But you can only count what Premium adds to figure out if it is worth it or not - the others you would have earned regardless of Premium.

Let me point out some more logic:

 

10 months of Premium costs $100. IF you come in first or second every time and play a few hours per day you MIGHT earn 300,000 crystals extra over that time on top of what you normally earn.

 

OR

 

You could just buy $100 worth of crystals + Double Bonus card = 716,000 crystals the moment you pay for it (and you still earn the same crystals in battles over the same time period) - 5,000x10 (cost of 50% SMP) = net of 666,000 crystals.

 

Which makes more sense?

 

When you think about the economics of Premium it certainly doesn't pay to use it.

You're right. The second option seems better.... But of course this depends on rank, battle type, equipment,whether mults/saboteurs are involved in battles and how much you drug.

 

But why buy a SMP 50% more? You already rank fast with the 50% Bonus.

I don't think it really matters much - it's a choice of having those bonus crystals right now, today, versus waiting months and months and months to get them.

 

Also the earnings at low ranks are pitiful - for those players buying crystals outright makes even more sense.

 

Also keep in mind that for $10 you can get 38,000 crystals with a 2x card so in reality someone paying for Premium will need to exceed that bonus amount for it to be a better deal.

 

When you reach high ranks it takes as much as 145,000 XP to rank - 50% SMP means you have to earn 108,750, and, with 100% SMP means you have to score 72,500. It's a big difference in time and effort.

 

I never considered the SMP until the Daily Missions came out - by using one it allows me to grind through them quicker, and, the earnings in crystals each month from the Daily Missions more than paid for the 15,000 cost.

 

Lucky for me my 100% SMP will expire after I reach Gismo.

And perhaps such a large XP Score contribute to the reason buyers drug heavily in battles. <_< Fast kill, fast XP.

Premium account is probably a rip off from what I gather, methink.

Trust me - the game is more fun at the lower ranks.

 

I don't drug much because I already have the crystals I need for my next upgrade - also earning 72,500 XP is quite boring - it's the equivalent of ranking to Colonel with no SMP. That's about when the game starts getting really tedious, battles are fewer, and due to rank grouping you no longer can play against lower ranked opponents - it's also when fully drugged MU M3+ start becoming enemies in the game.

 

The cost of 10 months of Premium = the same as just buying $100 in crystals today. But when buying right away you will get more crystals, and, no pressure to earn them in the game.

 

That's why it is a bad deal.

 

If you're going to spend money on this game just buy the crystals outright when you get a 2x bonus card, then, just wait for a sale.

If you actually bother to count up the rewards and compare them to the fund, you will find that the 100 bonus crystals are not taken from the fund, therefore you don't actually get less when you don't have premium and somebody else in the battle does.

let me get something straight .

Tanki Online is not only an online game , but a company which comprises more than what you expect .and as a company , their main objective or more emphasise is given to its income and it's customers , if you know what I mean . When they have alot of players , the will also release more opportunity for its income . So get that straight . Secondly , if you hate premium account, I suggest you look forward to formatted battles where premium accounts won't be at hold.

Well, I have been playing tanki less and less recently and i think this will be the last straw. Premium accounts are very overpowered and it makes battles unfair to thos who want a free game. Tanki is basically begging for money now and i really dont see the point is doing much complaining. neither do i suggest that anyone else wastes their time complaining about this feature. this is because no matter how much we complain, or show our distaste for some of the new updates, the developers still release it. i was going through the comments when premium accounts were first talked about, both on the v-log and in the tanki forum. about 85% of the comments were against the premium account system, and yet, here it is. i also think this is why they removed the downvote button, because they knew that this update would be unpopular. since the developers will not remove this feature, then at least make an option in battle creation where you can restrict access to people with premium accounts. these battles will be fairer and more balancec. DO NOT PUT THIS IN PRO BATTLES. Pro battles are a waste of 5000 crystals just to avoid people who waste real money on this game. just put the option to restrict premium accounts in the normal batlle creation options. Is that too hard? Some part of me says it is, but i will be hopeful, as i have been for the last year or so, since the new physics came out, just waiting for Tanki to get better.

Yes, that status can be hidden. The only thing to give it away under hidden status is if the exclusive paint is being used.

Probably. I thought when that paint is in use, the user would be targeted first by the opposing team. Something of a prejudice.
