[Issue 46] Contest: Design a Contest

Up till now, the Reporters have always determined the contests.

Today, I'm turning the tables. This is your chance to try out contest design.

The task is to come up with a workable contest idea and then design a page for it, complete with an introduction, rules, and "prizes."

Entries will be judged on the originality of the contest idea and the effectiveness of the presentation. The very best will be featured in an upcoming issue of the paper.

The Rules

-The contest must be doable within the bounds of the Tanki Forum. (E.G. a singing competition would be very difficult to accomplish.)

-Plagiarism of past Newspaper contests is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification.

-The reservation of posts is prohibited.

-One entry per individual.

-All entries must be placed within spoilers.*.

Prizes

1st: 35,000 crystals, and if it's deemed good enough, will be featured in an upcoming issue of the paper.

2nd: 25,000 crystals,and if it's deemed good enough, will be featured in an upcoming issue of the paper.

3rd: 15,000 crystals

Tips:

Though you cannot reuse past contests conducted for the newspaper, you can look to them for formatting help. A link to the newspaper archive can be found here.
Make sure that the rules and premise of your contest are clearly stated.
Less is more. Your contest page will be more attractive if it's spacious and not jam-packed full of an annoying font choice.
It is your responsibility to confirm that your contest is unique. Be sure to do a thorough keyword search of the archives before you start writing.

Do you have ever, ever wanted that dream rank? That awesome rank with that extravagant delineation that you have fallen in love with?

So tankers, here is what you need to do:

Think of a rank. Keep thinking, till you find your fervor, your jazz...

Then,

Grab a paper, pick up a pen and begin to dream... Oh look! Its a pie in the sky...

...start to draw, here it is, in my first try!

And post it here.

- The Rules -

1. All entries must be drawn on paper.

2. They ranks must be following the color profile of Ranks. That is, they must be drawn with the following colors:

Yellow, Red, Blue, Orange and White.*

3. After you have drawn your picture of your rank, you need to take a photo of it, upload it to an image hosting website and then post it here. The better the quality of the photo, the greater are your chances of winning.

4. Your post must include the following information: (It must be in the format below)

i) Your ranks name.

ii) Your ranks number; where it would fit in between the other ranks.

iii) Experience to earn your rank.

iv) Crystal reward for your rank.

5. Your drawing must include your nickname, the name of this contest and the ranks name. This will be in any corner of your paper.

6. Reserving posts will get you disqualified.

7. Only one entry per entrant.

8. Plagiarism of other entries is prohibited and will result in disqualification

Freshly made issue of Newspapers is here to supply our dear readers with the whole bunch of interesting Tanki related articles. But as usual, there is something extra. A contest icing on top of the newspaper cake that will satisfy your crystal whims.

As you probably know, supplies are almost inseparable part of Tanki Online. They are subject of many discussions and while some tankers praise their usefulness others would love to put them six feet under.

One thing is certain. The knowledge of specific supply drop locations will come in handy right now!

Spoilers down below hide three pictures of random supply drops. These supply drops can either be Speed boosts, Repair kits, Double armours or Double damage boxes. Your assignment is quite easy. Simply put, you have to successfully guess what type of supply the pictures show. Of course, the drops are camouflaged and to uncover them you will firstly have to know the maps they come from.

First three tankers to uncover the drop identities will be rewarded with a juicy prize of 20 000 crystals.

Contest will be opened on 1st of February, 17:00 UTC +0.

Rules:

Your entry must contain answers to all three pictures or it won´t be considered.
All three answers must be correct to win the prize!
If you think you made a mistake, you can re-enter, only your last entry will be considered.

How Skilled Are You?

Hello, my readers, and contest lovers and entrants! Today, I will test your skills in Tanki in every way possible - XP/BPs, normal battles, gold boxing, even supply usage and takeovers!

So, first, shall we show the rewards?

The first place player will receive a massive 50,000 crystals.

Second place player will receive 30,000 crystals.

Third place player will receive 20,000 crystals.

The consolidation reward is 10,000 crystals each.

Nice, tempting rewards enough? Interested in the contest? So here's what you have to do:

Create a video no longer than 5 minutes, that displays skill in Tanki in any way possible, including supply usage or parkour. And post it here. Simple enough? Maybe, maybe not. And here's the rules:

Rules:

1. You must not plagarize anyone else's video.

2. The video must be yours - exception applies if in your country YouTube is blocked, when you can ask someone else to make the video for you, OR you can't do a video.

3. You must do the video in fullscreen, and nothing can be cropped or removed.

4. Player names must be visible.

5. No reserving AT ALL! Anyone who does so will be disqualified.

Oh, and did I mention that if rule 2 exception applies, both the videomaker and all the players will be rewarded?

Now I'll leave the work to you players. Display amazing skills, and win massive amounts of crystals! Results will be posted next issue. Good luck!

As you can see it is just a design of the contest! I wanted to display the concept, if it was ever to be held the maps and supplies to uncover would be harder to guess.

The task is to make an alt and rank up it to WO1 and show us your garage and we will choose the strongest alt without buying with any payment method.

Rules:

You must not buy premium or buy crystals with any payment method.
You must take the screenshot of your new alt and of course its rank which is recruit before playing on it.
The account must be yours and you can't share it with anyone else to play on it and complete the contest faster etc...

Contest: Cross-Country Mayhem.

What You have to do:

Take a screenshot of a funny incident on chat where neither of the chatters know what the other is saying but still manage to get their work done. The best entry will be judged on originality, humor, length of the conversation, and quality.
