Ideas for Missions!

I kind of wish Matchmaking would consider daily missions and automatically queue for battles that make sense. When is that battle list coming to mobile again?

That's not a bad idea... but MatchMaker is so screwed up, it still can't do the basics.  I waited through two entire cycles for a Rugby game to come up (6 full minutes).  On the third try, I got into this game.  Anyone see a problem?

Hey here's an idea for daily missions............... Quit giving me Deathmatch missions, because your rubbish servers time out instead of actually letting me get my mission.   Great way to treat the guys that are paying your wages and keeping your lights on over there.

 

BTW, good job doing all the other stuff besides resolving some really basic issues.

 

Yeah.  MatchMaker has ALWAYS sucked.  Sometimes it just sucks harder than others.

The actual number, 7, in this case, isn't a huge deal. It's where those 7 ranks span is the huge deal. I treat 7-rank brackets as normal. It's the 10-13 rank brackets that are bad.

Yeah, me too faced the same problem. When selecting any matchmaking modes, sometimes I get put into battles which have 4 or less minutes remaining. Sometimes, I get put into matchmaking battles that have only a few seconds to spare. I know that's not fair.

I disagree.

Since Tanki has added MatchMaker, there are no "TEAMS".  There's just rush into a short battle with a bunch of strangers, fight for 5 minutes, wait for 4 minutes and get shuffled into the next battle.

 

BEFORE MatchMaker, players might play several games on the same map - one after the other.  That was where you could get a sense of who the other players were, what their styles were and develop teamwork.

 

Not anymore.

 

MatchMaker KILLED that.

 

So what we should do is just reward INDIVIDUALS.

 

That's pretty much what's happening now.  There used to be a big difference between crystals awarded to the winning team and the losing team.  That difference is pretty much gone - which is good, because it sucked to be the best player in the game - on a team of losers.  So don't reward teams at all.  Reward the individuals.  And start with getting rid of the absurd notion that the "Top 3" mission has to be with the winning team because a great player on a crappy team shouldn't be penalized for something he has no control over.

Fun fact: Match maker is coded NOT to make balanced battles, but to balance your wins and losses. So you could lose 5-7 battles and then win another 5-7 battles. Essentially, Hazel LIED to us when he claimed that MM will make balanced battles. He later changed his statement saying "sometimes you win and sometime you will lose" before finally admitting that the broken MM system is rigged to make blowouts, which in turn makes more profit because apparently having several blowouts makes you play more.

 

 

 

I've practically stopped playing because of this, along with Challenges and the stupid new mission system.

That's where it sucks the worst. When you get a weekly that says "top 3 on the winning team", you hope that the other two missions aren't dogs because you know that one's gonna be a PITA.

 

Top-3 should be just that: One of the top 3 players. Not "top 3 --- and lucky that MatchMaker didn't put you on a crap team".

The mission doesn't say "Take top 3 of the winning team in the first 3 battles you play today", it can be done in as many battles are needed. You have the whole 24 hours to finish that mission. I'm not saying play for 24 hours straight, but you can play different combinations and modes. You will eventually be put in here a battle where you do well. Quit whining like a нуб on your 3 (!) different accounts. Git gud at a turret so you can do a different role than Magnum, a defender. Play something other than CTF, CP is a great mode for racking up points.

Many players feel that mission is a dog - you have little control over it since you can't pick your team.  I switch it out whenever possible.

I know. Players keeps on complaining about the this missions where you need to "take the top 3 places in the winners team". I have complained about that mission too. Since there are so many players complaining about this missions, why are developers standing there and not do anything about it?

 

This mission would be fair if it was like this: Take the top 3 places on any team. That is either the winning or losing team. Developers must do that for this mission. When players get "take the top 3 places in 15 weekly battles", that is very hard and unfair because many players cannot complete this mission within a week. That is yet another reason why this mission must be made more suitable for gameplay by allowing the losing team to "take the top 3 places", so that players on the losing side can still complete the mission.

 

Please developers do something about that as soon as possible.

Skill wouldn't matter as you could end up in a battle that is literally half over and players would have a huge head start over you.

 

You could also end up with at least 3 ppl on your team or in battle who are just either better than you, or have more OP equipment equipped.

 

You could also just be put on the losing team, and skill wouldn't help you there if the enemy team is stronger than your team.

 

So skill is irrelevant to the target. ;)

Defensive Missions

 

There are only missions that ask for control points or captured flags or goals scored. However, it would make sense if defensive missions were added such as flags returned or flag/ball carriers destroyed, etc.

Guess what? I faced something even worse than you. Colonel vs Commander. I was that Colonel with slightly upgraded equipment. Versus a possible full M4 tankers above Marshal. Oh, and one of them have M3+ Eagle equipped.

This is a good idea, would encourage people to participate more unlike "finish n battles" or "collect n boxes" missions which give people the option of playing passively.

Maybe in stead of the 'Top 3 on winning team' mission, maybe a 'Play CTF without letting the enemy score more than once

(or twice)' you need to do it 3 times for a daily mission.

But if you want something that doesn't depend on your team (for non-team players) you can have something like 'kill the flag or ball carrier' in CTF, ASL, or RGB. Maybe you need about 10 times to complete this as a daily mission.

The details need to be worked out-but I totally agree with this general idea.

Here are some concepts I made. Same general idea, different modes.

 

• Destroy someone with a flag in ASL (n) times

 

• Destroy someone with your team's flag in CTF (n) times

 

• Destroy an enemy who is carrying the Rugby ball (n) times

It's a nice idea but the only problem is that this would encourage more players to take Heavy hulls and just sit on the flag/CP whereas the current missions try and get players to contribute more to the outcome of the battle. If you find some of these missions too hard, you get 1 free change per day so you can always change it.

But not everyone will have that mission all at the same time.

What's wrong with having someone who can prevent your flag from being stolen? Does nobody remember the old mammoth freezes terrifying attackers?

Suggestion for daily and weekly missions

 

Hello 

 

So many people don't have time to play and finish the challenge and i hope you apply this.

 

 

My suggestion is, to put stars in daily and weekly missions.

 

Number of stars are being placed according to the importance of the mission.

 

in the Daily missions the easiest one give you 6 stars and the normal one give you 8 stars then the hardest give you 10 stars.

 

that's about the Daily missions

 

and in the Weekly missions do the same but more stars, like the first one give you 15 stars and second mission give you 30 stars then the hardest one give you 45 stars.
