Why do you talk to each other during battle? 

Saying things like "hhh" or "wow!" or "hello" "Sup?" etc are fine.

 

But, some of you take it a tad bit too far. Here is a fine example:

 

Player1: Heeeeeeeeeey!

Player2: Yoooooooooo!

Player1: How are you, man? 

Player2: I'm good thanks, you? 

Player1: I'm good too! Haven't seen you in a while! How was your week?

Me: BOTH OF YOU, OUT, NOW.

Player1: No you get out 

Player2: Oh I've had better weeks, but it wasn't too bad!

Player1: Ah bro, what happened?

Me: *reports*

... and we lost the battle because these two continued to talk and not play properly.

 

This is not the first time I've experienced this and it won't be the last time either by a long shot.

 

But please, if you meet your friend in a battle and feel like you want to talk to him/ her then GET OUT OF THE BATTLE AND DO IT IN THE LOBBY.

All seriousness aside, your point is a valid one. It's pretty common to see people typing something along the lines of "stop typing and play" in team chat, and for good reason too. The only real solution to this problem would be in-game voice chat, which would be a bit clunky and wouldn't fully solve the problem. So yeah, I guess a forum rant is your best shot.

That's just two guys chatting. I was unlucky to be part of a team that was a majority of girls and all they did was chat through the entire battle.

Hichigo if you are annoyed about this then fine but worry about yourself I mean really people can talk all they want in battles and the lobby if they talk too much then its ok they will get less cry while you get more but really people can talk all they want and no one can say anything about it really if you are annoyed then fine but I dont think its fair to make this rant for people who like to talk really its not just EN people, other servers have people like this too so I don't see why people should say things like this really but I don't think its fair either

i see it all the time in Russian servers but it don't bug me because i can't understand it.

Yes, I would love it if battle chat was used for only quick greetings and battle related discussion, for example 'give flag' 'take flag' 'incoming' etc. Sadly, the people who need to read this never will, they use the battle chat as their own personal forum, to the detriment of their team.

If there are people chatting in the chat, just let them have fun. They're not multing as far as I know, and the first goal of someone playing a game is to have fun-while you have fun playing seriously, they have fun chatting with each other while playing too.

How can you have fun if you are learning about how someones week was bad while losing a battle?

wow u say your ok with players talking but when your in a battle with 6 vs 6 then its bad ,, give me a break..chat has been going on for so long and it don't matter what game your in they all do it ..if you want a no chat game then go to pro battles with your friends and tell them no chatting wail in game and see if this works for u cause ..really in other games and tanki will tell u there is nothing anyone can do about it ..no one can tell other player what to do..all we can do is suggest ideas to help improve or solve issues .. good luck

winning or losing doesn't matter every time

well ..there is nothing u can do about it ..i know it bothers players i get it all the time ..yesterday i was told to change hulls and also leave the game did i no cause there is nothing anyone can do about other players if you don;t like what is going on then its your call to stay or leave the battle and try another battle not all battles will have players chatting ..

Just a game, its meant to be social, if you want just to play go to the Russian servers where there are lots of nolifers in battles.

This problem is german servers too, but you can also youse a microphone to talk via skype or teamspeak, then you can play and talk and once.

Only "point" in CP battles and nothing more. When all team mates go away from the point for a GB, and the fund is good.

 

There is one more annoying thing in the battle chat and it is:

Seriously friend, I cannot upvote you enough on this. People sit like bumps on the proverbial logs, doing nothing to contribute, and they ruin the game for everyone.

 

What I find amusing is that, when you or I or anytanki else complains about this, someone always screeches "IT'TH JUTHT A GAME!" Exactly. It's a game, and it's meant to be played. You don't spend five minutes setting up a game of Monopoly, stand over it blabbing with the other players for hours, then put the board back. That's insanity.

 

Another humorous detail is the fact that most of the players who scream that it's just a game are the ones who often scream about mults, and sales, and other unpleasant things as if this game is all that matters in life.

not all players ..i talk once in a blue moon and yea that moon better be blue cause i try not to talk in general..regardless how or what i do

 

..its my right and others to have freedom of speech regardless  if we agree or disagree ..this is life and you will get it in the normal world that is part of the demographics .of society . and like i have said if you don't like to see the chat then why not hit ignore on those players names ..but remember to open chat in the end but that's totally up to u...
