Training Format

Hello

I think the tanki need to do Training Format.

What is it training format?

training format its format that players can do 1-1 vs the computer.

In The training format the players can choose the level: easy, medium or hard.

In The Training Format the players can to choose if they want XP/BP.

If the Player will win the first match he will play vs better player if he win in 3 match he will get a Crystals.

In the eazy level the player will get less Crystals from the medium and hard.

Thanks: CraZzy.Boss

I think it's easier to just set up a training with other players, because I think it's pretty hard to make a computerplayer that can play against players.

Maybe not everything.  But, there are those common moves that most players make that can be programmed.

Plus, it could be a way for players to figure out their weapons/hull configurations or how to best deal with other weapons/hull configurations.

BTW back in the olden days of video games the opponent was the computer.

I'm assuming hard mode is like human skill level right? If so, everyone would be playing hard mode and leave easy n medium to dust.  Also, this should be a pro battle format only.

Actually, I could see using the easy and medium modes for FAMFIRE (Familiarization Fire) exercises.  Some of us use certain turret/hull combinations because we are wickedly familiar with their operation.  The downside is that the player has become accustomed to playing particular battle modes.  However, if a player were to use the training grounds, they could become more familiar with other combinations and open the floor to playing other battle modes.

For example, this account of mine is a Smoky/Hunter combo.  I have become quite good a using it in the longer CTF battlefields.  However, place this combo in a short DM battlefield and my little tank is toast against some of the faster reloading short range weapons.

That would be great but it would ruin the purpose of playing in battle and will be hard to program

I don't think it would be that difficult to program... The basic platform is already there.  The next step would be the perceived AI... I mean really.  Type in www.tankionline.com and you are greeted with a pseudo training game teaser.  So, what is to prevent a much larger version?

A few days ago, I was thinking about people who want to train on a certain turret. Why not make a Training Map? Maybe it is always Private and can invite people to it? With a max range of 12 players? It can also have a tutorial to show you what to do next each time you play it. No EXP or Crystals would be gained. Think that is just any normal Parkour Mode battle? No, think again. I have something to make it special. Make some tanks appear when you join and the training depends on the turret you have equipped at the time you joined. So if you had Railgun equipped, a Railgun training would load when you join the map. Also, as I said earlier, there must be a tutorial to guide you through the training. A Box that is on top of the screen telling you what to do and like the Tutorial Map that you may join before you get an account, maybe Green Arrows to tell you where to go. In the box, instructions would appear. If the player didn't follow the instructions or went through a wrong way, he would have a sign going in the screen for him that tells "Wrong Way!" and has a countdown under it that will make him start from the beginning of the training again. The countdown can be 20 seconds. Ideas can be added and also deleted. I hope Tanki Developers would work on something like this for new players or people who want to practice a gun.

NOTE: The players who are in the map might be able to get M3s of the weapon they are training at if they meet the rank but don't have the M3 form of the weapon yet. Or just like a Test Drive with a small chance to get M3 of a weapon they don't have.

You guys all know how long it takes to save up crystals in this game right? An hour of playing in full game battles, ending up at the top of the leader board gives you what...5k crystals? Well, I have an idea where there will be offline challenges people can do to make more crystals! Say for shaft, you have to kill x amount of AI tanks to win the challenge and move onto the next. Maybe the first mission could be a tutorial giving tips on how to use your turret. You won't be able to do any mission, you'll have to have purchased the Shaft to do challenges for the shaft. You'll be rewarded crystals and if you complete all, say 50 challenges for the Shaft M0, you'll be rewarded the Shaft M1 to use for offline challenges and online battles with other players. Since AI's are usually stupid, (XD) it will make gaining crystal easy for those less skilled players. There could also be an option to increase or decrease the AI skill. The harder, the more crystals you get. I think this is a swell idea, but would of course take a long time to make. But, the biggest thing about it would be if a tanker doesn't have an internet connection, they can do the OFFLINE battles!

Not really worth it, Firstly it will take a lof of effort to create such a feature and IMO its Useless, if you want to increase your skills, you need to practice practice practice and practice. Playing 1 v 1 with Computer is too Basic (there is something like this in the tutorial).

Not Worth the efforts.

It is really easy to sit all high and mighty from your high ranking account to state practice practice practice.  The problem is one's investment of time.  Some people do not have the time to sit down and go through a 15 minutes of battle or some players may open a battle to fit their daily missions and players may not show.  There is a multitude of reason why a trainer would be a good option.

To relate it to real life.  I may be looking to buy a new hand gun.  I can go to the local gun store and buy one only to find that it doesn't perform quite to my liking or expectation.  Now what?  I am stuck with a gun that I don't like.  Whereas there are several gun ranges that offer a try it before you buy it option.

So, what would be really great is a try it before you buy it option in the garage.  That is not at the chagrin of both the player buying the weapon and other players who would seek to destroy or may become destroyed by this new player.  So, this may be where a training system may come in quite handy.

As for the computer coding...  well that's what I do for both a living and a hobby.  I know from experience that it would not take too much to develop a construct that could handle this option.  The basic overlay already exists in the "Teaser Demo" that is on the home page.  Furthermore, back in the day of video gaming.  The "enemy" was often a computer driven NPC.  The only reason why MMOs are so popular is because of the unpredictability of other player characters.  But, if a player is using the trainer for FAMFIRE (Familiarization Fire) then this would have its weight in gold.  Maybe even a battlefield with an associated charge to it like the ProPass would suffice.

So, so very worth the efforts.  Just food for thought.

Not Possible. There are millions of possibilites an AI could possibly drive and shoot in simple maps such as Duel or Sandbox. AI's could also not make intelligent moves as what a player would do in a specific situation. In simple games, AIs could work, but in such a complex game with infinite possibilities, an AI would fall to the player.

Trtaining format does not have to be based on a smart AL tank.

For example, you want to train about hitting way distant targets going, like flag carriers, and all you need to get for improving your aiming skills is a fast tank moving on the map from one side to the other side, from some random paths...

Or running skills, and you need is several tanks shooting you from many places.

Maybe we can use inlimited heal tanks and get shot from smoky or ricochet or whatever... shoots and try to hit him with railgun or some other weapon, shooting under fire..

I can say many training formats without smart tanks for Shaft. I can say that for some basics on Railgun.. Some important parts for CTF as you see, basics for every weapon..

We can cover many without strategic smart AL tanks..

So what you are saying is that the world's armed forces and police forces train in live situations all the time...  Really think of how silly your comment is.  Static and dynamic targets would be good for the players to practice moving and shooting.  All the while keeping rounds on target.  Furthermore, AI doesn't have to focus on the complex.  I am more than certain that in the course of a player's battlefield experience that 80% of the movements are basic level and 20% are the more complex.

Hello,

I was wondering if it would be possible to do a Shooting range map. One that you could go to to test your equipment, kinda like a carnival arcade where you have moving targets and perhaps a shooting range where you can test your accuracy similar to a gun range.
