valid Veteran Paints For Non E-sport players

Hi Guys!

I have been playing this game for some duration now, and know a few things...
You may all be aware of Veteran Paint, as it is awarded to only those few tankers who have been a part of e-sports teams (Starladders).

The suggestion from my side is that, these paints should also be awarded to players who haven't been a part of any pro clan. The game is by the players, for the players we all know that. Without us spending hours and hours of our lives in playing it, the game wouldn't have even existed.

As a nice gesture, Tanki devs. can do a simple thing by awarding players who have played this game for a long time or having more than 5000000 total XP points, The veteran paint. It is not something that is impossible or hard to do or that would change the balance of the game. For now you only receive an achievement in your ratings for unlocking the 5000000 XP mark.

This way you will get a special paint too and feel more rewarded by being the part of the game for such a long time.

It's a good idea, but I disagree with the 5 million threshold. If you look at the list on leprotanki.zhuka.ru you'll see that hundreds of players already surpassed the 5 million point. And those are just the ones that registered on that website - there are plenty more in the game. I'd say if the Veteran paint is given out for XP, then the most sensible limit would be 10 million. Remember that the Veteran paint has 20% protection from all turrets, so those with only 5M experience don't really deserve it and it would lose its value if it were to be given out to hundreds of players.

I would take off the XP line, because as far as every1 knows. You can easy get a lot of experience points by playing w/f + premium or just powerleveling. So I would say that, players who are in game for more than 4 years and have reached Generalissimo rank, would be selected to get Veteran paint, but paint would be given to active game players. How tanki could check, if they are active? Send e-mail as same as does for nickname registration to the linked e-mail address.

Do you really think, that Devs or whoever gives out Veteran paint, has time to check players weekly ratings? 

I'm sure they have some tools that would let them filter the ratings list to select all players with 10M+ XP, who have been playing for over 5 years and are also active. And that method would definitely be faster than sending emails and processing replies.

It shouldn't be an XP limit but a time limit. In my opinion 5 years minimum of playing. By that time if your an active user you would Generalissimo, it would be the minimum rank.

 

XP is quite easy to gain and with Premium? Even easier.

 

I also think it should loose some protection points, otherwise battles will be quite boring if most people have the paint.

What other factors you want Tanki Devs. To look at before handing out the veteran paint? I think Total XP one can be considered as one important factor.... 5000000 XP is not easily achieved. However, your suggestions are welcome. :)

I like this idea... But it should be really hard to get it, maybe finishing specified number of achievements or playing specified amount of time.

Good idea. I agree with Maf here tho. I know 5M is hard but it is way too easy. I mean come on, you can do it in one-two years or less.

5000000 plus a number of achievement (definitely a tough number) can be considered as one criteria. Clean karma and stuff i don't think should be taken into account as the players who already have the veteran paints.. Have got banned from chat recently. Chat karma is good up till choosing chat mods and stuffs.

22% against m3's and m4's is not that good a number, We all know that. It would only be an added award to the players who have stood by Tanki-Online all the way through. Giving them a lil advantage (of 22% protection from all turret and mine) is just as awarding that player for loyalty towards the game.

First of all, only skilled players enjoy the game. 50000000 xp isn't like you can get it without grinding yourself. Earning certain amount of experience isn't the point here. That's just a suggestion which maybe considered as an option to judge the eligibility of a player for the veteran paint. What if someone doesn't wana join any clan or can't join any clan because of time zones....he/she will never get the paint according to current eligibility criteria for veteran paint.

If anyone can win it just by earning a certain amount of experience points, the paint will immediately lose it's value.

Well, maybe a player needs to meet a whole bunch of requirements before they can qualify for the paint?

Such as:

• Register in 2010 or earlier
• Never leave the game for more than 3 months
• Have a K/D ratio higher than a certain value
• Have over 10 million experience
• ... and maybe something else too

I think that if someone has been so dedicated to the game that they fulfill all of the requirements, they deserve to get the paint, since doing all that might actually be at least as difficult as getting Veteran via eSports. After all, a "veteran" is someone who spent a long time at war, so old active players with a lot of experience do fall under that description.
