Changes to micro-upgrades

I hope you're a major buyer, because that simplicity now comes at a staggering cost in crystals--a forced, not chosen, cost.

Of course, you're obviously a troll, but whatever.

See this is the crap I get for liking things...

Alright, I hate it with every cell in my body.

I HATE IT! RAAAH!

This update was generous in it's implementation - it amounts to a big giveaway to anyone who MUed any parameter maximally, and I made out well in this regard.

Nevertheless I don't like the update.

One of the core principals of TO is that you can individuate yourself and come up with your own style and equipment to match.  This update is in direct contravention to that.

You never know what people might want to MU, and for which reason.  It's a shame to take that away.

Don't like it. Completely lost is the tactical decision to upgrade certain parameters to match the style of play. Now each 'micro' (more like milli) upgrade costs too much, and I'm forced to pay for upgrade of parameters that are not so important to me. I'm an MU person, but with this change I'll be MU-ing at most twice. BIG thumbs down. :(

TERRIBLE idea. I want to be able to decide which parameters to upgrade. E.g., for a turret I prefer damage and rotation speed, followed by impact, and so I spend on MUs weighted in this order. Now it's just too darn EXPENSIVE, and I'll be upgrading parameters that I wouldn't have upgraded otherwise! NO GOOD!

CHANGE THE FREAKING PRICE FOR UPGRADING IT COST ABOUT 1 MILLION CRYSTALS TO MAKE M4 .....

ARE YOU KIDDING YOU KNOW HOW MUCH TIME IT TAKES TO COLLECT 1 MILLION.

If only...

Tankers like you refused to spend the extra cash.

If only...

Buyers refused to pay again because they feel like being slapped in the face.

If only...

Both of the above left... it would turn this matter into a snowball effect, prices would rise (we've got to pay the bills). More players will leave. Those who stay face fewer and more unbalanced battles. Lose interest and leave too.

If only...

Hmmm.....

Users hollering and demanding for the old separate MU parameters.... Something the majority wants....

Premium users is something the Devs want....

It would be a shrewd move if they allowed separate MU parameters to Premium users only.....

They would lose all the non-buyers.....

Rip-off after rip-off after rip-off... Tanki shows some pretty stable milking policy. Who's to blame? Us, stupid, weak players, that don't quit Tanki for a month or so. All of us. And see what happen... -_-

Then it means Tanki IS a drug....

Your post was crap. I told you why the 'thinking' in it was nonsense. You want to give some good reasoning, that'd be different.

My reason for liking it: It has nothing to do with premium.

And it helps newer players understand the  game. Also, I like this better, now I don't have to upgrade each one individually. I can just upgrade them all at a set price.

Think about it psychologically: Before the update "Gah, now I have to upgrade THAT!?"

After: "Okay, only a few more crystals before I can upgrade."

Alternate universe, huh?

Reality can be so illusive.

Notice I said soft skills.  The deployment went off without too much trouble too.

The value of this moving forward is another thing entirely, but for once they did not NEUTER the players in the process of changing things, and is the win.  Face it, they'll do things we don't like, and if you had bothered to read my other posts, like to Cap Canuck, you'll see the lay of the land in terms of opinions on the change moving forward is a different landscape entirely.  Now, that said, even Cap admited the marginal 10% increase to max out stats was a small increase, call it inflation, WHATEVER.  The real issue here is that MU's are bundled and this ruins a player ability to customize quickly to stats that fit their play style.  Tanki is watching I'm sure, this goes to the grain of gameplay, and THAT IS important, and it's one of the few varibles players cn control about their equipment that is unique to them.

Of all the changes implemented in Tanki, I think this will be one that will eventually rolled back, it is simply too alluring for players that want specialized equipment.  Just keep harping on it, and I think you'll see staff, FOR ONCE, consider rolling a change back.  NOW, careful what yo uwish for, I KNOW I'M RIGHT when I say they did this because of the turret discounting they implemented not long ago.  This forces players to spend more on MU's all around, rather than focus on getting strong discounts in a few areas, ranking to that level, and then buying the new turret at big discount and not persue other upgrades they are less interested in.  If they roll this back, expect to see the discounts either get reduced or removed all together.  I'm guesing the 10% increase also covers the cost of giving away the baseline next level turret/hull upon maxing out a turret's/hull's MUs too.
