XT equipment, they're great.

 

No discount sales, no alterations, the same step upgrades as the regular equipment and more then double the price of the regular version.

 

But they look great and that's about it.

thats why u have a vulcan xt? or was that a super mission reward

In my opinion, the best looking XT's are Viking and Wasp, i don't really like the turrets. If you are planing to upgrade XT M4, i suggest vulcan, thunder, because everything else is crap with no alts. And all the hulls M4 are good, if u like them ofc.

You can't even Microupgrade them. The only thing that makes them special are the looks.

You can MU them should you wish, but they do not receive MU sales. At least that is what I have understood, I dont have any XTs of my own to confirm

M2 Hornet Rail XT were in the game during 2014 New Year's.

Hornet looks the best of the hulls. Firebird looks the best of the turrets. For being the most used Railgun looks kinda boring they coulda given it a cooller design and WAY more gold detailing.

Just bought my first XT - Viking. Full price MUs really stink, but hey, it’s a status symbol, so I’ll do it. I’m only at about 3/20 right now, so I have to be careful which battles I equip XT in.

 

Not sure what is going on with the conversion to Skins, but maybe designers are caught in a bind with how to reserve enough tank real estate for

-M1, M2, M3 gray armor plating

-paint

-XT white/gold plating

 

Right now, my M3 armor and XT design doesn’t leave a lot of room for visually complex paints.

 

Also a lot of paints really clash with or obfuscate the XT designs. You’re almost better off wearing a basic paint so that the XT markings are clearly visible. RIP overpriced paints.

My stock Viking is already M4, so the sooner the better. I’ll be MUing the XT version sparingly and probably won’t MU past 10/20.

 

Edit - my other prediction is that XT Skins will be Shop-only.

It's unlikely skins will be implemented any time soon. The first time Hazel mentioned this idea was at least a year ago, and it seems the devs have much higher priorities right now.

If there is time, and I earn enough crystals, I might get Thunder XT. My first priority is completing my M4 garage though.

 

XT feels like one of many ‘abandoned’ ideas from the devs which taken together with Alterations and Hull Overdrives really make this game feel disjointed sometimes.

Absolutely - the Battle button and now the strange play a random battle lobby buttons.... but of course most players still use the list. So strange.

 

IDK about the clan system. I get the impression I’ve earned myself a persona non-grata status amongst players, so no clan for me.

 

HTML5 I get. They need to move very carefully with that, perhaps even more carefully than they have. If anything is going to bring Tanki Online to its knees, a botched platform upgrade will.

Me too. Of course, we’ll hear the “XT is not a priority at this time” from official channels, but IMO XT requires minimal effort compared to other game updates. It’s artwork, guys. C’mon.

 

Twins XT would be a hit item. I’m confounded by why this is not in the game.
