Another downside to autocannon smoky is that when activiated with viking overdrive it does much less damage than a normal smoky would

How?  Supposedly auto-cannon is disabled when OD activated, so... it becomes a "normal smoky" with OD.

 

Criticals are still present (1-in-5 at m4) when Viking OD activated?

from what I noticed the fire rate would increase but damage was increased something like 2x and it would increase more if I use alteration high precision aiming system

that's exactly what i'm doing. autocanon with viking OD is trash i switched to using high precision aiming system and its works magic.

im probably never going back to autocanon, unless they give hunter OD a fix by making its effect instant.

But I like the delay. It gives enemies a chance to get away. Because when the OD does happen, it's just easy kill for the hunter.

The delay isn't slow enough to give enemies a chance. At least, that's what I saw. 

 

The reach on that thing is farther than I expected.

I guess the delay is only good for those that are just in the area of effect.

Auto-cannon is disabled when you enable Vikings OD.  It treats it like Stock smoky for the duration.

I play mostly light treads and to light treads, the twins are op. It isn't there damage rate but the fact that if the twins are landing every shot, all you can do is back up, nothing else. Turning you can forget, and trying to drive forward up to them (except sometimes with double speed) is impossible. If you could lower the amount of "kick" this turret is getting that would be great.

The delay is horrible.  1-in-4 attempts to use it end up in fails. 

 

They don't need a chance to get away.  They often kill you as you try to get in range.  And since you need LOS it's even harder.

Viking OD with any ranged turret means Hunter is done.  And any turret like freeze or isida on maps with cover?  Hunter never has a chance since it takes 1 second for a Viking freeze to kill the Hunter.

 

Hunter OD should be instant, and spread out in a circular pulse-like wave just like an EMP would. And friendly tanks should not shield enemies.

It doesn't even disable it, it just stuns the Viking and activates the cooldowns on its supplies. The Overdrive is still active. If you stun it right as it activates it, it still has about 3.5 seconds to kill anything within its range. Luckily, this isn't usually the case. I would stun them well into their Overdrive so by the time they're unstunned, their Overdrive would have ran out or would be less than a second before running out.

It really takes 2 ticks to kill the Hunter if they're in the maximum damage range for Firebird and Freeze. It takes just one to kill an unprotected light hull. With the change incoming, they'll probably take one more tick but 0.25 seconds come fast so that extra time may be negligible.

The Thing about Viking, Hornet and Dictator's Overdrive is that they are able to charge it even when their Overdrive is in use. If that Viking over there gets a sextuple kill, their Overdrive bar is more than half full already. Hunter's Overdrive replenishes while the effect is active and you can kill enemies easier which also adds to the charge. Mammoth gets % charge for the kills it makes while it's immortal. 

 

Hunter has to kill the players it stunned in order to get charge like that but many times, I would be one-shotted out of nowhere as there are still enemy players around that I haven't shocked. The effects of their Overdrive can potentially make up for their relatively slow recharge rate.

Hunter OD is designed mostly for team battles.  It helps the team more than it helps the Hunter. 

 

Hunter might stun an enemy then a team-mate might one-shot kill the sitting duck that no longer has DA.   What score does the Hunter get?

 

I am very disappointed with Hunter OD.  Have it on my alt account at rank of Brigadier.  Have 2 turrets - Freeze and Vulcan.  It is a good match with Freeze.  But since Vulcan wants to keep distance from enemy, the Hunter OD is a terrible match.

Hunter OD does help the Hunter too in situations like disabling  A titan OD but the delay does not help face to face with viking/mammoth OD which is why the delay should be removed
