I've been trying out the HTML version today, have the hulls and turrets been tweaked? I got my Titan one shotted by Rico, no I'm not kidding, and I've seen  viking/shaft running around killing everything and seemingly invincible. 

 

Sick and tired of being killed by Hammer/doublet from miles away, same with Twins and Rico. Turrets constantly getting more powerful but the hulls stay the same. Either nerf all the turrets by 50% or give all the hulls another 1000hp.

 

If you want balance in a game play something else.

The hulls haven't been tweaked except for their ODs recently.

 

HTML5 just makes everything much more stable. Even Viking is playable.

Why Gauss does not have a laser for his sniper mode?

 

Shaft and Striker have a laser, but Gauss does not. I'm tired of being one shoot by this OP gun. Not only this gun is OP in Sniper Mode, but it does not have a laser.

 

Either give it a laser or remove Shaft/Striker laser.

 

Like, why Gauss has this advantage compared to the other 2 turrets that work the same way?

Average damage for m4 Gauss is 1745.  That can't even kill a light hull.  Would take a (well) above average shot to kill light hull, or DD, which you can counter with DA or Protection Module.  Otherwise it's Booster drone or Hornet OD (which is not a turret problem but an OD problem).

 

Gauss does not do the same damage Striker and Shaft can do when laser enabled.  Hence no need for laser.  And... Shaft laser can be hidden - I've been killed by shafts many times without any notice.

In the vlog the devs mentioned they might give smoky a projectile like thunder in the future.  Will smoky still be worth playing? 

 

I also feel like if they do that autocannon will become garbage, as it was designed for long range, since criticals have no drop off, and autocannon is based all around criticals.  Making it a projectile would mean it wouldn’t work at long range, which defeats its purpose.

Idc about average damage. With the alterations, drones and stupid ODs like Hornet OD, I am always one shoot by Gauss, with Viking M4 and DP.

 

Gauss have the element of surprise with no laser.

Gauss have the element of surprise with no laser.

Gauss has no alterations and this isn't on Gauss... my m4 Hunter gets one-shot by hornet Rail all the time.

Rail has nothing to do with this, just like Smoky, Thunder... Gauss has two shooting mode. And so far, the sniper guns have a laser. I don't see why Gauss does not have one, it just does not make sense.

What?  Rail is a comparable to Gauss in many aspects.  If Gauss was so OP we'd see more of them, considering there has been at least 2 sales since turret was introduced - one of the sales at 50%.  But I still see 3 Rails for every Gauss encountered.

 

I also point out the difference between those with laser and Gauss.  Those with laser do a lot more damage and can one-shot medium hulls without any enhancement.

I find gauss not having a laser extremely annoying and occasionally OP, but with it it would be garbage.

 

I am going to point out you seeing rails more than gausses may be because there are no crystal gauss kits, and because most f2p players won’t have it, especially at higher ranks, since they probably planned out what they were going to buy next and can’t afford it.

I agree the Gauss would be garbage with a laser.  Return (killing ability) would not compensate for making a beacon of yourself and getting way fewer hits.

IMO it's the splash mechanics that need a bit of a nerf.  It does too much damage too far out from point of impact.

 

My F2P Lt. General account bought the m2 Gauss and has it upgraded to m2.10  Also have the m2 protection module upgraded to ~ 31%.

It's all about priorities.  Some players spend crystals on many combos, or devote many crystals to drones.

Guass has been out long enough for players to have bought it and used it.  Does not seem to be the infestation that Magnum was when it was introduced.

That's true, it's been half a year and I'm still not in the position to buy Gauss or its module, simply because there are too many other things that have a higher priority (now especially because of the Mk update)

Well... it's not like you are too poor to buy it.   

My point was - if Gauss was so OP we'd see more of it in battles.  Players would change their priorities and buy Gauss instead. They are not.  IMO because... it is not as OP as some claim it to be.

In matchmaking you get maybe 1 decent battle for every 9 terrible battles.

Most battles are one-sided because of 9999 GS buyers.

Ok, so I bought a PRO pass in order to find some balance and to get away from drugging.

Joined a few battles and tanks are just sat around chatting. Then when you (or other newbs) start playing you suddenly realise that they are all teaming. In DM I'm getting buzzed by an isida from one side whilst getting hammed by a hammer (with dragon breath... so annoying) from the other side.

I see shafts teaming with hammers, fires teaming with ricos. What is this nonsense? What has happend to tanki.

No wonder the PRO battles are empty. I saw one other guy join polygon DM and he got the same treatment... suddently getting ganged up on by multiple tanks. How boring and pointless.

In the picture below I count 20 players in DM PRO battles. This is 4 pm UK time.

I find battles unbalanced because...

1) One side starts with more tanks than other and caps quickly

2) Selfish tankers bail when they realize they will not get 3 stars.

 

FYI - you don't need to buy Pro-Pass to play Pro-Battles anymore.

I don't use that any more - too many in-battle errors.  HTML also has errors (not as stable as they claimed) but is somewhat better.

I still need to get accustomed to HTML5. I really don't wanna leave Flash but I'd be holding myself back by not getting accustomed to HTML5 beforehand.

I was holding back too - but - I kept getting a black screen or the "no-damage" bug and had to keep refreshing my browser. 

Was too frustrating so I switched.  Still not completely comfortable with HTML5, and maybe I never will be.  Hopefully they keep improving it.

Not gonna lie, flash has some features that HTML5 don't have. Like being able to go directly in to other players profiles, view of mission progress in battle, being able to see what alterations you and everyone else has equipped in battle, being able to add friends in battle.

 

But in HTML5, I do like features like free pro battles, current tank is the main menu background, containers are right there so you don't have to go to your garage to open them, and that when you get hit in the corner (most noticeable as Viking) it's not so dramatic as it is on flash.

Y’all have any recommendations for good turrets and hulls at M2? I’m at lieutenant colonel, and I have Firebird, Isida, Hammer, Vulcan, Railgun, Thunder, Gauss, Hornet, Hunter, and Mammoth. I don’t play this game too hardcore, more of an on and off thing, any insight as to which turrets and hulls are the best at my rank/ fun to play?Don’t wanna MU an M2 to M3, just want more turrets and hulls for more variety.

Rail is not comparable to Gauss. It does not have an OP sniping mode. Are you playing the game? I see at least 2 Gauss per team in almost every battles, it's insane.

 

I don't see why you need to point the "without any enhancement". Enhancements are in the game, that is a fact. And it makes the sniping mode of Gauss way too OP.

Rail does not need an OP sniping mode to do high damage across the map with no warning.  That's the comparable.

Of course I'm playing the game.  2 Gauss per team?  1/4 of the team is Gauss?  Come on... maybe 1 battle every now and then. But not regularly.

 

I mention "without enhancements" to point out that even if you protect yourself, you can stil be easly killed because those turrets just counter with their own enhancement.

Shaft kills medium without DD.  Defender uses DA and shaft can kill it with DD.  You have 48% protection?  you better slap on DA as well because you are still going to die. That's what I meant.

You already have a huge variety of m2 hulls.  If you are planning to play this game long term, you must, and I emphasise must, decide on one or two m3 combos.  

 

If you only want to have fun, this account will be useless if you don’t save for a m3 combo.  You’re gonna have to make a new account.

 

You already have a bunch of good hulls and turrets.  It is unnecessary to get more.  

 

Also, ask this in the What to buy? What is better? Topic instead.
