@wolverine848 The reason why the hornet's OD had the ability to ignore damage is to compensate for the weak armor it had because hornets is very easily killed such as (i.e) shaft being able to one shot it from a long distance or any long ranged turret. (Prior to the testing stage of Hp increase) Furthermore, you also have melee turrets with ridiculous Damage per second that can still kill hornet very easily. Whats wrong with Ap status is yes it still did the same thing as hornet did before like you said, but The only problem with it is that it has to be visible in line of sight and cant be activated behind a wall plus your camera view throws it off sometimes  . and lastly you have team mates wont sometimes try to help you make the hornets OD effective otherwise it goes to waste. (PLUS THIS TOPIC IS FOR NERFING THE DEFENDER DRONE) Please take your discussion for nerfing hornets od or any topics relating to hornet elsewhere. Tank You :D

I'm proving your bias.

OP items are good when YOU are using them.  You have no drones so... nerf-em.

@wolverine848 1. how am I being biased. 2. I have been giving you my full analysis on the topic. 3. What evidence that you provided or a full explanation to counter my statements because you haven't really given a full analysis on the full picture I even had to repeat myself twice and give 1 thorough explanation.

@Jefer762 Like I said earlier in the comments, I had multiple alt acc to experiment  to make a final conclusion on how op the drone is. I even said before that I preferred using this acc because its my first acc to not have any drones in garage. In my other acc's I do have drones. I have used every single drone in my experimental acc's to see that defender has the least weaknesses in it. In fact almost no weaknesses due to it having a long time of defense.

You are now being obtuse.  I explained exactly how you are being biased in the post before this one.

Yes, you have given us YOUR analysis.   You make it sound like that is "the last word" on the subject when in fact it is NOT.

What evidence can someone give to prove a negative?  Defender has already been nerfed by 50% - went from +200% down to +100%. And if any of your analysis is based on past 2 weeks that's a huge fail.

Could Defender use some kind of nerf? Possibly.  But you did not even offer any solutions.  You just stated why YOU don't like it.

IMO it should receive a nerf on the cooldowns.  It allows DD to be activated very quickly after the DA - and THAT should not be allowed.

The advantages of drone vs no drone is very significant but the cost (crystals, batteries, and extra supply usage) is very high as well.  I think both the cost and the advantage they give you are too high.  If you use a drone in MM, you are losing crystals every battle except when crystal multipliers are high.  The meta of the MM battles I get in is such that you almost have to have a drone to do well. 

I think the exception to that can be an aggressive hopper hull without drone repeatedly pushing to cap which is very difficult to combat.  An aggressive hopper with Crisis or Defender is damn near impossible to stop.

Without a drone, to successfully battle a tank with defender you need to use status effects and consistent damage from turrets that aren't protected against by modules.  Freezing and AP/EMP effects that remove armor are obviously the best.

tbh, for old Hornet's OD, no one praise it except two!

One is a big buyer and didn't realize that his strong is just because he is a big buyer and think that's it his right to have things OP like Hornet and 9999GS

And the second one is a weak pale non-buyer who is in a real disadvantages in the game and get rekt in every battle, so for sure he will think his Hornet is so weak

And for well thinking I will consider MysticBlood is from the second case?

FLYING CHEAT dominates like no other piece of equipment, just like HORNET did before that.

I have a hunter/vulcan with defender drone 10/20 at lieutenant colonel rank. Hunter is MK6 9/10 upgrades, VULCAN mk7 1 upgrade. I have MK 4/5/6 protections all with good upgrades, and i still struggle to do anything against the FLYING CHEAT when they have taken our flag. My G/S is way above theirs in most battles but means nothing at all.

On this account if i see FLYING CHEATS dominating like they nearly always do, i just go for kills and make sure i come top on the inevitable losing team.

Even at these low ranks they are starting to clearly make a huge impact in battles.

They cannot be stopped by conventional means from dominating battles.

Along with the serverley broken MM system, the xp/cry ratio, the very low score you receive, this OP hull gives rise to one sided battles in almost every battle i go into, regardless if i win are lose. These reasons more than any are why i only do missions then stop.

Comparing defendr to the FLYING CHEAT is like comparing MK3 to MK7, no comparison whatsoever.

I've seen it enough times to realise that nothing comes close to what it can do because of its OP overdrive and its basic mechanics, this gives it a unhealthy advantage over every other hull.

These are the FACTS regarding the FLYING CHEAT.

ookaay okkay Hopper is OP but where is the problem if I said Defender is OP also?

also I see EMP Gauss is more OP than Hopper, so can I broke all of your point about Hopper just because I see EMP is more OP...

