Ideas for Missions!

I agree that it's among the more difficult missions, but getting top 3 in a team battle really isn't that hard, I think. Obviously my perspective is flawed since I only play with this account, but I'd imagine it isn't "nearly impossible" to do in a whole week.

 

Not sure if sabotage is a worthy point here. I doubt that it's effective, since if you spend all your time trying to sabotage your teammates, you'll slow down their score gain, but you also won't get any score yourself, so how is that meant to help you surpass them? It's far more effective to just play and focus on the objective to get top 3.

You cant change weekly missions I think.

 

I never have a problem finishing in top 3, even when im not drugging hard. If you play enough battles, even if you are a bad player eventually you will get lucky and end up top 3. Its also much easier since they shortened the battle time, you have twice as many chances to get up there.

It is very difficult to do in 1 week unless you regularly play 60+ battles per week - 50% x 50% x 15 = 60 (at best)

There are a LOT of players that don't play 60 battles per week.

 

And players in the "upper ranks" that are new to that threshold obviously have a disadvantage Gismo or L1 playing L30 with full garage and drones is quite the handicap.  My lower alt account did it in 1&1/2 weeks (really 2 since the stupid system only re-sets on specific days) while this account is... 8/15.

 

Sabotage is possible when your Team is winning - you are in top 3 and the 4th place is trying to catch up.  Not common for sure, but possible. A more likely scenario is the case of a player in the top-3 who then will not do anything to jeopardize that position - like not sacrificing oneself so the flag-carrier can get away clean.

 

Git gud or go home

So... less players is good for match-maker?

 

Or change mission

You can't change weekly missions.

 

The fact that you advocate players that have trouble completing this mission should leave TO is - frankly astounding.  :blink:

True. My bad I missed the weekly part.

Weekly mission number one has different difficulty level, so it is either is a tough cookie, a middle one or easy one (activate 50 overdrive). So far I got twice "50 overdrives" WM#1, the first time it took me 5 days to complete. The second time only 3 days, so we can get better at certain type of mission by optimising certain situation or battle mode.

 

I hope there is no "score 25 rugby goal" this one would be a killer and too specific. Today I received "10000 score" it looks difficult, but lets see how it goes. If i don't manage it in one week, then it will be done in 2 weeks then. 

 

There is a lot of luck in the game nowadays, try not to over use drugs to save them for the right occasion, do the mission in 2 weeks instead of one.

Your ability or inability to complete it doesn't affect the other two, so you can still do them normally. And, more importantly, this first mission gives just one container (+ one weekly), so it's really not that big of a deal if you can't manage it in one week. With these two points in mind I think it's perfectly fine to have those missions be too difficult for normal players to complete in a week.

It's not about managing it in a week. It's about being able to complete it at all regardless of how much time it takes.

 

 

If not removal, then at least change it to where we can either change the mission or turn it into "earn 200 or so crystals in a battle 15 times or so"

You still can potentially get 2 weekly containers and 5 normal containers from the other two missions. Obviously it's much harder than doing one mission a day and getting 4 containers + other stuff, but to be honest, the previous system was VERY generous in terms of the work/reward ratio. 

 

I wouldn't underestimate the value of standard containers too much. The minimum you can get from a single container is 125 supplies, so for 5 containers that's 625 supplies at the very least, with a smaller chance to get things like 250 of each supply and large amounts of crystals. So if you don't complete the first mission, then you're missing out on around 400 supplies, but you gain 1 extra container. Not the fairest trade, but still not too bad.

 

You have a good point about the refresh time, but I suppose devs evaluated that players will be online more if they are encouraged to complete all missions in 7 days and not many will be inactive for a few days like you were.

It's not about managing it in a week. It's about being able to complete it at all regardless of how much time it takes.

No everybody is OP like you :) We tend to forget what is required to get top 3.

15 times top 3, it is manageable for good players in a week, but it is hard for average players.

​But you have done one already, don't give up 14 to go!

That's a fair point. Even reducing the number to 10 would be still difficult and with no option to change it you are stuck with it. Option to change after a week or 2 week should be available.

 

You should feed back on the main post (New Missions, Drones Update) if you have not done it yet.

Yea please remove it. I don't mind even the 500 kills mission, but this one just seems to be specifically aimed for buyers/no lifers while normal players can go take a hike.

 

I was unfortunate enough to get one of these "weekly" missions and it has already been more than 2 weeks on only 2/15 progress lol, I'd rather call this one a monthly mission... or yearly if I quit.

Thing is that in matchmaking, it depends on who else is in the battle. If the battle is full of noobs then you have a chance. If the battle is full of players better than you (skill or equipment wise, or both) however, your chances of being in the top 3 in the battle just went down the drain. It also depends on when you joined in the battle, where and how many times you respawned in the battle (getting spawn killed over and over again does not help your chances either), and what team you are in, are all factors of it.

 

I can list more but these are from the top of my head.

They tried before and it didn't worked out well, so don't expect a change soon. 

The forum is primarily for the benefit of the players (us) to exchange among the community and also receive news or participate to contest, not really a platform for communication between Alternativa and the players. Alternativa do answerers questions via the v-log or the CM.

I didn't count the rewards with arbitrary value since they're quite rare. Also their value depends on each individual person. I'm sure there are multiple football fans out there who just love getting football paints from containers.

I must be the luckiest (can't say that with a straight face) player here - cuz I keep getting them... :huh:

 

Actually that (quite rare) is almost like a kick in the batteries - instead of getting 10k crystals? - I'm getting another WC paint?

 

All kidding aside I really don't believe anyone wants 10+ WC paints in their garage.  I'm a hockey fan and i certainly would not want 10 diff hockey paints - rather have ZERO and a different 10 rare rewards than 1 (desired) hockey paint + 9 useless paints.

 

So... about 7 or 8?

Not everyone can do them, as they are nearly impossible at the high ranks to do.

 

Anyone that has them loses out on the reward they offer until they are completed.

 

This mission just encourages team sabotaging. One player will just end up sabotaging one of their teammates that's in the top 3 spots until the saboteur is in the top 3.

Agreed.  Since they started, that one is idle, having only two of 15 so far, and were talking weeks now.  And yeah, I have been sab'd a few times from third, it's pathetic.

unified modes in daily missions

 

so the current daily mission system with increased difficulty and reward makes completing missions waaay harder than before , especially if you get 3 hard missions , each one in a different game mode , not to mention doing them in 2 accounts .

 

so my suggestion is to unify all 3 missions to a single game mode so we wouldn't have to play for hours in order to try to finish them .

I usually play a support role with Vulcan rather than going after balls, flags, etc. So, I don't get to top 3 very often. It usually happens if I'm trying to clear out the enemy nest or do a lot of damage to many and they don't bother me too much. Even with the incendiary band I'm not making top 3, although my kills have increased a bit.
