so, now you are saying that twins really dont do much. so whats the probelm?

Go test out twins in maps like Kungur. It cant even do full damage from one end to the other end of the bridge. That is why i stopped using it.

 

Vulcan is much more OP than twins. Vulcan+Mammoth m3 with a supporting Isida is invincible.

Why you think i want it so badly :P. Vulcan kinda spins your hull around which isnt always fun in CTF.

My space bar is cracked thanks to me using twins and vulcan on my WO1 account.

Just keep hold of spacebar and tap alt once, it'll shoot automatically so you wont need to touch it

Can you folks stop with this ridiculous "Skill" card like seriously dont even bother saying it to me because its just a desperate attempt to call someone a noob. The right combo is the combo you choose to use. You may be using a specific combo because its the only one you have, its the one your best with, maybe its the one you gain experience faster with. I obviously dont have the proper modification of my combo because i am waiting for the Tankmans day sale. Nonetheless my combo still works for me and i can still finish first in battles. Win even. I cannot however defeat a twins without circling him because the turret will just push my tank out of place and i will get damaged by other opponents. Ricochet is worse but it doesnt have the rapid fire. Its not whether your skilled enough or not, you dumb Generalissimos need to stop thinking your better than everyone else. Its getting on my nerves and frankly this game is hardly about "Skill" anymore.

 

No i dont think one combo is best for every battle. Thats why i use Wasp, Hunter, and Titan. I also use Firebird, Thunder, Vulcan, Ricochet, Freeze, Isida, and Railgun. That is a perfect arsenal for every kind of battle... dont ya think. You must understand that not everyone can afford all those fancy paints. Urban has the most protection on twins for my rank. Thats one weapon. You think im gonna go out of my way to buy that when i can buy 2 M2's and start working on M3's? Heck i could buy M2 Wasp and M2 Hunter at 50% off for the price of Urban. I would much rather save for lumberjack.

 

Hmm with every update that balances turrets and hulls your combo will start to change. I went from Freeze to Ricochet, to Thunder, then to Railgun. I am starting to use Firebird more often at the moment. You understand that Twins was never weak right... It was that many players had Urban from First Lieutenant. It made M1 Twins useless since most of those players got Urban from the Heavy tank kit M2. If you remember the Hull Kit M2 that unlocked at Warrant Officer 5, you would understand that most of those players who bought that kit used Viking M2, with M1 Twins.

It wasn't my target to offend you, or calling you noob. And yes, I am generalissimo but that's mean nothing. I'm working on my other account,caproz1, and I face twins m1/2 everyday, with no protection paint and just a freeze or a railgun to face them. Are twins strong? YES.should twins be nerfed? NO. As I sayed before, u must find your way to burn em up. That's it, but don't be angry with all generalissimo people that say to you that nerf twins is the wrong way to resolve the problem. We don't say that because we think we are the best and all others are noobs. Lots of us have other accounts and we know which troubles there are at lower rank (too much op kits, mults, saboteurs, no stop druggers, unrespectable players, every 4-6 mounths rebalances and blablabla). Twins are not one of those problem.

I play hammer. I have M3, and have MU'd it to 21/25 (will get the rest eventually, but next step is 17k cry so I'm maxing out my hornet armour for now instead!) Right now it does 109 points of damage for a full up close shot. And yes you get to blast 3 times in a row in pretty quick succession. so I could do maximum of 327 points of damage to someone in about 4 seconds....  BUT. after that, you're not shooting anything for a while. Pretty much any other turret has enough time to kill you in the time your hammer reloads. And a lot of people on mid range hulls drug armour which gives them more than 318 points to survive... 

 

Also, hammer has been nerfed in damage multiple times, and defacto nerfed in range when they increased the shot spread months ago. 

 

So against plenty of other turrets (rail, thunder, smoky, shaft) in a lot of maps you can be killed before you even get to hit them once. and if you are close to an opponent with a spew out damage turret, like fire or freeze and a heavy hull (or armour drugs) you will also die. 

 

Hammer is a turret that needs skill and a certain strategy to use. It is only OP in the right situations. so maybe you need to learn to avoid those situations if you don't like getting hammered... :-)  Other turrets are the same, with their own strategies...

ok there are a few things I want to know first.

1. what hulls/turrets do you use?

2. what maps do you play

3. what m are your turrets hulls (m1, m2, ect.)?

one last thing, you shouldn't realy be micro upgrading m1s or m2s with low rank m3s.

As with guns fitting the map…I’ve notice that some guns work better on some maps than others.

 

But as one who can not buy crystals, I can have only two guns (not counting my smoky, for which I don’t use)  and afford the upkeep. Even with only two guns I have financial problems. And then there the upkeep on my track, on top of my guns. No one who doesn’t buy crystals can afford a gun that’s suitable for many maps.

 

And the same  goes for my track, too. I have only one track because I cant afford another one and upkeep that one on top of all my other expenses.

 

So you can be annoyed all you want on in a game with mismatch guns because the reality is the same for most Tanki gamers as it is for me. We only have the crystals we earn in game.

