Let's Discuss Game Balance

Been looking over past updates with nostalgia...The Tanki I knew when I first started is now vastly different...

EX: I was snagging a flag and a M0 Freeze got me in its icy grip. I was panicking slightly because I was afraid I would be destroyed. Now when I see a freeze I barely bat en eye.

So true....wasnt even that long ago that freeze was better...... the only reaskn that freeze ever even gives me a problem is cause m2 is availabl so early, and i have m1 combo.... before its update in late 2015, i allways though freeze as the superior since it had a better DPS and it froze people....now it slows them so the DPS needs to had a much bigger increase...though if the devs increased it then it would be op with its damage.....they need to rethink freeze again....

They should do both. Increase the freeze effect and decrease the damage.

Though Freeze must imo never be allowed to become as strong as it once was, because

Freeze was an OP gamekiller in those days.

The freeze effect lasted way too long and if the Freeze didn 't finish you, his teammates would

because you were completely defenseless for as it seemed ages.

Freeze nowadays is perhaps the worst turret in the game.

While his fiery nephew wreaks havoc, Freeze has lost virtually the ability that gave it it 's name.

It 's sad that even Freezers tears don 't turn into icicles no more... :(

How does something as simple as a freezing effect get to be so complicated?

Just make it freeze them in place, completely imobilizing them, and deal no damage.

Actually that would be extremly op in many cases XD

Battles like Poly CP would be impossible is a freeze was there

lmao than how would you ever build up a score? capturing points and flags? might as well not even use a turret at that point...

Really hate the release of Vulcan and Hammer.

Ruin short range strategy (quick attack) and long range strategy (drive to/leave enemy base).

Paints? not solution... they not reduce the impact...

Increase the factor luck, and buyer of game.

Decrease the factor skill, strategy, and fun gameplay of game.

I hate the changing equipment in battle too...

I agree wth all of that, even in my rank i can tell hammer will become pretty op, but not with changing equipment. If your annoyed with people constantly changing equipment, then im sorry, suck it up cause the devs added tha because ao many people wanted it. If you dont like that, go into PRO battles that are either with Change Equipment off or in a XP/BP battle where that stuff doesent do much.

One of my straegies is to constantly switch turrets so the enemie cant get a paint thats effective, or ill change depending on their paints. I doubt im the only one who thinks like this, im not that unique and special :P

Aye, I mean honestly Firebird's burning effect lasts for like 12 secs if anything Freeze's slowing should last around half that amount...

I think nerfing the damage on high upgraded isida and makeing the burning of Vulcan unchanged by paints like Zeus or Marine(lower ranks)

Edit: also make it so Vulcan has more burning the moe its upgraded. M2 Vulcan that is fully mu-ed is actually better than m3 Vulcan with no mu because m2 has less burning. The burning increases only with the M upgradeing, not any mu upgrades, so if that was changed then it may become slightly mkre balenced(so m4 Vulcans would be harder for an isjda to heal than a m3, thererore m4 may not be able to dominate as much)

The burning increase with M upgardes only - like really??? That makes no sense...

What you said about isolating paints from the burning - makes me wonder why firebirds don't fry themselves and freezers don't slow themselves.

Freeze enemy.

Cant chase, cant run lol.

I don't follow your logic, the idea is you completely freeze them in place for a few seconds and they can't catch up to you.

What's the notion that the user can't run?

Really hate the release of Vulcan and Hammer. Get in line.

Ruin short range strategy (quick attack) and long range strategy (drive to/leave enemy base). Really? I thought it made it more clear; Drive up to the enemy and shoot him. Or in Vulcan's case, spray lead at them.

Paints? not solution... they not reduce the impact...  Does somebody use light hulls? :3

Increase the factor luck, and buyer of game. Really? Most buyers I've seen have unique combos that might as well be M4, having been upgraded so much. .-.

Decrease the factor skill, strategy, and fun gameplay of game. For the user, not for you hopefully.

I hate the changing equipment in battle too... Was this an afterthought? Why didn't you make it a separate post?

Hammer is pretty OP but there are plenty of ways to fight it, Vulcan is a lot more challenging.

Can 't say that I was happy when Vulcan got released...

A Hammer paint can work but not so much on a light hull. The shots are so powerful that

a paint is most of the time useless.

Vulcan paint is indeed not a real solution at all. The impact force makes an escape difficult and

extends the time you are exposed to fire. Damage is almost always huge.

quote: "Increase the factor luck, and buyer of game.

Decrease the factor skill, strategy, and fun gameplay of game."

I think easy-play turrets are inevitable. Without them we would all have less choice in weapons,

and thus game style and skill level.

And TO needs buyers: in the end we all do if we want the game to continue.

Why not just say "Twins"?

Well, twins does need some skill when going against turrets like Ricochet,Hammer, and other Twins cause the impact force can really make a difference in who wins the mini 1v1, cause you really need to make every shot count when faceing off in short range or with high impact-high damage weapons

Then shame on me! I get killed once in a while (on Brest using Shaft hiding behind the left-side wall) by Wasp/Twins with no necks.

hello, my little friends! I returned that continue talk about different aspects of game.

Twins? Its one of the most difficult gun in this game. If someone thinks that the Twins - a simple gun, he either did not play on it or played only in the modes for noobs (such as CP polygon). At least, it is definitely more difficult Vulcan, or, for example, a hammer, and the current realities and Rico. Even 70% of hits on Twins absolute majority of local "experts" will never show. It's time to learn how to think for themselves. None Twins will not be very correct for you aim(sorry, I do not really know how to "shake the aim" will be in English (Мафиоза помаги пожалуйста)), or shoot across all map, and none Twins never win DM Polygon on an Mammoth holding the space bar all time.

Twins combined with Hornet is the only combo that imo needs some skill.

With Wasp it takes even more skill: but it 's too unstable and thus not an effective combo at all.

Hornet/Twins is a combo that has to be played very agressive to get the most out of it.

The combo effectively becomes a short-ranger in battle, but still has the possibility to

attack at medium distances.

Nice combo that can take most of the dullness out of Twins

All other Twin combo 's are imo easy play.

Ofc Mammoth+Twins it's easy combo (instead mammoth may bе titan/dictator/viking) , but... Which gun (except may be viking+railgun) in this hulls requires some skill?))

And again, the mammoth Twins + yes, it is simple, but ... where we can show good results on it?) While the mammoth/titan + volcano found on ALL maps (of 2-5 in team :D)  on top of the tap.

You say that the Twins a simple, corny oblivious to gun game that surpasses it in every way, and requires far less skill ... Why?

All guns that need proper aiming require skill. Combined with a light hull they are the most demanding

combo 's, still also in combination with a heavy hull they definitely require skill. (guns like Thunder, Smoky, Railgun)

That a heavy hulled Vulcan is often on top of every battle instead of a heavy hulled Twins, has completely

nothing to do with skill.

First Vulcan is the most OP turret at the moment: at least at M3/M4 level.

Secondly the Vulcan works on a majority of medium and large maps,

while Mammoth/Titan with Twins can only be really effective on smaller maps.
