Now back to topic... looking forward to GTA 6. I have heard/seen some things here and there and it is somehow related to our favourite old game for GTA fans like me, Grand Theft Auto: Vice city. Can't wait to see how it will be!

No, but it was a great game and the GTA 6 is somewhow related to it in a way so that remains to be seen.

I played a lot of NES games that i can't post

Well if you like to post some screenshots (of the game) you can post them and talk about them for sure.

Just refrain from promoting means of playing them illegally, like handing out links to download pages for ripped ROM images or explaining how it is done.

Out of sheer frustration at TO I actually looked at World of Tanks last night.

What a revelation. A professionally designed game with rich graphics and very realistic mechanics even down to different armour characteristics for front, rear and sides of tanks.

However, the most striking difference was in the lack of economic bullying by the company of its players. The lack of pressure to buy, buy, buy was so refreshing. Yes, there are options to buy but only for peripheral items that don't disadvantage non buyers.

The other very welcome difference was that in the relatively short time that I was on, I didn't get dumped out nor even get one single " an error has occurred " message. Lag was also noticeably missing.

Tanki management - considering that WOT is not pay to win, they apparently are earning sufficient money to have decent servers, hardware and software. Isn't it time that you pulled your collective heads from up your backsides and based your own product on what is obviously a far superior strategy and business model.

Sorry TO but you are outclassed and will soon be just a dim memory possibly used as a case study of how bad mismanagement killed off the goose that laid the golden egg.

Two days ago I caught winfd of a new game called Crossout. Itis described as Mad Max meets Twisted Metal. That sounds right up my alley. I watched a video of gameplay. Vehicles are all built from modules ... add more armor but to make room for it yo need to get rid of the jet engine "speed booster". There's a comlete off-combat development side complete with player crafting  the ability to sell / buy from other players.

And in reading that review I learned of two more ngames about 1-2 years old called Robocraft and Galactic Junk League.

The downside is system requirements. I know my system does not meet the recommended stats and maybe not the minimums. But that is a solvable problem.

To say Tanki  looks ancient and underfeatured is a vast understatement. Tanki Online is dead meat on a stick and Tanki X too. TX foes not come close to offering what these other games offer. It's just TO rehashed.

Lol, WoT is so far away from TO that comparing them is unfair. Wargaming is one of the most profitable MMO companies in the world, AlternativaPlatform is a pretty small and relatively unknown team.

That said I actually don't like WoT that much because of the stupid spotting system, grind, and matchmaking. It's ok at first but unless you buy a premium tank and grind out crews for your tanks you're going to be extremely frustrated when you get insta-killed by enemies you can't even see. The terrible grind on many tanks and the fact and you can get put into matches against opponents two tiers higher than yours (I have no idea why I'm expected to fight T-32s, IS-3s, and T-54 lightweights in a T-34-85) makes the game a miserable experience for me. You can have a great match simply wrecking in a match where you are top tier, or be completely useless in a match where you are bottom tier. Sure, Tanki pressures you to buy, but that is partially because of the playerbase. For example, if in Tanki Online there were no buyers, you would generally be facing same-equipment level players. If there were no payment options in WoT, there would still be a large imbalance in equipment level because that's how the game works.

Secondly, random number generator will either make you feel like the best player ever or will make you want to tear your hair out. +/-25% penetration values, aiming circles, and +/-25% damage values can be extremely annoying.

Third, artillery. I knew how much players hated artillery even before I started playing WoT, but didn't really understand them until I started playing it myself. You're driving along, shooting enemy tanks, and in general doing pretty well until you get hit out of nowhere by someone who's sitting on the edge of the map, far from the action. You get your tracks blown out, your crew is stunned and/or your modules are damaged, while the enemy team obliterates your tank while you can't do anything in return. You get no warnings. Maybe artillery can't one shot you, but it certainly can and will ruin your game.

I personally recommend War Thunder - it's more immersive, more realistic, has more strategic gameplay, and doesn't have invisible tanks, RNG, painful grinds, or artillery.

*talk about how WoT is very difficult, which I agree with*

I agree. WoT is pretty, I mean very, very difficult and tricky. Altho you could try its little brother WoT Blitz - it's WoT but without those Magnums arties, and it's far simpler than WoT. Also, it has +1/-1 tiers, so you can't face IS3s in a T3485 :P and that does mean you can shine in battles where you're a Tier 6 versus the whole enemy team being IS and Soviet TDs and whatnot. I have such experiences, well at least I think I do :P

Yeah, I end up playing WoTB far more than WoT anyway. Game mechanics are complex enough to keep things interesting without losing the arcadey feel.
