Let's Discuss Missions!

 Share

Recommended Posts

Can tanki online admit that their recommendation system ALWAYS gives unwanted missions (the ones the user clicked to change the most in the past), so that the user will keep changing it, get nothing in return and consequently have a higher chance of actually spending crystals to get SOMETHING in return?

it's so obvious that it hurts. I can't be getting a DM  mission every time I change ONE of my missions.

The system is rigged and tankionline is ripping its users off.

Now I can see why tankionline REALLY wanted to introduce the missions!

Well played!

I will tell you a secret, that will surprise you  - missions are NOT obligatory !

If you don't like them - skip them, no need to cry on the forum or to expect, that the world TO should revolve around your expectations !

Again - even without doing any missions, you can still enter any battle on any server and play as long as you want !

What exactly leads you to come to this conclusion?

What proof did you acquire that let you to come to this conclusion?

this has absolutely nothing to do with the intention of this thread, nor does it add anything to it

even less so this:

Yay :)

sometimes I forget that most players in this game are <10 years of age. Having a serious discussion about anything here is practically infeasible.

It's interesting how off topic posts are just ignored by the moderators. Moderating, which is part of their job, is obviously something they don't have to consider applying. Only in TO.

Daily missions are random. How would TO know that you do not like DM missions if you did not tell them? The Daily Missions have set missions behind them. They are supposed to make you play various modes and styles.

https://www.coursera.org/learn/ml-recommenders

by clicking "change", you are basically "telling them".

you ll get the details when you obtain a degree in computer science.

while amazon, netflix and pretty much every other major company, recommend their users things that they most likely LIKE... tankionline is doing the opposite. "Random"? Sure... for the naive...

now, WHY they would do that is pretty obvious. Recommending you missions that you enjoy, brings 0 profit to tanki online. On the other hand, when you get a mission that you do not enjoy, you have to change the mission, and then if you get something that you STILL do not enjoy, you will keep changing and changing. As you know after the first change you have pay 800+ crystals. So by getting unwanted missions most of the time, tankionline is implicitly making profit.

Now why was their system working fine in the beginning? Because it hadn't learned.

All I want is tankionline to come out and admit that their missions system is not as random as they claim it to be. Do they have the balls to do that?

Guys, what happened to daily missions? Before, I sometimes got a cry mission. Last 1 or 2 weeks, almost every mission gets u supplies. Also, they became much worse: 150xp in DM, collect 1 repair bo - is this a joke?

I guess, they made them worse because of mission chains. I was v. happy with chains. But now  I wish they left the missions as they were without introducing chains :(

Maybe it IS random, just that the majority of the missions in the pool is probably DM.

my personal experience

I will stress again: the world TO is not made exclusively and specially for you !!!

Quite childish to extrapolate your personal experience to a rule valid for everybody !

... and again - if you think TO is personally cheating you on missions - just skip them ... you will be most astonished to discover, that you can still play the game !

my personal experience

That makes it an opinion, not proof. Please come back to complain about unfair missions when you recorded at least 500 sets of missions from at least 10 different accounts. If by then your results still show that less favourable missions come up significantly more often, then maybe you will have a point worth considering.

For now this is just another useless complaint topic with no evidence to support your claim.

kmpa, from your statement I remember an argument from real life....

My mom makes a mixed veg dish...and me and my sister sit together to eat it....I keep complaining that it contains all what my sister likes, and my sister keeps complaining that the dish contains all what I like....

Conclusion - things that you dislike the most, come faster in your attention....

Similarly, the missions you dislike the most, you think that they recur the most, however in actual, its all random....

And if you still think that you're been cheated, then you can go on...make a recording showing that your 'unfavoured' mission recurs the most in 100 clicks..

BTW, I would still suggest you that you don't try it, because we all know the result would be negative.l, and you'll end up wasting thousands of crystals...

People need to stop the stereotypr that every update or every system in tanki implemented is for their own profit and they just want us to be in loss.

If they really wanted it this game would be like buy the premium pass to log in. Like pay to play. But its still free to play! , missions are not obligatory i like them do them don't like them change them, dont wanna change them? DONT DO THEM for the new mission chain update doing 1 mission is mandatory for a weekly reward. So you can just skip missions.

I really doubt it, though this it the point of this topic, for TO to come out and elaborate.

I made a thread to discuss this issue, if you think this issue is useless, then leave the thread. No one is asking you to repeat the same B.S over and over again.

So you are asking me to create 10 different accounts, play with all of them for a long period of time and record what I see? I have a life to live, so I am not going to do that, which is why I created this thread, so others can share their experiences. I have talked to some other users who have had similar issues, hence the thread. Seeing how you can't or don't want to add anything of value to this thread, I suggest that you stop posting.

I am referring to missions that you change for the first time, which is for free. It sounds reasonable that after you have paid some amount in crystals, you will get something "favorable". But that is not the point of this thread

try joining any non XP/BP mode battle and survive for more than a minute while not being a buyer.

it might be free to play, but definitely not free to win.

I'm not asking you do do anything. I'm just saying that if you want to argue that a certain random event system is biased in some way, you need to have enough actual evidence to support your claim, not just come and create a complaint topic after you get unwanted missions for a week. If you don't know how probability works, then you can't possibly try to argue about it.

If you haven't been recording all the missions you saw, then your arguments here are just empty talk. Our minds work in such a way that we remember unpleasant events more than we remember pleasant ones. If you get a normal mission that you're OK with, you just complete it as you always would and don't pay much attention to it. But if you get a "bad" mission, you get upset and it leaves a better memory of the event in your head. So even if you were getting, let's say, only 1 bad mission for every 5 good ones, you would still complain that you get bad missions "all the time" simply because you remember the bad ones better than the good ones.

Like I mentioned multiple times before - without actual recorded evidence for prolonged periods of time you can't argue about bias of random events.

The above says all !

I kindly ask a mod to close this thread - there are PMs, in case the author insists on further sharing his/her assumptions and/or frustrations !

there aren't any "good" missions, I keep getting DM missions all the time and this has not been happening for 1 week, but started in the beginning of the month. I haven't kept an official record with screenshots, but I have been closely looking at my missions from the beginning of this month and all I keep getting the first time I change a mission every day is a DM mission.

Your whole theory about remembering the bad events more than the good events doesn't apply in this case.

OK, so from what I understand you're refusing to change your point of view regarding this claim of yours. I'm going to have to close this topic because at the moment all it's doing is spreading rumours and lies about the game without any reasonable proof, which is not allowed on the forum.

The Daily Missions system is fair and it has been balanced to fit different kinds of players, while at the same time not destroying the game's economy. If you think that's not true - please carry out your own investigation and provide actual evidence that would support your claim.