If you have financal problems, that is completely your problem. When I was a rank higher than you, I had Thunder, Railgun, Hornet and Viking M3, along with Rico, Firebird and Isida M2. Not to mention I had decent paints(Rustle, Spark, Needle, Inferno). When I ranked to Generalissimo, I had 600k crystals and spent them on 50% sale to buy 4 hulls from M0 to M3. Titan, Wasp, Hunter and Dictator. (Also bought 2 paints before that, Savanna and Prodigi). Not many Generalissimos have this good garage right when they rank up(atleast non-buyers and those who dont win contests). I acomplished this by playing a lot when there were x2 or x3 funds, and I also concentrated on golds when they were up to 5k valuable. I never leave battles if I have a high score, even if I know I will lose. The last thing that helped me out: I play Polygon CPs, which tend to bring a good amount of crystals, even if you lose, you will get 20% less than your score.

I have a gun and tank combo. B)

 

Yesterday Tanki update nerfed my combo. :(

 

Today Fatal-Attraction overpowered "In house cheats" keep killing me. :o

 

Tonight Tanki will do a big rebalance update.  :wub:

 

Tomorrow I will be a  Fatal-Attraction overpowered "In house cheat" - kill lotta tanks - earn lotta crystal. B)

 

Its called "Tanki Marketing" - to tempt you to buy crystal to get the latest overpowered combo.  :rolleyes:  Thats RL.

 

I just have several combos + a bitta skill and make sure I do the Tanki surveys for free 2 gold 2000 crystal  etc. :D

Fatal-Attraction you never replyed to my earlier post. Read the last line and stop complaining and adapt to Tanki as it is, not as it was.

The above is a good example of the packed garage you can have when you play todays Tanki.

 

Fatal-Attraction forget old Tanki - its gone - if you play "today"  you can have lots of good gear like the good Dr. and ferdyg's friends 

 

I'm still using mines like confetti that cost 10 crystals on a sale - you need to stop complaining and think of ways of winning - always have an edge.

 

I got over 500c + mission for 25xp in 5 minutes the other day.

There is no doubt that Firebird is totally overpowered. It's damage is way too big, and burning time is too long.

I'd say that at small ranks, there are 90% of Firebird's in every battle.

Indeed it has VERY high damage but that is what makes the gun unique. If you can't tolerate the gun just simply buy a paint, preferably at the tankers day sale ;)

We already have freeze ruined and I don't want fire ruined next! Exactly how much do you want it nerfed?

And firebird actually has been nerfed. Like a year ago, a freeze was the only way to put out the burning damage. Isidas and a repair kit had NO effect. Also it got its range slightly reduced :)

You clearly haven't thought up of other reasons.

 

Firebird has the worst reload time and range of any gun. Firebird M0 and M1 is unlocked early, allowing lots of MUs and early exposure to an M1.

Thanks for your apology> Most Generalissmos say that all you need to do at high ranks is buy "Rock" or "Urban" but ook at the prices of those paints,then think about if its worth it. Twins has unlimited fire duration so it wouldnt matter unless you have an isida by your side and if the battle doesnt really have Thunders, Railguns and Shafts since those are some of the most annoying weapons to come  across when you are fully drugged. 

 

I cant play on my Third Lieutenant account because, Ricochet has become weak, Isida has become weak with most players now having M2 Viking, and Hunter, and Firebird is insanely weak without MUs. Dont even get me started with Smoky M1. Currently Railgun is my best turret on that account but it doesnt deal with those twins in maps like RIo, Combe, Sandbox, Arena, Noise... Best thing to do is hit and run but thats difficult when a base is packed.

I seriously need to buy a new keyboard. Playing tanki for the past 3.5 years isnt doing much for it except breaking it... Anyone have any good suggestions?

Twins needs to be nerfed as soon as possible.

I think that Mammoth M1 is a little underpowered. 

Viking needs more health...

Vulcan is very weak right now imo... at least at the lower upgrades, it can't even kill medium hulls without burning up... and that is without any paint! I think it needs a damage buff or should be able fire a few seconds longer before overheating.

In my opinion the damage of certain turrets, although being quite high, is not as unbalancesd as their impact force. Hammer, Vulcan, Ricochet and Smoky have high impact force, as they should have, but I'm wondering if in some cases its not too high...

 

Its inpossible to go in a straight line when under fire from a Vulcan (even in my case with a M4 Viking), and the tank flips so much that 90% of the times you end up against a wall and can´t really move anywhere, and just get killed. If the intention of the gun ws to mimmic a machine gun, well that doesn't make much sense.

 

Rico and Smoky's impact makes it impossible to try and have a shootout against them as long/medium distances, as your tanks just does backflips with every shot you take.

 

Hammer has a ridiculous damage and is able to shoot at several tanks at once, does it really need to flip them with the first shot too? Tanks flip 90º when shot by it, giving little chance to try and reply to it...

 

I'm not talking about nerfing the guns and turn the impact force of these weapons into the impact force of an Isida :D but neither should the only hulls not affected by it be Titan and Mammoth.
