I am going to get straight to it. Shaft is a really good gun, in the bad way. It affects the game's balance pretty much, in my opinion. It has HUGE damage per shot.

 Altough it has its cons, in maps such as rio, monte carlo or stadium the shafters can easily defeat light hulls (with only 1 shot) and sometimes even paints can't help.

My suggestion is to make a real arcade shot for shaft, a ^ traictory for it so it becomes a little bit harder for them to hit a light hull.

Other parameters that will be changed will be adjusted by you (damage, impact force, etc)

no, i like shaft how it is. It is kinda op in some maps, and very underpowered in others, but all turrets are like that. the main reason people think some turrets are op is cause they generally go in the maps that those turrets are great in. the are so many maps in tanki, though you cant even find HALF of them when you are looking for a battle.

I once saw a Shaft player that made a very good game in PingPong 3vs3.

He was... simply awesome :)

 

As a usual Shaft's victim (flagrunning Wasp) I feel the turret is not overpowered and not underpowered. Some excelent Shaft players out there give me the creeps sometimes (respect !!!!).. but fighting against the vast majority turns out to be pretty balanced.

 

Also shaft is a turret that has a large dependecy on his team.. they have to (should at least) protect him a little. Shafters have an important role, as they can (via psychology) block whole entrances to their own base.

MU m4 for fire was costed around 400 k - only power of weapon.

Now all cost is around 1 mln - so it is noob

 

Fire was more powerfull in past - now it is noob.

Or you can name it - balanced.... so short - noob.

 

Friz do not friz any more - slo- so it is noob.

I use both weapons - got around 33-34 level upgrade, and do lots of hours on it

 realy know this weapon, i do not buy any crystal, and got all garage weapons,

and with out mamut - all tanks m3, and lots of mu on my all equipemnt.

 

All becouse i play quite enought good for take all of it in around 2 years.

with out any money puted inside of this system.

 

Shortly - i got what i got - becouse my analizes work and i am efffective - not buy, but got equipment.

It is real knowlage, and real skils - not buyer noob cheating - puting money extra into system.

I do not see any Vlog about MULTS - saboting players, and special info what they real do about it.

Fire is less powerfull - now afterburn is pumped up.

Viking is too slow.

Hamer is too light, shoting from smokey and rico makes this tank hard to drive.

 

All cost too much, premium got 100% founds from game, and mults sabotete all.

Even MU - last time cost more, you can't chose what you want to MU,

you must buy all.

i do not need to write about all - if you work for tanki - they put on you some ruls, what u need whau u cant do,

i do not need.

 

i like useing twin even if now it is less powerfull than in past, and especial when i got m1 viking + m2 friz

and i was fighting against m3 mamut m3 twin + turbo paints - bought in kits, from 3 yellow stars by buyers...

that was terrible nob balancing game.

My viking is almost 300 hp, and shaft is mu max 280 - according to a wiki tables, and without 2x pwoer many times some shaft users use some cheat and kil me by 1 shot, or other same tanks - i was checking it carefully.

 

Now I got jade paint, and do my job.

 

Smal tanks are smal.

It is not tytan mamut, - so they just die faster. Thats all.

You need to survive shaft assault - buy a paint.

 

Same was in hammer - it is still OP, and tanki what said - NO it is NOT OP, problem was only about this - that we did not give a paint against it, noob taliking - cheating, just focused on sealing as much as possible to users.

Make them buy new weapoin.

1. Its not really discrimination that much if i didnt even know where you came from. If i knew where you were from and i teased you, then i would get banned, but i just though you were so.e kid who didnt bother with grammer :P

Im am serioulsy sorry that i offended you with that.

