Let's Discuss Game Balance

Remember when Thunder was unique because it had splash damage?

No, you probably don't.

Developers decided every turret ever should have splash damage.

Remember when Railgun was useful because of its great damage?

That doesn't matter now.

Developers decided that every new turret should out-damage Railgun.

Remember when Smoky was the go-to turret when you needed great rate of fire?

You might not.

Developers decided to add a turret that makes Smoky worthless with its greater damage and a reload speed that's not even noticeably faster.

Remember when Isida was relevant?

Developers decided to strip it of its identity and make it outclassed by Firebird and Freeze. The experience that you get from healing allies, if they even let you, is so infinitesimal that it's not even worthwhile.

Remember when Firebird was nice because of its burn damage?

Nope, you can get burn damage on other turrets too.

Alterations are over-powered.  Their effect or time of effect can be reduced by 50% and still be a good alteration.  No need to be able to make so many kills per press of the shift key.  Balance is also allowing all tanks to enjoy and take part in the game.  When tankers leave games, it is usually because the game is not balanced.  One shot kills can occur with or without alterations, but that does not make it fun for tankers being shot.  Being able to use the freeze alteration to continuously re-capture control points or score in assault does not make it fun for everyone.  Freeze protection should protect against this.

The new turrets add a bit of dynamics to the game. People will remember railgun for penetration, smoky for critical hits, magnum for the complex artillery mechanism, hammer for the shotgun style gameplay and gauss for its unique mix of thunder and striker. But I do agree that some things need to revert to the old Tanki I remember playing in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 on my old and now unused account. For instance, battle list battles should have rewards and the same rewards as MM battles, Old isida for its healing and XP awarded on healing and also COMPLETE REMOVAL of Alterations and reverting ALL Overdrives to the old system that only dictator now has.

DECREASE PROTECTION IN XP BP

The title speaks for itself , actually-- there is too much protection for hornet m2 in XP BP ... I actually had a battle(garder 1vs1) in which that guy was so lucky that I could only 2 shot him once or

twice. Please consider this and make the protection around 10% for hornet m2 and 6% for wasp m2... it is ok if u change the protection percent but please reduce it

Magnum is still able to 1-shot my titan even when it has double armor applied!

So much for game balance!

Because the player may have had Hornet's Overdrive activated + double damage, or a Booster Drone.

What would you guys say is the best turret/hull at midranks(m2) right now?

I know the ones which cost more are better. So that would be Twins or Smoky as your turret and Titan as your hull, I guess.

Well deserved nerf for Gauss

The reload time for Gauss is too small for its sheer damage. Either nerf that, or nerf the aiming time e.g the aiming time could be raised to 2.5 or 3 seconds, because, with DD, it can kill any hull. Please change this. Thank you.

When you see colonel with 50% Railgun protection

To be honest, we wouldn't be having this problem if there weren't overpowered alts for Railgun. The amount of times I've died to Large Caliber Rounds Railguns enraged me so much that I got 40% Falcon without sales.

There's some things that manage to get on my nerves, like Duplet or Magnums, but LCR is the one thing I hate going up against most when I don't have Falcon on. What were they thinking when they increased the damage to the stratosphere? (no pun intended)

If that wasn't enraging enough. Hornet can make any railgun protection useless, while LCR with Double damage and Vikings OD can kill juggernaut in two hits which is essentially in by the blink of an eye.

Actually, no. It would take about 5-8 shots (from full HP), but they come out so fast and unexpected that the Juggernaut wouldn't have time to react properly.

I've actually killed a jug that just repawned in 3 maybe 4 hits.

Don't know, I don't pay attention to that stuff carefully.

Well, you should, if you're gonna makes claims. Gotta make sure you rule out everything that is achievable within the game. And then work with what's left. An almost M# LCR (which i assume is yours) is able to 3-shot a Juggernaut with Viking's Overdrive and double damage, if the Juggernaut had M1 HP. And I see a good number of M1 hulls in Juggernaut battles around KillerDiesel's rank.

I'd say always pay attention to your Jug and the enemy's Jug's GS. But then, that might be just me. If one number is significantly higher, then that Jug is dealing loads more damage than the other, which leads to that Jug being able to kill the other faster, as well as defending itself more efficiently.

Some other stuff I look at, I remember names. Tie them to specific combinations. If I lost the enemy, and see that their name wasn't on the right side of the killfeed, then it means they're still alive somewhere, and they need to be dealt with while they're still vulnerable. If I remember them having a weak combination, and I see their name in the killfeed with a Jug icon, then I know that this Jug is weak and aggressive play will work out better.

Problem is the nickname display in battle is germ sized in HTML5.

Hi guys and gyusses. I came here because I heard that @Opex-Rah personally sometimes answers the requests of the sufferers here. So, can someone (for example, the MAIN GAMEDESIGNER ???) explain to me the meaning of the existence of the Magnum in our game? What is the point of playing against a gun that can cause you damage and you don’t? What is the point of the game against the owners of the "reinforced gun carriage" alteration mounted on the Hornet, which takes you oneshot at any distance without requiring any shooting skills at all????

Hazel-Rah hates campers and safe zones so he added this turret to "keep people moving" and "you can't be a coward in your base with Shaft anymore"

He even said "oh magnum is balanced" while everyone was complaining that this was a broken turret and needed to be removed. It only got nerfed a year later.

Note that I disagree with his unpopular opinion.

totally agree about the Magnum.... they are the biggest campers and they are supposed to fight campers...Magnum should be discontinued ...

What about the RGC Magnums that go on the front lines? Do you despise them as much as the ones who camp?

I really dislike Magnums because of it's mechanics. But I don't mind RGC Magnums, it's mechanics are related to the game. However, I don't like the fact that players only starting using it after the Hornet's Overdrive.
