As a responsible father, the decision to allow private chat has left me with no option. I have now banned both my sons from Tanki.

 

There is no way I will allow my sons to be exposed to some of the stuff I have seen as a moderator, there are other games with no moderation and my sons are also banned from these.

 

It is not OK to say that porn is everywhere and swearing is a fact of life. We  should still do what we can to protect them.

totally agree as a mom / parent  we need to put a stop to company's who encourage private chat rooms..how do we know who is on the other side we don't..

 

also i have seen in the past when i could not find a mod who at the time was of age to shut porn sites down in tanki and Yele can confirm this ..there is way too much scary things happening in the real world that kids feel safe / sort of when they play in tanki and  I as a parent   I  will no longer allow my son to play ..until tanki removes this stupid idea they have planned for this game..

 

IT did not work in the past why.. WHY ????  bring it back

Why exactly you chosen to ban them, instead of turning their chats off via settings? This doesn't seem like they will turn chat back on as they are complain about your own occasional vile words.

I mean, it's not as if his sons go to the chat to look out for violators. They might be having (online) friends, and they could turn the chat on to talk to them - perhaps if they're desperately missing their buddies.

Ok, but what exactly protection from chat bullies and offenders got to do with communication with friends? As if you can't communicate with them elsewhere while still playing the game.

If they talk to friends, their chat is on. If their chat is on, some bully can Private Chat with them.

No they can't.

 

First of all, as I've said, you can play the game and talk to your friends in some other chat. Facebook for instance. The game's chat will still be turned off. Secondly, there is going to be an option to limit PM only to friends list. I really doubt that someone will add bully as a friend. Really doubt that.

 

So yeah, what's up with banning? Doesn't seem to be a best solution.

James is talking to  Tom ----- he has Kevin in chat talking would James be able to see Kevin's chat and if so what if Kevin insults James but he  thought he was in private chat with Tom what then...
