I played it amusing game. I learnt never to chase a cell too long if you're mass is not huge because they can slowly gain more mass by running on top of the little cells and they may get bigger than you and than eat you..

Yeah, if you reach a point where you're the biggest by far, it soon gets boring. Until smaller players start trying to push viruses into you and split you, that is.

One of the advantages at large mass is the sheer amount of small particles and new players which you pick up, even by going in straight lines.

Aside from that, my main tactic is establishing the corner of the 'map' and then slowly moving in and cornering multiple players - it makes for easy mass if they are unaware of their impending doom.  :) 

The only real problem for me at these stages is the viruses, as they can be hard to navigate around, and smarter players will fire mass at them in an attempt to split you.

Plus smaller players always seem to gang up on you so they can steal your mass once you have been split.
