should extend all the way to the core of the earth. If somebody finds the volume of that "wedge" then we could see if Russia has a bigger volume than Pluto.

^ true

A plasma can be created by heating a gas or subjecting it to a strong electromagnetic field applied with a laser or microwave generator. This decreases or increases the number of electrons, creating positive or negative charged particles called ions, and is accompanied by the dissociation of molecular bonds if present.
