I built it myself, and I am happy with the amount I spent and the components I received.

Could you build a PC with the same specs for less money? Probably. But you would use cheaper, less reliable components sourced from less reputable websites/shops. If that's what you choose to do, then that's not my problem. Personally, I do things properly.

Yes buying from Scan is like, totally not as good as buying from Amazon. Also, they are same components.

I had compared prices at the time of purchase, and Amazon were pretty competitive all round. Even if I did spend a bit more by buying all components on Amazon, it was worthwhile to get delivery completely free, and to get all components delivered in a single shipment.

Or you know, you can just do click and collect with scan, where you can just order online and pop into a store to pick them up.

I knew there would be at least one a-- who would say this. Most of us here earned the money to buy the gaming computers, we didn't sit around complaining that others have rich parents who buy them stuff - we got up and did it ourselves.

Exactly, my PC can run any game at 1080p at ultra settings, I made it myself in 500$... Looked around for parts on sale. It took me months to save up and even literally earn some of the money, despite being young - i made it with what i earned, and so did the others who posted here :)

Do whatever you want mate, I got my parts from Amazon. I'm not sure what your point is, other than to contradict me.

Intel core i3 @ 2.6 Ghz

4 GB RAM

Intel HD graphics (1 GB)

If only I had known that I could've gotten a way better PC by building it instead of spending it on an all-in-one which costed $600. Ugh.. When I was a total noob regarding computers. -_-

Indeed it is, but you could've gone for a better GPU. The 970 is mostly used with i5's.

My PC is for edting videos as I wrote, no need a better GPU because my CPU need to be also extremly powerfull.

If you bought a PC just for editing, then this GPU wasn't a good choice! The 900 series and 700 series are gaming GPU's, NVIDIA's "Quadro" series makes GPU's for editing and rendering... You should've looked into those.
