I agree with you, Firebirds are way over powered. They now kill from greater distance in a matter of seconds. On top of that I drive Twins and my self damage goes into effect as they ram my tank I die just getting close to a firebird

Firebirds are rather bad, but the alteration is OP and your Twins handling need to be adjusted now.

Wait until you get to legend, then the game is over for you.  As you plan during the next months/years to build a decent set of turrets, tanki will change it and then the legends that have been around for 4 years will crush you and you will come to understand that the game is for them, not the rest of us.  The latest change to twins now means that in close battles I do as much damage to myself as the other guy, now making it a worthless turret.  And heaven forbid you get pushed up by one of your own tanks and self destruct, which is a bigger problem now as they try to stop hackers.  Also note that now you can only find big maps, which wastes time driving around and not earning crystals, unlike before when you could create a game to complete a mission.  Its more and more about the dollars, so waste them well tankers. :D

Shaft. I have never ever seen more than 2 shafts in a Polygon DM or CP game.

 

Until today. 4-5 shafts in every game. Lasers everywhere. Medium hulls blowing up left and right.

 

With it's latest buff, guess what? Shaft is now the king of the turrets.

 

This will probably only last long enough for lots of players to invest heavy crystals into shaft. Then the inevitable nerf comes. Sigh.

Shaft has been super strong for a long time. Mounted on titan it's just a nightmare to play against. Railgun is right up there as well in it's ability to one shot medium hulls.

Congratulations Tanki, you ruined the game now with this changes in the Hammer and Twins. I would like to send a new idea to you. Why don't you put the splash in the Firebird and Freeze too? Or better, put the system of ricochet on the Railguns, the game would be better :D. I'm not play this game while this changes exist, after five years playing it, you  discouraged me to continue.

Either most of the players have not yet realised that my Twins harms me.. or they are afraid to come close.

Just a few make use of my disadvantage and close up to make me deal selfdamage.

 

In the meanwhile I learned to make use of splash damage on my enemies :P

I can not cap the point so often, but I can clean up the point area quite efficiently now :P :P :P

Here is a Idea For rail gun (since Twins now can self damage)

 

If 3 tanks are hit (in a row) The first tank takes 100% damage the Second tank takes 50% damage and 3rd tank takes 25% damage (and so forth and so forth)

 

This will make Rail Balanced Again

 

 

Who Likes This Idea???

Isida -

      I think they should add AUTO HEAL back into isida because now there is no point in me using or other tank players using it anymore.The reason is because now it is no better and cannot almost always beat firebird or freeze, because of that i might stop thinking about buying m1 for isida maybe m1 for firebird instead.

Hammer - 

      For hammer i actually think the balance change is good making it have the bounce on the pellets it shoots therefore more people will be buying hammer.

I disagree about Rail being overpowered. Throughout the years it has always been the most neutral and balanced weapon, and there's no reason to assume this has changed. Even if it is overpowered, nerfing its penetration like that is not the way to go.

Sadly, this is EXACTLY the type of change Tanki has been making lately.

 

-Removing Isida self heal

-numerous changes to Smoky's critical

-ditto for Firebird's afterburn

-ditto for Freeze's freezing

-ditto for Vulcan's gyro and overheat

I seriously doubt that Railgun's penetrating power will be removed, or else Tanki will have the biggest riot in the history of MMO games. The issue with doing something so radical is that it would make Tanki lose thousands of paying customers (Everyone say hi to the massive clan community) and they would have thousands upon thousands of player demanding their money back, filing lawsuits, etc, and all because, as you said, Railgun is the only turret that has remained relatively untouched through out the years. Not to mention that almost everyone these days has an M3 Railgun or at least M2... At your rank anyways.

It looks like this is your main account. Well, that's exactly how your Rail M0 works anyways ;)

Most players reach M3 accounts, before they manage to line up targets intentionally.

Shaft - 

You will probably find Isida most useful in Pro-Battles with supplies disabled. Will be the only way to get healed (with the few possible drop-boxes if that is enabled).

It feels to me like smoky has had a slight buff, anyone else notice?

 

I'm split between micro-upgrading smoky or getting firebird with alteration. Firebird is insanely powerful right now and it could help against the legend ranks.

Have not noticed any increase in power. They nerfed the re-load again by a bit, but that is offset by my MUs.

 

Depends what maps and role you like more.  If you prefer close-up and smaller maps go Firebird + alteration.

The addition of all these splash damage weapons is changing the game. Once Artillery goes in ... Tanki might as well just remove Wasp and Hornet from the game.

 

This needs to ch changed immediately: THERE IS NO VISUAL INDICATOR TO WARN THE VICTIM! If there is an audio warning I do not know. For household reasons I often have to play with the sound off. While you are focused on the battle situation in a couple seconds w/o knowing it you've gone from 100% health to 30%.

 

Meanwhile they nerf what most players called the weakest turret in the game, Isida. I was just in a game where spashers wiped me out while atop bridges while I was under it, or when I was behind a building etc.  But I have to close to close range to fight back and thanks to the new tiny aiming arc even then even slight lag or terrain irregularity wil make hitting hard/impossible.

 

But hey! Let's add spash damage to Twins!

 

My confidence that Tanki is operating off a sound plan is nil. Confidence they are just running with whatever ideas come to them first is sky0high.

The mark of well-prepared real-life artillery ... pre-marking the ranges/settings for the battlefield before the fighting begins!  :D

but honestly.. if you specialize on 3 positions, and from each one you can shoot (the same) 5 destinations, the piece of paper looks simple as that:

My position A, Targets from left to right:     75°, 80°, 72°, 75°, 74°

My position B, Targets from left to right:     (some other 5 numbers)

My position B, Targets from left to right:     (again 5 numbers)

 

then you drive in position, and bombard every hidingplace one after another - with "the biggest explosion you've ever seen" © Hazel

So I guess the numeric indicators will be a short lived feature ;)

I can't believe all the features they add to some turrets while at the same time removing features from others. Both Rico and twins have fast fire and considerable recoil so they added splash to both.  

 

Ran into 4 different Rico players today that did nothing but run DA/DD and drive around killing everything ... now one of them could turn his turret so I don't begrudge that player. But the other three never turned it once. When players don't even have to learn how to use their turret isn't that a sign something is amiss?

 

Didn't make a count... but there's no shortage of twins players that never turn their turret either. And as for the noob bricks ... I've not seen those go away either. And thee's no way for me to tell if the attacking Twins has splash damage going or the Alteration that removes it.

 

Meanwhile the y take away self-healing from the turret most players say was already the weakest. If you buy an alteration for Isida you make it even weaker.

 

But the alterations for firebird double its lethality if not more. My Viking was exposed to 1 seconf yestereday ... one second and that and the afterburn took it down 75%. Seventy-Five Percent for 1 second exposure.

 

But if I buy the m2 alteration for my Vulcan my DPS goes DOWN by 25%.

 

There's no rhyme or reason to what Tanki's doing. It's getting very demoralizing.

Rico and turret rotation I need to explain. I have M4 Rico Viking. I turn my turret. Many people don't because the turret rotation is flawed - very slow start followed by rapid turning acceleration - very hard to control. You either can't match the maneuver of your enemy or end up overcompensating. Now that Viking is a freaking paper airplane, it is often more reliable to turn my hull. Of course overdoing hull rotation with Viking is a problem too.

 

I do still laugh a bit when I see a Rico Hornet though.

Thanks for the insight on the Rico turret. Been a long time since I fiddled with it.
