There are too many people playing in teams in the DM matches

Fed up with teams of "thunders" , "railguns" etc in death matches. Particularly when you have bought pro passes. It should be about skill in those games at least - but you haave gangs of people, usalluy divided by some religious, ethic or national catagory making it impossible for decent players to simply have a game. Tanki can you do anything about this.

Dude, Tanki can't do anything about it, apart from one thing.

People have friends, clans, relatives... Sometimes they go "hunting" as a company. Totally unfair for solo players, even in team format. But what can one do?

 

Actually, the one thing Tanki can do is create a new format for battles, called maybe "Random Battle".

In this format, there will be created battles  as usual, BUT participants won't see who's in it and won't be able to choose team. There will be a "play" button and Tanki will automatically put this player into a suitable team. Once in, the players will know who's with them, but invitations won't be available. So,play or leave. Thus the teams will be randomly selected.

(ofcourse, raiders will not participate in these battles, because they won't be capable of attending the same team)

"Teams" in deathmatch have always existed, it's simply a part of the game. Sometimes friends get together and have abit of fun, there's nothing against the Rules in that. I suggest smaller battles where teaming up is a bit less common. Or you could even find a couple of good friends to team up with, and your problem may go away!

This can be pretty annoying yeah, but I don't think the administration can prevent these things.

And even if they did, they would make a lot of people mad.

its ridiculous - ussually i start winning the game and then theres a lot of russian spoken and then everyone is attacking me and not attacking each other. what kind of game is this? ive had one guy follow me around from battle to battle not attaking any other tannk but mine - getting a low score and then doing it again. Its starting to feel like bullying of anyone who is not Russian

Is winning a DM that important though? 

The amount of fund that you get increases pretty much by the kills you're making yourself.

 

It's not like you'd get much less if you lose, like in CP, TDM and CTF.

winning in dm greatly increases the numbr of crystals for only 1 indivudal. Thats why the only reason for acting in a team is to spite another player becuase it does not benefit indivudals to play in a team. Lets be honest they are only doing it to bully people who do not speak their language. Usually non-russian speakers

The purpose of teaming in a DM is simple. Two or three co-operating players can keep each other safe and yet kill many others. Thus increasing intensively the D/L ratio and - in the end - the funds earned.

Acts like a kill multiplyier...

 

If you 're sure it had to do with language / nationality, I don't know... in fact, I have no opinion, since it's a long while I haven't play  DM...

I agree with the fact that this is not fair or cool. DM's should be just that, "Death Matches". Players who wish to team should be playing in TDM's or other game modes. However, like the first comment states, little can be done about this. Nor would I want to see tanki's "solutions" for it, if ya know what I mean ;)

The only way to deal with this is to make teaming in DM against the rules, but how are you going to prove that? What if the friends are talking on Skype and there is no evidence of them being in a team in chat? You would have to record a 5 minute video to get them banned for what, a day? Is it really worth the effort? I think the only good solution here is to invite your own friends and play with them. Or support my idea for making teams an official thing in DM  ;)

Dude, there isn't really anything one can do about it.

In a battle where everyone is on his own, you can't prove that two or more are teaming. You can believe so and you are probably right, but even with a video you can't prove that one not bothering another one means they are team.

It's a moral issue, just as constant drugging is a moral issue. People think it's ok to exploit whatever they can actually do, no matter how unfair play is as it puts other people under worse conditions than their own. It's a cheat, from an aspect, but a cheat that Tanki itself provides its players with.

 

Makes me wonder (as I am almost 50 yo) that today, people are not interested in helping others or enjoying together with others a game, but trying to win no matter how or exploit others as much as posible.

It's a pity really. This attitude leads to a bitter end as one day the same people will be the less strong than others and those other people will exploit them as much as posible. But they are not clever enough to think that.

Still a prearranged team communicating via skype can overcome the anonymity you suggest, but even so, it's a good proposal. Sometimes just improving a situation is ok...
