I played some battles with BlackWasp's alt, but he spent the whole time talking with his other friends so I never had a chance to ask him anything.. :(

Yes, I remeber that one.. this was a funny set of 3 battles :)

There where you and two more friends of mine; and those other two guys I have not seen for a fortune ;)

but I didn't mult, I still worked for my share :P

 

Best thing was

BlackWasp: must be the shaft (remark: he was a true skilled killer and I wanted to distract him)

BlackWasp: Ah, so you spotted the girl.. it's the drugger :p :p :p

How does that even happen?

He probably meant one-shotting in one clip. With 2 DD shots an M3 Wiking is dead, which is nearly instant killing (less than 4 seconds).

Hmmm... I was either partially damaged (but less than half) or it was actually two shots - less than full clip for sure.

 

M4 Hammer with DD does over 2100 damage with one shot.

my wasp was a good hull but now the nerf has made it unusable if anything needed nerfing it was the ricoshet I resently got bested by a ric close range with my flame!!! :wacko:  :excl:  :excl:

Why did tanki remove the ability for freeze and firebird to shoot through other tanks? That's part of what made them special.

I used an afk mammoth enemy on wave to protect me from an enemy with firebird xD he wasted his whole charge and i flew off lol

I noticed that Greece's freezing affects is too strong at m0, about right at m1 and m2, and too weak at m3 and possibly m4. So my idea is to create freezing parameters for freeze. So that we can decrease the freezing affects for m0, and increase it for m3, and m4.

The freeze effect is too strong at m1 as well, but yes, it's too weak at m4.

I have M4 hammer. On double damage it one shots EVERYTHING. It is the most OP turret in tanki without a doubt, just most people quit using it because of the short range. But mued to M4 it has fairly long range. Even without drugs I can usually go into enemy bases and slaughter. I get sometimes 3-4 kills or the flag before they finally kill me IF they can. On drugs though it is a beast.

IMO it's right up there in a tie with Smoky for most OP turret.  

 

Tried out the twins alteration on the test server and I love it, definitely worth the money for a gameplay change like that.

I played a DM battle on Future last night and came across the first player with the alteration for the M1 Smoky. I shot him a couple times before he turned to me (he was an M1 Mammy so my shots must have hardly tickled) and with one shot, my tank spun a good 80 degrees to the right. by the time I was back on aim, I was shot again. Instead of fighting him....I ran. Never before had I done that from another Smoky user (I usually fight them to the death) but this guy was just mad!

Vulcan is fun as all hell, but the alt for Smoky seems fun as hell too...but do I want to spend 70k more to get the Northerner and the alt just for the sake of an increased impact force? I'm leaning more towards getting Vesuvius...I wasted the entire enemy team is seconds last night on Rio where as I would have been there fighting for my life with Smoky, but with Vulcan, the enemy was running to save their own butts...

 

In short, I'd save 20k to get a kit with a turret that's a lot more fun to use, or pay 20k more than that plus 50k for the alt just for a strong impact force with a turret that's harder to use...

I solved that dilemma by having my Smoky main and bought m1 Wasp/Vulcan for my alt on Halloween. I'd used Vulcan quite a bit before, but it was only after the update and after I put it on the Wasp that I was sold on it. But you are right, Vulcan can be a beast. So can Smoky too, heh.

As you are new to this game, you might have missed the vLog on fighting Smokys.

 

If you drive up to a wall or any other hard obstacle, and keep driving into it, your tank is stabilised.

If a Smoky shot hits you, it can not turn you that far, because your tank driving into the wall prevents that.

 

Of course you loose the mobility completely.. but to stand there and fight back it is pretty usefull.

Railgunners use to do that if they can't make use of cover in time. With Rail it's kind of hard as you have only a slow turret rotation (well, this became better for low ranks with the update). With Smoky you should have ne problem.

 

Sure you can not take out the Mammuth then. You do outperform him in DPM (damage per minute) as you have criticals and he doesn't.. but he has more health then you and you are not in cover. But maybe it helps you one day vs other enemies.

 

At least, you have now an idea why the hunter is more usefull. It's higher weight makes it spin less and it's ability to do peek-a-boo helps to. The shorter hunter with the better acceleration reduces his target and your exposure time. If you are behind a small piece of wall, the enemy smoky does not know on which end of the wall you will pop out.. the likelyhood that he misses you if you do it clever, is pretty large.

I was able to buy M3 Vulcan on the Halloween sale. At first I did not like it much but I had been saving crystals for a while so on this MU sale I got it up to 25/50 before I ran out. My mamy is now, like, 40/50 and I put it on it. The difference in getting it to 25/50 is shocking! With no mu's the turret just wouldn't turn fast enough to kill moving tanks, especially wasps and hornets. NOW it does but it still needs to be faster. I am saving crystals as fast as I can for the next mu sale. I can't wait to see it on 50/50. I have found though that Vulcan is not just a defense weapon but it attacks great too. Go up close to the enemy base, kill everything you can, and that allows your team to run in and get the flag while all the enemy team focuses on killing me. Also found out it is not great for some maps, which is fine. On maps with little cover you will just constantly have 3-4 rails shooting you. I just can't find enough cover on Kunger if you want to camp. Leaves you pretty exposed. Mamy is not the "pop out and shoot" kind of hull.

Those last few MUs (48-50) will be sickeningly expensive though. May not be worth it unless you have nothing else to buy.

Im not "new" to the game, this is just one of the many accounts i have accumulated over the three years of playing. But you're wrong about hunter. Yeah it has faster acceleration but for any tank, it takes a couple seconds to get to top speed and viking is faster so, really, your exposure time is reduced with Viking. Plus, if i see a tank i know i cant take down and they dont see me, i dont bother shooting I just go the opposite way. But in cases they see me, I will stay and do whatever damage i can if there is no where to run, but luckily i did get away.
