Hmm... I was wondering that what if someone used a paint on the xt combo..... what does it look like ?

There will be less paint visible. Look at the pictures on the first page - all the areas with green on them are the bits where the paint is visible. Imagine your paint of choice in place of the green and you get what the paint looks like with XT equipment.

The missions with XT equipment as a reward are only for Generalissimos if that's what you're asking. :p

Other XT products are useless, most gismos will already have these equipment and would have already spent hundreds of thousands of crystals MUing them. All tanki are trying to do is to introduce new equipement to MU so people buy more. If you enter any normal gismo battle without MU then you'll be eaten. If i get any XT mission on my main other than rail/hornet/wasp (for xp) then im changing it

Only if your Hornet M3 has been micro upgraded, but your Hornet XT was not. You can upgrade armour in Hornet XT to be exactly the same as in Hornet M3.

 

Without MUs Hornet M3 and XT are identical, except for the design.
