this is an intense week for tanki well you see everyone is a member for quite a while and i am going to worlds of fun on saturday 16 and i will be gone at oceans of fun and worlds of fun for the whole day so that is not fair to me.but i will have a good time and i bet you will to. :) :D :blush:

Well please let me ask you a couple of questions:

 

1. 1000's of people complain about lag. I have probably lost over 500K battle fund due to server crashes and lag. The lag has been going on since before Christmas.

What?! Dude, I've got the slowest Internet in the world and I didn't suffer any extraordinary lag till the paints update.

2. Cheaters are a big part of the game. I ran into a cheater today and I usually run into at least 1 everyday. I am talking about today a guy with no smoky paint (the number beside his name) I hit him dead center 8-10 times, then dead center 4 or 5 more with double damage with m4 smoky. He did not have an isida. He killed me. That is not possible.

The last time I saw a hacker was over two years ago. He must have used a repair kit or something. In any case, infinite health hack was patched up ages ago and there hasn't been a single case since.

3. Multing is everywhere, in fact one of the leaders of a major arab clan said publically "no mults no win."

Agreed. But devs can hardly do anything about it. We just need more mods .

If these guys are taking all these suggestions to Cedric, then Cedric is doing NOTHING right?

Um.. He's putting them in proper format and presenting them to devs?

 

If the devs have time to split the paints, and have contests, and create paints for the football matches, then they have time to fix the problems listed above. Do you disagree?

Yes, I disagree. I really don't expect devs to type in a few lines of code and presto! All the mults and hackers gone! Do you?

Hello,

        I normally go and play in polygon maps but when i try to enter a game , my flash crashes and i need to do my first reload... after joining the battle i cannot kil someone nor take boxes( though my ping and fps work proper) and therefore another reload. Finally after playing for 10-12 mins the battle crashes and tells me to reenter the game and therefore three reloads to play 1 15 min game..

PLz look at this problem coz i never encountered such problem before this monday :angry:

Totally time wasting in tanki.


Lag never takes me to end of the battle.


 


One side you have useless servers which always lags.


On the other side you show us attitude that we don't give refund.


WTH is that.


 


Start giving refund or shut the game off. :ph34r:

If tanki has time to have contests, change the paints, go to someone's city, and all these other nonsense items they have time to fix the lag and stop the cheaters. I am a programmer and I know what it takes. Cedric is managing this thing into the ground.

You might be a programmer, but that doesn't mean you know what happens in the CMs chair. My job is to keep the community happy and engaged. I have absolutely nothing to do with programming. Also, organizing events does not take away from programming time. Programmers write code, while community managers engage the community. I'm hoping you're aware of that fact at least.

you have that simple job and still your performance is so poor. you can't even reply to news and announcement section.

what about kits ??

will they remain as they are ??

Community Manager is not to be mistaken with Programmers. And fixing lag is extremely difficult. And the programmers are really divided into several teams-12 team fixing lag, another working on updates and another working on bugs and blah blah blah.....so all the time lag is realy getting attention ;) .

Tanki game is since a week more frustrating then ever.
-Many time Goldboxes fall and i can't take them while 100% mine. When killed someone else takes it in my place.
-Change of paints does not always work. I change but nothing happens. Then I change again. Meaning I have to destruct myself.
-Then lags after lags...

The double temporary reward is good, but means nothing while all the time you're frustrated cause of game problems.

Do not know why the hell i still play this game, programmed like in the year 1980....
Please just make if well again or shut this game forever.

Tankers!

 

It’s time to shed some light on yesterday’s extended server downtime, what caused it, how it affected the game and its users, and what we intend to do about it.

 

The sequence of events

 

How our valiant programmers faced overwhelming odds to defeat «Tankopocalypse» (stress makes you terribly creative)

 

In a nutshell, here’s what happened:

 

  • In 2012, a «dormant» bug popped up inside the server code. However, the chances of it actually surfacing were extremely minimal.

  • Over the next few years, with every reboot, this bug was trying to surface, until…

  • On Monday morning, July 11th, 2016, the bug finally made its appearance and became a really big problem.

  • All users who tried to join RU1 and RU2 between 02:00 UTC and 05:00 UTC were affected.

  • With every user it affected, the bug grew stronger, virtually «eating up» Pro Battle Passes, Premium Time and Double Crystal Cards on every cluster it touched (it didn’t grow any teeth though… that would’ve been disturbing).

  • At 05:00 UTC, programmers shut down the servers and set out on a quest to locate the virtual lair of this nasty bug, codenamed «Tankopocalypse».

  • After a marathon 13 hours of work, our programmers managed to corner the bug and crush it into oblivion

 

So, what now?

 

  1. Our programmers should have already returned any Pro Battle Passes, Premium Time, Double Crystal Cards, or anything else that went missing as a result of the bug. But if you find you’re still missing something from your account, please contact customer support on help@tankionline.com.

  2. If you come across a glitch, error or bug (that does not involve what is mentioned in the previous point), please report it in the official Problems and Solutions thread here.

 

Aaaand?

 

We appreciate how frustrating the whole event must have been for you. And we’re really thankful for the overwhelming support you showed us in the forums and social media.

 

So, we’d like to make it up to you with the following:

 

  • From today till Sunday 17th July, all users will be receiving a Double Crystal Card… every day. (Note: You can only have one DCC at any one time).

  • From Thursday 14th July till Sunday 17th July, all users will receive an additional day of Premium Account Time every day.

  • From 14:00 UTC on Friday 15th July, till 02:00 on Sunday 17th July, we’ll be having 36 hours of Double Battle Funds.

 

Additionally, we’ll be collecting feedback from all affected users, as well as monitoring the situation closely, to make 100% sure everything has gone back to normal.

 

Now, a bit of a bitter pill. Unfortunately, we are unable to recover broken mission chains. We’re genuinely sorry to disappoint you on this matter, but we’ve explored all possibilities, and there really is no way for us to restore the original progress.

 

Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience and frustration caused by this situation, and we thank you for your patience and support. We truly appreciate it.

 

 

That's what happened when a bug messes up with the server, 13 hours of downtime? That's awfully long. I hope that event would never happen again.
