Let's Discuss Game Balance

Do you have a higher-ranked account? It's much worse up there.

Of course  they can afford the PRO pass, but most PRO battles are xp/bp, and besides that, there are so many toggle-able settings its hard to find a good one. Many of the multi-weapon, supplies-off battles have a flag or point limit but no time limit, and those tend to go on for hours.

I have a Legend 6 main acc. Most of the time I'm able to find a battle that suits me well. But it's true that I hate xpbp and sometimes its pretty anoying to see full server of then. What if there were 2-3 servers designed for these format battles? Any thoights?

K, so two ideas here.

Take off the invulnerability factor on the repair drug

Look, I don't really know why this happened in the first place, but it doesn't really make sense for you to be immune to basically everything for a few seconds when you repair. From a gameplay standpoint, it means that you can effectively storm anything and not only come out unscathed but also have your health completely replenished on your way back to your base or whatever. Every other drug has something to counter it. Speed drug counters speed drug, shield counters firepower and vice versa. An invulnerable tank cannot be touched by anything in the game, save a shaft at full power, and that's only for light tanks. Not to mention that it negates any effect from freeze or firebird. And even from aesthetic point of view, it doesn't make sense. If anything, when you repair something, it's vulnerable while repairs take place, not untouchable.

Anyhow, I have a solution that I think works. Simply take the invincibility off the repair kit, and make that a new drug. Repair now heals instantly, full health, and removes the effects of burn, freeze, etc... Invulnerability lasts for 2-3 seconds, you can't be damaged during that time, but burn and freeze still apply. Repair and invulnerability can't be used within some amount of time of each other, say 15 seconds or so. Invulnerability probably wouldn't work as a supplies that falls from the sky, but that's not really a problem.

And completely separately:

For shaft users: make the sniper mode movement slower

Ok, so this is going to sound weird, but coming from a guy who uses shaft and who has been doing so for a while, both before and after the update, it's actually much harder to aim when your turret moves very fast. In some fringe cases, it's useful for quickly reacting to a rail or something close, but most of the time, the time that it takes to center your aim on another tank (which is usually something small), that tank is gone. The best way to fix this while keeping the fast speed would simply be to slow the acceleration when you move your aim in sniper mode (doesn't sound like much again, but it would make a huge difference). Alternatively, I would be completely fine with just going back to the old aiming speed, even though it was a bit slower. Shafts got nerfed pretty bad with the new update, which certainly does make them more fair compared to other long-range guns, but this just feels like adding insult to injury.

(Also, sorry for the weird background on the font, not sure why it's there)

1. The Repair Kit doesn't make you invulnerable, but at low ranks the turrets inflict so little damage it has the practical effect. However, lets say you have M3 wasp. Even while your RK is blinking, a Shaft can one-shot you. However, I do agree that the RK should last for less time. :)

2. At low ranks it might be hard getting used to the fast speed, but that is a neccesity. At the high ranks the pro Shaft players have insane reflexes and they know when to release the spacebar while moving the scope very fast. It is necessary for picking off those nasty railguns as they peek out from cover far away from where your scope is.

The game is balanced and that's why u can't defeat m4 tank if you have only m3 or m2 tank.

Otherwise who would be willing to spend crystals on new modifications?

Pretty logical, isn't it? ;)

Not really...

I can outflank and outmaneuver a titan M4 with viking M3.5. I can beat it in a race to the supply drops. What I can't do is defeat a titan M4 with double armor who also happens to pop a repair kit whenever I've almost killed him. These M4s also never run out of supplies...

They do have an advantage being M4 - and may have turret alterations and better Protection Modules.

Best solution is to try to find "Supplies Disabled" battles (I know - not easy to find) or battles with rank limits closer to yours.

Higher ranks will always have an advantage. Best to stay away from them until you have more competitive equipment.

Or join a larger team battle where you can contribute without being in direct 1 vs 1 against an M4. Two M3.5s can defeat even a drugging M4 Titan.

Yeah, it's difficult to find a battle that doesn't have legend ranks in it. There's not much variation.