Hunter's delay is the one thing that makes it at least somewhat possible to fight against when you use any hull besides Hopper. Remove it and it instantly becomes the most OP hull in existence. For that reason I'm actually glad that Hopper is able to counteract the stun, but I also fully acknowledge that Hopper is a ridiculously overpowered hull. I'm almost certain that Hunter won't be getting any changes, but instead Hopper will get nerfed. And I doubt it will get a delay, but what's more likely is that the stun mechanic will either be reduced in range, or somehow reduced in power (e.g. it no longer makes you drop flags and balls).

For the time being, if you use Hunter, just make sure to keep an eye on enemy Hoppers and never use your OD near them if you can see they have theirs ready. Or just equip stun immunity if you have it.

Also the OD charge needs to be fixed, because it's ridiculous that you can jump, score a goal, respawn and instantly have OD again.

Certainly not fully, maybe up to a certain %. Otherwise there is no strategy. Maybe have the hopper range further reduced so Hunter can activate its own just outside Hopper range. That's already the case with 25 meters (Hunter) > 20 meters (Hopper).

I personally think hunter's OD is fine with it's delay, yes it gets shafted by giving away the action, and by a hopper. But it lets you move into a dome with that 1 second, or premeditate a stun of someone jumping in etc. Learning the timing, thinking ahead and also knowing whether a titan or wasp or hunter or hopper or viking or ares will have their OD's, it will yield results if used wisely for the team rather than selfishly. Considering how many Hull OD's it can counter, it's pretty balanced tbh.

Having a good OD retention may be needed for Hunter though.

That would make Hopper even more awkward. It is a light hull so it has less reaction time than compared to a Hunter which has better protection and its Overdrive also removes enemy supplies.

I had typed out two ideas for hunter overdrive buffs, not just the one but whomever moderator read that didn't like my idea and deleted like half of my text.

You should have just let me use caps for the end part or I wouldn't have noticed.

why does hopper not have the stupid one second delay after you hit the shift button before the overdrive does anything?

there are so many stupid defender drones with emp hull protection to keep their stupid little handicap drone ability on.

I was playing hunter in CTF with a bunch of hoppers and I couldnt stun them because they stun me first because they have no delay and they move faster.

I wanted to try convince whomever game developer reading this, if any, to just strip hopper of every ability except jumping, which is a massive advantage by itself, but I am more likely to convince someone give hunter some love

two things to buff hunter:

hunter deactivates the (14 second long 6x the damage and 3x the impact force) viking overdrive trash that everybody is using right now

 

and/or simply....

 

GET RID OF THE STUPID DELAY ON HUNTER OVERDRIVE THAT HOPPER DOESN'T HAVE

 

no game developer will look at this anyway

It looks like the two week double health disaster test is over and viking overdrive is 7 seconds again. Apparently that moderator is a viking player only and is too blind to see the overdrive star symbol above an enemy hunter.

Every second I think to criticize hunter's OD I cancel after that, cuz Hopper OD is horrible, and it wronged the hunter a lot by taking its ability with a new advantages.

Btw, I really hate the OD and couldn't accept them ever... it give the "noob" a chance to kill me even if he is worse me.. like if a player with viking OD and for sure he will kill me in a glance, or hopper OD what kind of skills can I do when I just be stunned? etc...

Hello i agree with @master_howitzer about the thing hopper OD have a second delay which make it more op than the hunter. I found this second delay more like op or annoying when at DM special map events when we have golds people are spamming those hoppers in the battle and this second delay make you so powerful at DM mode more than any other. I would like to suggest in any other modes right now its not so much annoying but at least instead of losing the supplies when someone is using hopper and you are close to him we keep them but we still stay like stun at same place.

I think Hornet is OP. AP Status for the whole team?!

I think Hopper is OP. It jumps.

I think Viking is OP. Turns every turret into MACHINE GUN CHEAT.

I think Hunter is OP. I don't like EMPs.

I think Dictator is OP. Gets Supplies from nowhere.

I think Ares is OP. It shoots a slow ball of destruction. I tried touching it, but it wrecked me!

I think Titan is OP. Spawns a sphere of Defense.

I think Mammoth is OP. It was shiny, I ran straight into one, and I blew up.

I think Juggernaut is OP. THE BIG TANK WHICH OVERDRIVE PUSHES ME AWAY CHEAT is pretty annoying tbh.

why the hell did they change the color of 9k gs + . Now only buyers and veterens can get the muticolored gs :( . Such a useless update

Yes, it's a base that every OD is OP... but Hopper is OP of OPs
