If you read/remember my other posts, a couple times I said I also want Twins to get a small projectile speed buff. (Not as fast projectiles as Ricochet though, but a bit faster than they are now)

It kinda sucks that we're usually talking about changing one thing at a time so its hard to see the overall big picture of things. I got a bunch of changes for everything in the game (mainly update reverts lol) so it would all make more sense if I said everything at once - which I did many times in the past lol but it doesn't seem to catch on.

Opens your profile sees why you dont use drones that long. Sees the first letter of your hull. INSTANTLY CLOSES IT.  Who needs drones when you have the cancerous Viking.

 

1) barely used viking since they swapped it's characteristics with Hunter - and that was before ODs were added.  I went out and bought Hunter after that and only sporadically used viking.  Titan and Hunter are my most-used hulls since introduction of ODs.

2) Are you saying you never used hornet-rail during it's 2+ years of dominance?  The only other hulls you've used much at all are hovering hulls.  Hornet before status-effects were introduced makes viking look like a pop-gun.

I used hornet rail before ODs were a thing. And It was more skill back then lol. I used rail hornet since when they released them. lol I've been playing for a while now with them. I did had a noobish account long ago but I never used it after I forgot the password and I can't even remember the name. I was 6 or 7 years old. But I do remember making over 60 accs at some point. Then not using them anymore. This acc I use now is my 82nd I believe lol. Anyways Viking still had advantages back then with its hit box and parameters even before ODS. Rail Hornet will always be my main combo I use in any MM mode or any battles.

Hornet did not require much skill once it got it's unique OD.

Hornet was pretty hard to use back then because of its low HP base, and still now. But drones and OD changed it lol. But seriously Hornets still gonna be my main no matter how many nerfs it gets. I use it for the drift mainly.

Or how about Striker's crit shot deals the same damage as regular rocket.

No, Bad idea I guess as Striker is already very weak. Freeze Critical damage is much more per second what about that?

Think you should create a new account and use striker as your main turret on it. Many people are already saying its pretty strong. Besides, I'm  not suggesting that the base damage gets nerfed. The critical hit is strong enough that with a fully MUed Brutus it can one shot an unprotected medium hull.

If freezes critical was so OP, then why was nobody complaining about it? I've seen plenty complain about strikers critical.

I think you should just get more practice using striker, since you complained about it being weak.

I have seen a lot of complaints regarding freeze critical damage than striker's critical damage. Maybe we are from different Tanki Online Worlds ?
When I play MM I see more Freeze than striker soo....

Ok, if you think that freezes critical damage needs a nerf, then why not just make a topic to suggest it? ?‍♂️

And like I said this is a topic about striker. I'm not gonna change it to freeze just to make you happy. I could care less if it does.

Besides comparing striker to freeze is like comparing apples to oranges, or McDonald's to pizza hut, or a rabbit to a crocodile. There's just no comparison, they are completely different from one another.

Exactly my point. Apple has it's own characteristics and so does Oranges. But at the end of the day they are both "Fruits" or in this case "Turrets". If you truly considered Striker to be OP then rather than suggesting that it needs Nerf then you should be playing with Striker ?. idk if you play on Legend account or not but on legend MM battles, Striker is bad. Nerfing it more is a bad idea.
Railgun is dead now on MM after the recent update, or atleast thats the case on higher ranks and the same will happen to striker if they nerf it more.

I believe you never met this account. If you click the profile, you would see that its doing super well even when the most used turret is striker.

I don't play on legend ranks, and I don't even want to. In fact if one of my accounts reaches legend, I'll ditch it in a heartbeat, I don't care if I spent alot of money on it or have a lot of active friends on it.

Why?

Because most legends are just pure tryhards, not to mention have toxic attitudes. Most just use busted drones or augments.

What nerfs did striker "receive" recently? The only changes it recieved were buffs. They overbuffed its critical damage and buffed its reload quite a bit this year.

I have never seen a Hull this broken since old Hornet OD.

Everyone says it isn't OP, yet 90% of every battle, even in capture modes, are VIKINGS.

I think a good nerf to Viking would be to not boost OD bonus damage, or have its acceleration slowed down.

For now, I'm gonna have to agree wholeheartedly with a Viking nerf. The melee turrets with Viking's Overdrive were lagging behind ranged turrets since the first nerf in 2019. Then for some reason, they buffed the ranged turret damage coefficient in 2020. I'd've wanted the range turrets to be needed down to the level of the melee turrets, but then they raised the melee turret damage coefficient from x3 and x4 to x5 and x6, as well as raising Vulcan's damage coefficient (this was long overdue).

 

Some previoisly bad augments (in their own ways) with Viking's Overdrive, like Small Calibre Charging Machine, Plasma Torch, Autocannon and Reinforced Aminint Transmission were specifically buffed to be on par with the others.  instead of controlling Viking, they encouraged its use with all variety of turrets now. Not to mention it unfortunately pairs nastily with most Ultra-Container augments being produced. 

 

But before you nuke Viking's Overdrive, first nuke Defender and Booster, and nerf Lifeguard. Lifeguard is for insurance that it doesn't become Defender 2.0 after TTK goes up.

I'm not understanding how ALL the vikings in the battles these days have OD more often than... my Hunter.  1 I can understand - it gets lucky and finds the drop-box.  But ALL of them?  Every time they attack our base they have OD ready.  Makes no sense.

 

Raising the ranged turret damage coefficient was on par with giving Freeze a 400% damage bonus for critical.  Just stupid.
