Let's Discuss Game Balance

I agree, the vertical aim definitely needs to be adjusted. It now feels like your missiles randomly sail over enemies.

It could be a bug aswell because quite often there are 1 or 2 missiles in the salvo that decide to go totally in the other direction.

And it's not like the vertical aim range is short or something, I can quite easily hit players who are at a much higher vantage point than me... if they're absolutely static lol.

I had one case where the enemy was in clear sight so I locked on- fired- and then all the missiles missed by a wide margain.

All four of them! Unfortunately I have no recording from it as I do with the examples in the GIF so you've to take my word for it.

Oh also let me add something

Even small variations in PING can make you miss

And if you have lags Striker is the worst turret to play with

I know Striker i own a M2 Striker account , i know all the pains a Striker user have to deal with

Viking is slightly wider and slightly longer than hunter.

that was changed in the update where they made all medium hulls have the same health -_- mammoth used to be fatter than titan but now they have the same length and width

I have been playing a bit with Rail and Hunter and wow I love that combo so much. It feels just like xp except a bit slower and your aim doesnt get knocked off

Well that stability to size ratio makes its close to impossible to knock off its aim.

Your post made me think of SLTV times

When Hunter was paired with Rail not Viking  :(

Its a good combo , but after Hull OD i think Viking will be better for Rail { OD wise }

I think the devs or the testers needs brain surgery. They don't realize that magnum is an OP turret because it's short range ability is ridiculous and hunter is an OP hull since its stability to size ratio is also ridiculous, not too mention that there is literally no negatives for it.

Striker could still use that vertical aiming buff, Vulcan could use a little bit of a shorter delay before firing.

Viking, ever since the rebalance update of October 2016, has lost an immense amount of weight it once had which made super stable in the past. And that stability was what made Viking different from all the others, decent in battles, and unique. Now, my Viking m2.4 is collecting rust while my m2.1 hunter is being well oiled.

And dictator used to be characterized by its hp as a medium hull. Now it doesn't have that upper hand anymore. Now it's main advantage is to shoot over any teammates that's not using dictator, and it's ability to rock, and it's stability. It's disadvantages are that it's easy to hit, it feels weirder than hunter, and it's Damn slow.

I went the Hunter rout with my alt and so far am pretty happy with it.

Vulcan - still don't understand why they changed it so much.  Just needed a tweak for the overheat.

It's fine when you play pro-battles and can choose your map - like Serpuhov.

But get placed in a map with lots of cover through match-maker and it can get ugly.  I just exit certain maps when I want to play Vulcan.

I assume that this isn't due to balance, but rather due to technical reasons, so probably they didn't want to rewrite the script part or develop a new mechanic for the fire/vulcan afterburn -> tweaking some parameter is done with less time effort. I think it was said that the Firebird change affected Vulcan was unintentional.

So basically laziness.

Change the turret drastically so it affects many players, instead of investing the time to do it right.

Keeping the coding tied to firebird still leaves it open to more issues in the future.  LAZY.

I just have to get out or lose one life to go to the garage and change.

If you do it fast enough you can enter the garage before the respawn and you'll be able to change equipment so you won't gain 1 death.

But this is just masking the flaw of matchmaking that you just pointed out. There is no feature to choose maps and there's no (real) feature to change your equipment.

I bet being able to change before the first respawn was an unintentional side effect of equipment changing in the first place.