 

2. I(and everyone else i know) dont use the word "noob" as a general insult or something for things. For me, "noob" means "new player" or someone with no skill(or something similar). Something that is a noob in tanki for me is something that requires no skill at all to use and is grossly overpowered(twins) Adding a laser to shaft(yet raising damage and ability to hold charge at same time) does not make it a "noob" weapon for me. It makes it harder to use effectively, yet a skilled player can top a leaderboard or help a team win a flag capture. A very important role that requires skill. Not anyone can provide that. Im a very versitile player and even i cant quite do that(then again i dont use it often and mine is still m0)

 

3. And now about premium... Yeah, it can mean that your not good enough to play tanki, but not always.... some people just buy premium so they can rank up faster. Remembr how there used to be those exp booster tbings in the garage that you used to be able to buy? Well, now you cant...thats why some people do it. What premium does its basically just boost your crystal income by 50%, so its not like premium is very op...and generally, its the people who cant get crystals fast ebough to do it that get it(or want to rank up faster), so it does kinda balence out a bit. Yeah, what iv said does show how premium users are kinda a bit noobish...but thats their problem. Premium does not really unbalence the game with tbose users. Its the skilled players that you need to watch out for...but you need to watch out for them anyways, so its not really that much of a difference...

 

And the paint....not sure where you got your information from, but im pretty sure that people dont become racist when they put on the premium paint...the paint js really justa tiny perk of buying premium. There are loads of players out there who are racist and...well just jerks anyways, and premium has nothing to do with it.I also doubt many peopl buy premium so they can be "special". They also dont have any more power than any other player(unless they have titan m1 thats full mu while others only have m1 with only like 10% mu :P). So...if you want to see coruption from "buying score"(btw they still need to play the game to get score), you can find players that have only m0 equipment and less than 100 kills and deaths at gismo

 

4. Actually, kits can be anticipated. Last week, i started saveing for Tornado kit, as i had looked for it in the kits list and it was a few ranks ahead of me. I will probebly be able to buy it before it is temporarily retired again. The kits cycle through, so you can find out what kits are comeing way before you either are high enough rank for it or it actually releases. Even if you miss it once, theres a chance that it will come back very soon so you woul atill be able have a chance to buy it or some other kit. I met a player who had never bought an item that was alone...he just bought with kits, and he wasnt a buyer either.

 

4. Freeze & Firebird: Firebird(at least at m0,1 & 2) are not terrible....its afterburning effects can actually be very good, and it is very devestating in close quarter maps or maps with tunnels and groups of tanks. Firebird used to be very op in a 1v1 because oof its damage, but now its slightly more balenced. I do actuaally have a very huge complaint though...the afterburn effect with the lower damage....i have m1 hunter and m1.3 firebird....i was fighting a m0 hornet with m1 firebird...i killed him first, but the afterburd ended up killing me....the difference between those hulls is HUGE! I personelly hate how the afterburn is so long, and i would actually prefer if the damage was higher with afterburd shorter...... Now freeze has always been a bit op with its complete freezeing effect....it had low damage, but if the freeze had a friend, it was extremly hard to kill....but freeze alone was an easy target... it was updated so the freezing was less, which made non-freeze users happy- while the damage went up, which made non-freeze users happy. It made freeze much more versitile since it can now actualy win a normal 1v1 without full health. Yes, that made it so specific combos became inaffective(mammy/freeze) but it opened up many more options for other freeze players.

 

5. You asked why i said how you talked like a noob... Its cause of your constant use of the word "noob", the unessasary abreiviations of words, lack of punctuation, and just terrible grammer. Plese dont be offended though. Im just explaining what i meant in my previous post. Iv seen way too many natural english speakers who write senteces that can barely be read or understood, and multiple people have spammed my pm's with bad grammer too, so i get pretty irritated whenever i see someone with poor english grammer. Im not evn just talking about tanki too. Sometimes ill see random spam from people in my e-mail. Not even avertisement either. I mean eituer just plain spamming or attempts to communicate about something. Then thers some other game where ill see somebody abreiviating almost every word...they even abreiviated 2 or 3 letter words....

Shaft tactical is completly destroyed therew this laser, it is completly stuid.