I was thinking of buying titan if it's 50% off. The downside is it's lack of speed, but at least it's more stable than viking which spins around when hit at an angle...

It's worth it to have a heavy hull.

You won't use it much in maps like Kunger (unless you like Vulcan) but in small / medium maps it keeps you alive a lot longer.

The new Titan is not unlike the old Viking. It is far more nimble than people expect of a fat hull esp on speedup. I don't think you'd regret the purchase.

Anyone who says the game is balanced has either never played Tanki, or is being paid money by the devs.

Except for the stock Firebird, in a no-drug battle it pretty much is. :) Of course, we're talking same-modification equipment.

That's the thing, no one in battles ever use same modification equipment. And supplies contaminate battles, and if its a non-drug battle then its an upgrade battle.

The prices for weapons are unbalanced. They are too expensive any way you look at it....

Are you being paid by the devs :O

The Firebird got so much weaker than the last update. Instead of the promised 606 damage per second for my turret, at point-blank range I usually do only up to 30 damage per click. That's only 120 damage per second (~20%) of the stated damage! I use a Firebird M2 MUd 34/50, and the Thunder M1s do similar damage to my Firebird at short range (with the M2s and M3s being way stronger). I think the Tanki developers really need to think before they make all the short-range turrets obsolete on all maps.

Well, keep in mind the damage counters display damage every fourth-second, and the promised stats are of one second, or four counters.

But I agree, Firebird is too weak. It gets knocked around and is hard to keep the cone on target. That's why the afterburn effect was introduced. I would at least halve the reload time...

Hello Everyone, I think that the M2 Rail is very underpowered. I play with even M1 tanks and I almost get outpowered. M1 Fire is a disaster along with other turret. I am really in huge stress from this issue since I cannot even get into M2 battle being safe from other tanks. Either give it more power or something. 500 damage is embarrassing, especially when you cant even fully damage M0 Hornet. I have tested it out on M0 with no rail protection and it is embarrassing. Rail is my favorite Turret, although, making it stress you out is not part of the game. I am even saving for M2 smokey for next sale when my rank is high enough. Thank you for your time and Merry Christmas.

Get the alteration, super powerful.

Well, people are complaining about the M2 rail being too similiar to the m1. But there's something quite important they overlooked: impact force.

Impact force (knocking off aim) can save your life. If you knock a light tank whos chasing you into a wall, or only steer him a few seconds off course, you can get another shot off and destroy them. I'ts actually pretty usefull and a sizeable upgrade.

I've never heard you say a good word about the game.

Why do you play?

I would leave if I knew of another game :)

As long as the game doesn't require a download I would leave as soon as I heard the name of the game.

And the reason I haven't said anything positive about this game is because this game has nothing positive about it. It is just a business earning money from kids. If Tanki cared about its players they would do one update that benefits everyone, they would make prices cheaper or increase the player interest per battle, they would take supplies out of normal battles and put them in PRO battles only, they would stop upgrading the shop and at least pretend they aren't desperate for us to buy, they would take upgrades out of the game, or at least put them into PRO battles and the list could go on...

Once Tanki does an update that makes everything cheaper then I will say something positive about Tanki. 'Till then... no!

That's fine Dan. There are countless games available. I hope you find one that manage to remain operating without any income.

But what I think you fail to understand is, everything you say here will be ignored. There is no point is taking suggestions form someone bound and determined to dislike the game. And by ignored I mean by the devs not by forum users. Why would they? You're frustyrated they do noit listen to your POV but you've told them as much that it is impossible to get your business.

[shrug]

Happy trails.

As a Vulcan player, the RK invulnerability is really bad.  If an opponent uses RK, I can't stop shooting because it will take me too long to power up again.  And if I keep shooting, I overheat without having done any damage.  It's a real pain.

Hello Pros, do u guys know what kits will be there tomorrow and their sales?

Nobody knows the kits that will be there in advance. But you can calculates the "turret-sale" price this way:

Take the price of the turret and halve it.

Add up all the price of of the items in the kit.

Multiply the total price by [100-discount%]. For example, at 65% percent discount, multiply the total price by 0.35
