I thought XT's were a thing which is not just for buyers, put with premium accounts, they are. :(

Well, buyers and players with Premium accounts are pretty much the same thing. However, if you are a buyer and you want XT, but don't want premium, you can always buy crystals and spend them on changing missions in order to get XT.

Gen players have lost faith in Tanki for the Premium Accounts update in which premium accounts can buy XT. My friend (will not post his name for privacy) spent 400k literally for XT and hes now raging.

That's his own fault, even if XT wasn't available for purchase, after wasting 100k he should have just stopped

Developers did inform us that XT versions of all equipment will be added eventually. It's just a matter of time before Ricochet XT and the rest of the XTs are released.

I might buy hammer XT, but that depends on future updates, i've been very cautious on the current situation on the game, i don't want to take risks when we could lose it all when unity comes out

You can buy it for 500 000 crystals each item if you have a Premium Account and the required rank (Brigadier for Thunder XT, General for Railgun, etc.).

XT items already lost their value, big time.

So why not put them on a discount, because this is the direction we're heading.

I'll skip the XT's when I see them on my daily missions list, hah.

XT's don't give any advantages, therefore it's completely fair. Maybe slightly stupid, but fair nonetheless. I seriously couldn't care less that a person I'm playing against has a shiny turret, as long as I can beat him fair and square, I'll be happy.

 If you invest money in the game, then you deserve some special treatment. XT's are rare and would make someone stand out in the crowd which is something buyers want to do.

 it's obvious that you need skills to get one of them, as you need to complete one of the very rare Super Daily Missions, so XTs are meant to be for professional players, to stand out the crowd. It's a way of telling everyone "Hey, look at me, I worked hard and deserved this".

But, premium players, can purchase such equipment without having to complete any mission. OK, now what's the point of working for weeks, maybe even months on completing an extremely hard mission, if some people can get the same prize with little to no effort. You can't buy skills, can you?

It's not quite like that. XT items were originally added to the game as an experiment, to see how unique looks integrate with the system and collect feedback from players. I'm not sure if this is true, but I heard that apparently the only reason XT were added to missions was to see how much crystals players would be willing to spend on mission changing, so that this data could later be used to set the prices for XT items in the shop. So XTs being in missions was just a nice gesture from the developers allowing non-paying players to acquire exclusive items for free.

 

Also, I disagree that the fact that you got XTs from missions shows "skill" and hard work. All you have to do is get lucky and then play normally until you eventually get it. It would be a whole other story if XTs were rewarded for feats that require actual skill, like winning a tournament. If that was the case, then buying XTs would definitely seem absurd. But that's not the case so I thinks XTs being for sale is completely fine, especially since that was their original purpose - exquisite custom looks to stand out and show off how rich and special you are.

Agreed that reaching the rank of gissmo is itself a challenge and an achievement, but I feel that we should be able to get super missions for XT's Marshall onwards. This is because I feel that every one of those last 4 ranks are unique and challenging to achieve (Marshall, field marshall, commander and ofc gissmo) I feel that XT missions should be available Marshall onwards since after Marshall its way too late to MU a stock M3 like thunder, hornet or Viking and they will get thrashed by their standard MU'ed M3 counterparts. I feel it is fair enough to let buyers buy XT's if they want to spend and not wait for super mission but XT's should also not be available to buyers before Marshall. Also the MU system for XT's should be slightly easier ( as in it should have fewer steps than standard M3 or it should be cheaper than standard M3 MU's) so that a person with an XT can more easily match his/her (XT)equipment to MU'ed standard M3's of other players in a battle. Though the final fully MU'ed equipment of XT or standard should be same.

Wow, when you think about the worth of some hulls that just makes you look better, but same parameters, kinda fades some wishes away. If I ever get to Generalissimo, I might as well ignore the XT hulls and guns! And if I somehow get the hull or gun, I would say, "Oh, well. At least I have a rare XT."
