anyway, why do the Chinese tanki guys get to make profile pictures but we dont???

 

At least make it so you are able to have a profile picture after you make around 1000 forum posts or something ok.

and as you can see, the pictures are smaller than the mod avatar sizes, so players can't put a mods avatar in it and pretend to be a mod cause its smaller ok.

 

I believe in Chinese forum you need 50 posts to be able to have a profile picture ok.

Umm, well..., the profiles/avatars are only meant for mods/admins/devs staff members for obvious reason. Let's say we were able to give ourselves our own profile pic, I, along with many others would give myself that forum admin avatar, which is misleading. If you're saying that goes with the rule of impersonating a staff member, well then there are more reason

I think personalized signatures would be awesome too, being able to customize your posts is something that these forums lack, that most other forums utilize well without problem.

Thing is, that isn't even a problem at all with forums that have avatars. Even if folks were to try and make their account look like a moderators, it would be easy enough to see that it's not real, and he would probably get banned before very long anyways.

Suggested and declined multiple times. The community managers have decided a long time ago that profile pictures will never be customisable to make the forum look cleaner and to avoid giving moderators more info to monitor. Same reason why status updates are disabled for players. The Chinese game has different community managers and they make independent decisions and make their own rules. If they have something we don't, it doesn't mean that we must have it too.