First rule of sniper is to be undetected. Shaft is completly against this.

So it destroy completly this weapon. OFcourse you can still got results on shaft.

BUt all shaft - sniping cannon idea is completly miss.

 

The same like in frizz weapon, all was about freezing enemies, not only kil.

Like isyda, can repair friendly tanks.

Thats both tactical weapons - with out kiling enemies.

 

Same was on shaft, special functionm power was less important.

Like isyda - faster lower heal - heal friendly unit.

 

This - balancing moves destroyed this weapons.

Fire now mostly die vs most of weapons, you have to have very very good skils to survive meeting,

and protective paint, if not you die, and enemy sometimes will blow on afterburn, but most of time,

they have enough time to find metd kit, and visit other isyda, or friz to make fire burning down.

 

Fire users got much much less experience points becouse of it.

If you will be kiled 3-4 times, and all your did damage repaired, you look like mult.

Thats not fun...

 

Fire and friz are totaly destroyed becouse of thsi moves...

And the high tom of it is Vulcan - most of users of it use anty fire paints.

So you are on friz and fire mostly - cuted with your weapon 20-50% of power down,

and than you got like m2 vs m3 or m4 vulcan.

 

Specification of this weapon - makes fire and friz users half of income.

Not other weapon users, just this 2.

WHY only this 2?

 

This is unfair, and unbalanced for users of fire and friz.

especialy on DM, many times u need to change weapon, becouse there is too much zeus paitners,

and you all the tiem got m2 vs them all. it is vary unfair fight, according to your needs of close combat effectivity.

Your are dead before you got to a ttarget, or you got not enough tiem to kil  becosue of paint,

and even if they can die becouse of after burn effect - someon - on last part - just take your frag.

 

Cutting power of fire, and pump up after burn effect have a very big effect on this weapon.

In this game, the successfull players will sooner or later use tactics, that you can find in real life tactics in a simmilar way (except for everything that involves sacrifice and respawn of course).

 

 

They will hide and move hidden. They will use cover. They will try to come close without giving away their position. The clever ones will not shot useless, in order to do not attract the enemies focus. some move in the open - but because they want to distract the enemy from a flanked attack of their teammembers.

(and some simply drug their way through it and have no need for tactics.. (although there are skilled and clever druggers there as well))

 

 

 

Each combo here is more successfull if the propper set of tactics is used by it's user. Other combos, other tactics.

 

 

A Twins-Viking can "steamroll" into the enemy base, and weaken everyone. A Wasp-Rail needs to use tactics that will remid you of real life Guerilia Tactics in order to help it's team. A Vulcan-Mammuth will not go for an Attack on Serpuchov.. it will provide long range supressive Fire.

-> And a Shaft.. well of _course_ this turret is most successfull if used with sniper like tactics. The turret was designed for that.

 

 

 

If only some parameters are changed, thats more/less ok for players.

But the real ****storm starts, if the characteristic of a turret, it's tactics needed, it's main useage are changed (like Shaft, like Freeze).

Replace the word "tactics" with "gameplay" if you like..

 

Players do hate that, and they have a valid point to stand up against it. It is simply about the fact, that Tanki altered the gameplay that suits this weapon, while those players have played so much and so long to earn the crystals to get it. It feels like stealing time from players.

 

It takes time to get along with it (a lot of skilled shaft players have managed to do so).

Or the turret is useless to the gameplay you liked (like there is no clever freeze play any more, it is just about devestation now).

Yeah, this game has alot to do with tatics. I wouldnt have a k/d of 1.31 if i never used tatics at all.

 

btw, nice comparison to arcade games :) My favorite one is Galaga

Well, without my comparison my point is even if this game were about spinning cows avoiding an upside down pineapple, there would still be a tactic you have to pick up as you go along.

Only the most feeble-minded still charge at a Vulcan from the front, and actively seek out a Shaft's laser.
