I find this mission quite confusing. Doesn't it directly promote focusing on destroying enemies (TDM goal) instead of fulfilling different battle objectives in non-TDM modes?

I don't like these missions, and usually change them

I don't mind damage-in-any-mode missions, including the weekly one, because it's not difficult to do lots of damage in JGR mode and doing an amount of damage is easier than getting a number of kills, but damage-in-a-mode missions should only be for be for JGR and TDM because damage is the main objective

I do a lot of ASL / SGE / CP missions because I like the modes and there's the potential for high scores & crystals if you play well (I like RGB & CTF too, when there's no Hoppers. but not for missions), but damage missions for those modes take ages and they encourage people to play TDM in those modes...

... and I wish those people would go and play TDM instead, but they won't because they wouldn't be able to get easy kills from players trying to complete other objectives and would get killed more themselves, hurting their precious K/D

One forumer suggesting Top 2 15x but regardless of winning/losing. Meaning is worse case scenario you can progress if lose (provide that you are in the top 2 in the losing team) but the winning team in other hand, may have to face stronger competition. 

Another one suggests Top 3 15x regardless win or lose, pretty good suggestions.

I get that Alternativa want us to stay online longer, that current mission alone exacerbate P2W even further and I heard some dudes complaining it takes weeks or even months just to get that mission done.

This maybe, we don't want to make weekly missions too easy or too difficult for us to complete.

I can think something like complete 30+ particular battle mode (number can be tweaked if needed), excluding DM/SJR.

So I just finished a Top3-x15 weekly mission.   Whew.

Server reset and ... I get the same thing!

Has anyone completed this 300 overdrives Special mission? I've been playing the day since the missions came out and I'm only at 204 Overdrives rn. It's so hard since each match you will be able to use only 3 Overdrives at the max.

Just use a hull with a fast charging OD, such as Wasp, Mammoth and Crusader.

@LambSauce I won't be able to do that :( . I've only upgraded viking on my second acc to mk7 rest all are mk1.

Then try to play modes where you gain score faster e.g. CP, Assault, etc. but you will still be limited to about four ODs per match.

use driver drone it may help if you can kill many players per match

Equip Hunter and try and steal Nuclear Energy drops and use the OD immediately, and delude yourself in to thinking it's not multing because of Jamming

(I'm only at 39 overdrives though and not trying to complete special missions; if you're at 204 with 11+ days left, you'll complete it easily)

This mission is just insane, clean playing required you to play 100-150 battles. But playing in a rule where you focus to finish it will require you to play around 60 battles.

I have completed 146 overdrive usage, for around 40-45 battles. There were a series of Youtube videos I listening to, helped me alot to play this amount of battles, not sure if I can complete it in the next 11 days.

Also playing in a rule where you focus to use the Overdrives more is only for 50 ODs or around. But for 300 ODs, it's just insane and completely boring and unbelievable for 60 battles.

What hull are you using? I recommend you using one with fast-charging ODs (aka not viking).

Grinding with a particular OP combo, I was able to finish the special missions in 2.days. I decided to look at my progress and I found that I averaged 6.4 Overdrives per battle. I completed the Overdrive mission faster than I completed the repair kit one. 

 

If you don't have a combination that can do that easily, your best bet is Crusader.

For me, I use Hornet, as its passive charge is fairly fast. And when there is an energy box, I steal it when the overdrive is empty.

I used Crusader, Wasp and Hornet in order to finish the mission quickly. But don't worry, you'll be able to finish it even with Viking since there is plenty of time left.
