We avoid them at all costs, so the developers drunkenly farted out the option to mask the feature.

 

Logic.

Premium players want non-buyers.

Non-Buyers avoid premium players.

Developers allow premiums to "hide".

Premium gets to play with non-buyers.

Developers economy sustained.

when you play as a normal tank (not premiun) do you earn cristal in battles?

Yes, like you normally would.

But premium account users would gain extra crystals.

Why is there a crown symbol next to the name of a player in the final score card after the end of a battle?? When I hover my mouse over  a screen tip showing "Bonus" appears.

 

Is this related to the premium accounts in someway or is it a way to denote the "best player" or "MVP" for a particular battle??

nope. fund is shared according to scores but premiums get 50% more than they would have. next time think before asking.

yes ur right fund is shared according to scores you know what premium users get 50% for fund  in the battle if blue team all are premium and red is non premium and red team mean blue team will get more fund you understand that

I can only see a very few handful of people who actually have got a Premium Account. If this stays the same, then this update has basically been a waste of time from the developers.

I like how it gives you a paint that has 15% protection against all turrets but I don't really like how you have to buy the premium account and now players that don't have the premium account don't get any crystals in the game.

This is not correct: you just get no BONUS (the new final column). If you didn't get your REWARD (2nd column from right), something went wrong and you should inquire about getting restitution.

It is an inappropriate use of development time if only a small minority of players (5% or less) spend $10 a month for it. To be worthwhile, you would need at least 1000 players to use it consistently. Otherwise, you spent more on it then you're getting back. I was not one of the folks who got it free, and then said "oh, gee, I'm missing out on this 50% bonus." Mainly because I already spent my cash becoming a Generalissimo (big kid on the block), and that's all they get. Sorry. :)

Grey crown means you missed out on a bonus, because although you have one of the other services (double score, pro pass), you have not paid for Premium.

Wrong. The crystals are still divided the same way from the Battle Fund, which you see in the Rewards. Then the premium players get a 50% bonus, like the 2x and 3x days, which is in the Rewards column. Really, you should be able to see that happening.

...which is exactly what you get when you have to spend $75 (an actual estimate) to fully upgrade a turret and hull by buying crystals. You can get 700,000 for $100 on a 2x sale. If they sell M3 turrets for a flat rate, they will lose money.

The Popularity of something increases with time. 'TO' wasn't this popular when it started but now! Crores of people are into it. It applies here too. Most of the tankers don't know what is a 'PA' and it's benefits So We can't just judge the update in a day. With time, people will get to know about 'Premium accounts' and it will gain popularity. Today, it might be just '1%' but it will be much more in near future.
