Ideas for Missions!

COMBO Mission (Paint & Equipment-Based)

Introduce a daily “combo mission” that encourages players to use different paints and equipment.

Each day, a random combination is generated, including:

  • Paint (mandatory)
  • Hull, turret
  • Augments (hull & turret)
  • Drone, grenade, protection
  • Skins / shot color

How it works:

  • Equipping the daily paint is required to activate any combo bonus.
  • Additional combo items provide extra combat bonuses.

Bonuses:

  1. Daily Paint (required):
+20% crystals and +10% reputation after battle
  2. Attack Bonuses (turret-related):
Turret, turret augment, skin, shot color, grenade
→ +2% damage per item (up to +10%)
  3. Defense Bonuses (hull-related):
Hull, hull augment, skin, protection, drone
→ +2% armor per item (up to +10%)

Example Daily Combo:

  • Paint: Green
  • Turret set: Striker, Pulsar augment, Ultra skin, Toxic shot color, Salyut grenade
  • Hull set: Dictator, Miner augment, GT skin, Isida protection (Ocelot), Defender drone

Examples:

1. No Paint = No Bonus
You equip all combo items but use a different paint → no bonuses applied

2. Partial Match:

  • Green paint → +20% crystals, +10% reputation
  • 2 attack items matched → +4% damage
  • 3 defense items matched → +6% armor

3. Full Combo:
Exact daily setup equipped →        +20% crystals, +10% reputation
                                                                 +10% damage and +10% armor

Purpose:

Paints currently have little value. This system:

  • Makes paints meaningful again
  • Encourages loadout variety
  • Increases engagement with garage items
  • Promotes camaraderie and better team interaction, as multiple players using the same daily paint can feel more coordinated and connected, potentially improving team play

Drawback:

Players using the daily combo may become easier targets, as they can be identified by the required daily combo paint. This could also enable the creation of another new mission type based on targeting these players.

Notes:

  • The daily combo should be fully random and refreshed every day.
  • Bonus values can be adjusted, as long as they remain strong enough to encourage use of combo items.
  • The core feature is paint-based activation — equipping the daily paint alone should immediately grant basic bonuses, even without other combo items.
  • If you do not own the selected daily paint, you must wait for the next day’s combo mission.
  • Abuse prevention: equipping the daily paint only at the end of a battle should not grant any combo bonuses.
  • If possible, add a one-click option in the garage to instantly equip the full daily combo preset.

I want to give a suggestion to the Tanki Online team. There should be missions to get a torrent, and those missions should not have an expiry date. Once we complete them, we should get the torrent. Also, there should be no mission for a torrent we already have, like augments and other items.

I assume you mean turrets, and that is planned for future contracts.

The missions to unlock the Phoenix were announced in a vlog on April 7, 2023. Three years have passed, and while some players have already earned Phoenix, others would like to do so but are deterred by the fact that obtaining the Phoenix requires months of continuous play using the exact same combo. It is no longer a secret what the Phoenix does or what buffs and nerfs it applies. Nowadays, encountering a player using the Phoenix has become an everyday occurrence for the average player, someone who plays for, say, one to three hours, simply because the player base at higher ranks is shrinking.

Many players enjoy experimenting with different combos, but if their goal is the Phoenix, they are forced to stick to the same combo constantly.

My idea is to revamp these missions and the entire system.

Instead of grinding 5 million reputation points for each turret and hull individually, players would accumulate a combined total of 5 million reputation points across all combos. Once a player reached this 5-million mark, they could choose just one Phoenix, for turret or a hull. Upon selecting the Phoenix, the reputation counter would reset to zero, while all points earned prior to the change would be added into a goal. For instance, if a player had accumulated a combined 1,543,623 reputation points across all hulls, they would start with that number after the update.

I believe many players would welcome this change, as it would make obtaining the Phoenix much more straightforward.

Good idea, but the point of this was rather mastery at the start. I personally would rather they reduce the requirement but any changes on this would not be appreciated by those who earnt it the 'hard way' (Abusing TJR, ASL days). With Phoenix mostly unified, surely they could reduce that insane 5mill req.

We're overdue contracts however, but I don't think the game has any direction.

Let's see, if you do 1000 Reputations a day you can get Phoenix in 5000 days.

5000 / 365 = 13.7 years.
