Let's Discuss Game Balance

Am proposing for change to hammer ( pellet spread and reload)

A shotgun where you have to reload in front of the opponent isnt really an effective model as the first shot would damage the target. Pellet spread should be at a more immersive / straighter angle like a semi circle area of effect but sightly shorter

First 2 shots should have a shorter reload and the third shot should have a slightly longer reload. This would optimize it for short range encounters rather than having to empty out all 3 shots, increasing efficiency. A slight miss results in signicantly less damage which is nonsensical, so finishing the target in 3 shots requires more accuracy than any other weapon.

Maybe each shot you can fire after its reload stage so full clip divided into 3 you can fire each after reload by holding spacebar down, but to keep things balanced the reload would be slightly longer so if 1 clip would take 3 seconds to reload it would take 4 seconds with this, but full clip reload would be the same by not pressing spacebar

Sounds like an unnecessarily complicated change. Just buy the two hammer alterations and both problems will be solved. It narrows the bullet spread so you can shoot further, and 5 shots are usually more than enough to destroy an enemy.

I think that Striker's lock-on is fine at low ranks, but underpowered at higher ones. Why? I find it hard to lock-on to a Titan or Dictator M2 on drugs. And remember - Speed Boost does not decrease the lock-on. Also, my lock-on will be the same at M4 as it is now. Does that seem fair? I think the same upgrade differences should be applied for the lock-on as the reload. This would make it's M4 lock-on 2.52 seconds. This seems more fair, considering that a Mammoth M4 is nearly as fast as a Hunter M0.

Lock-on ("aiming") time actually does decrease with M-level.  But I agree it takes too long and needs a tweak. I rarely get off salvos against enemies on speed (basically all enemies).

Striker is waaay more effective in Pro-battles with supplies off.  If the usefulness of a weapon changes that much then there is an overall issue.

I just did some calculations and the improvements from one M-level to next M-level are...

4%   3%   3%   4%

Which is terrible.  Hull speed increase are more in the 5% range.  So going up in M-level Striker actually loses ground - not even counting Speed Boost usage that increases with rank overall.

Tell the hell why its doesn't need a buff its weak gun luck annoying shots and 50% of DMG spiltted in 2016/10 and putted in a alteration cost 100k so now to buy a complete railgun you need to spend 200k or just buy uncompelte railgun coz railgun has been spiltted into tow pieces 1:railgun 2:railgun half dmg . railgun cost 96k and railgun half DMG cost 100k ( rail alt 100k ) in total 200k freaking 200k to buy railgun ? This are bull...t !!!!!

I think the lock-on is fine. I personally don't recommend using the salvo mode at long ranges, but it does the job at medium distances even against the more agile opponents. Just needs timing and skill to use.

Sorry I don't speak stupid. If you can't even save up 200k for the Railgun you want, then you're better off not playing the game altogether.

Railgun does not need a buff. It never did.

The lack of Striker use in battles would suggest otherwise...

when will be magnum nerfed? It is mega OP magnum destroys all, railgun dont have any chance against this ****ing turret, i ask developers: you want to ruin this game?

It's already ruined

And the devs don't see your feedback actually they don't even enter the fourm

So if you want to confirm that the devs are seeing your feedback spam and posy it everywhere :)

And rail fun is the worst gun in the game coz the stupid devs nerffed it .

Ummmmm!!!....it just isn't

It is not even close to the worst.

Here is every railgunner complaint I have ever heard. Railgun used to be super OP. It is no longer super OP. Railgun is supposed to be super OP. So make Railgun super OP again. If it is not super OP it is worthless.

Mind you, 99% of all Railgunner's do not gripe about this. Most Railgunners understand their turret is now fairly well balanced against the other choices.

.............and an unbelievably brilliant crystal gathering machine in Polygon CP XpBp battles, if you have reliable clanmates and friends. Without even having to upgrade the turret/Hull, and this guy complains

Railgun doesn't need a buff. However if you want to "buff" your railgun, you can buy the high caliber ammo alteration that goes with buying the m2 rail.

And it would be nice if striker got a buff in impact force.

Railgun m2 alt right ?

Ok ok , I always have to explain to people with slow brain response ,

Old railgun before the sh... Balance in 2016/10 railgun was like the current railgun with the m2 alt which cost 96k ONLY !, but after the balance , 50% of railgun DMG spiltted (spilt, cut) and putted in an alteration cost 100k , so tanki just spiltted 50% of railgun DMG and make it for crystal which cost 100k , so if you want to buy a complete railgun you need to buy railgun m2 which cost 96k and the other DMG half which spiltted into a alteration which cost 100k so all this result 96k + 100k = 200k !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unfair pay2win game dead game boring game nevering improving people hate it no one love it anymore R.I.P TANKI I MISS YOU A LOT :( , my idea is to buff railgun .

Railgun is powerful enough! The alteration also increases reloading. Most players, however agree it is OP.

The alt need to be replaced with the main railgun . do you understand ? Rail needs a buff .

Rail does not need buff. The alteration is supposed to be as good as the normal Railgun, so if you keep posting this, you are basically asking the devs to nerf the alteration.

I see less magnums these days, so my main complaint about balance thus far in my tanki experience is diminishing.

However, I spent some time on the test server over the last few days experimenting with different combos. Alterations become an important part of the game, and isida's alterations... well, they suck. Less range for cone angle and a major damage hit for extra seconds of healing. Both useful in very specific situations, but hardly something I'd want equipped all the time. Whereas fire, twins, railgun, and shaft all have alterations that I would happily leave equipped for 99% of battles. (Thunder also seemed a little lackluster, but I don't use it enough to say for sure.)

It hasn't been a problem thus far as most people my rank don't have alterations purchased. As I move into the last stretch before M3s become extremely common by purchase and are nearly universal by microupgrade, I get the feeling I'll be seeing a lot more alterations, though. And since isida has nothing besides the same type of stat increases that every other gun gets from m2-m3-m4, I'm thinking I'll be buying a name change and letting my isida gather dust for the most part.

Suggestions for alts:

Return self-healing as an alteration. Cap it so that double damage/double power doesn't double self healing, just damage dealt. That was the reason they cited for removing it, wasn't it? Even if I had to trade some % damage and some range for this, I'd like to have it back, at least as an option.

Faster rotation speed. Boring, but rail has it and it's better than what isida has...

Longer range.

Consumption while firing into empty space is removed

Faster energy regeneration (lower damage, lower healing as a result, obviously.)

Faster consumption for increased healing and damage (Like the fire alt that uses tanks faster, but heats more)

I know this won't get accepted. I also know that this update will not effect me in any way because I already have m3.5 freeze and will never consider to buy m3 firebird.

But, let me share my reasoning for a lower priced freeze and firebird.

Freeze is the most expensive m3, sitting at 239k while firebird is sitting at 230k.

Neither of them can be used in regular non-PRO maps because all the maps are too long range, too much wide open areas, and too many thunders, magnums, shafts, etc. Both of them are defenseless in all of the maps.

That means I have to spend 5k crystals (did they change the price of pass?) to purchase a PRO battle pass every month if I want to actually use one of these turrets effectively. So, both freeze and firebird are basically "rented' turrets, where you have to continuously spend 5k crystals every month. So, potentially, both of these turrets cost infinite crystals.

That's why I think both of these should at least have a lowered-price, if not a buff. Both of them are not even punishment weapons. Even if you let them get in range, it is hard to die. They both have to use all of their entire gauge to kill one medium tank.

Isida and Hammer are both unincluded because isida has teamamtes it could heal and spawn next to while hammer has decent range.
