Let's Discuss Protection Modules

What I'd like to see is

 

Single modules up to 50%

 

Double modules up to 45%

 

Triple modules up to 40%

 

Quadruple modules up to 35%

 

The way things are set now everyone will end up with 50% protection from all turrets, which makes the game linear rather than organic, the modules updates was a bad one from the start

Single modules with higher protection than triple or quadruple modules like that will not help in 1v1 battles. Moreover, those with a bunch of money can own all the many modules, from single to quadruple, while non buyers will be working with one or two quadruple modules.

It was certainly the worst received. Since December 2014, (when I started playing) I have never seen the player community go so berserk both in game chat and on the forums as they did with the paint protection separation. We even knew it was coming, unlike other updates...

 

We also know that devs are laser focused on HTML5 and matchmaking, meaning the current protection system is here for awhile. But - it's one of the ugliest aspects of the game right now, so count on it changing at some point. The best thing we can do it continue offering suggestions on the News forum and in I&S.

Well you can choose who to 1v1 against and set rules for the battle, if both tanks are not equally strong then the battle shouldn't take place to in the first place, the problem is with battles you have no control over where buyers and druggers ruin the game

 

My issue is not with buyers having all modules fully MUed, it's with the triple modules that all go to 50%, they will slow down the progress of the players because everyone will be harder to kill and it makes the concept of protection modules dull when all of them work the same way compared to the old modules with different protection max percentages

Hmm...why?

The current system is dull, all protections work the same, with the old system players had to make thoughtful decisions on which module to buy and equip in battle

 

The other issue was the fact that paints which became practically useless after the update remaind very costly, 500k for a paint that does nothing except for infliating stupid people's egos for owning them, that's a typical tanki scam, I haven't bought a single paint since the update (except for like the blue paint haha)

 

And I think it made kits more expensive, although I am not sure about this one since I don't know exactly how they compare to before the update

True it marked the shift of how tanki was doing, it was the 1st bad update in the long list of other bad updates that we've seen over the past 2 years, before that people liked how tanki ran, it also exactly marks the begining of tanki losing players

I always used to play xp/bp, capturing points in polygon and, capture flags in small map which is pro pass battle. Sometimes, I complete my missions. But now, I have less crystals. Tell me which kit will I get easily.

You already have rail hornet m2, so that covers big maps.

 

You could buy fire - hunter kit, or titan - twins kit or twins - viking kit.

 

Even isida is not bad in small maps now, but you can just buy it in sale, no need to buy kit for it.

They have tried to simplify the system and it has actually worked a bit.

Well, as long as they have no impact on gameplay being expenisve does no harm to us...

 

And I think it made kits more expensive

 

I've checked the prices and the difference in quite significant.  They've increased the discounts for kits but many of them still cost 50k more nowadays because of the paint and the modules that got more expensive. However, the new modules are a lot better than the old ones so I think it evens out. I'm glad I've got my kit long before these updates...and affected by a sale as well...

What do you mean by "get easily"?  Do you mean what kits are the most affordable at your rank?  Or do you mean what kits are OP good and rake in the crystals in battles?

A guy with colonel rank when have 48% protection ,then something wrong with the game.

 

I demand removing old module.or make them 35% at max upgrade because those have 4 protection,Its not fair to the other players.

Only very few of the modules with 4 protections can be considered better than the modules available now. For example Prodigi LGC is considerably weaker than Griffon T-A (Shaft, Thunder, Rail)

don't you think 48% protection from railgun in colonel rank is overpowered ?

I think it is, but removing those modules isn't a solution. There are people that bought some kits a very long time ago and now have extremely OP equipment at a relatevely low rank, but luckily there aren't many players in this situation.

the player only makes about 2 to 3k xp per week, so thats just 1 game per day, you happened to be unlucky enough to be playing in that same game against him.

 

They will rank up soon, don't worry.

True. It's the Colonels with the M4 equipment that are the ones to worry about...

Hi, I'd like to know which are the parameters to consider a module combination, I mean: why isn't there a magnum-railgun-smoky one? But it do exists magnum-striker-twins. (Please add the first)

 

Another question: if I have a magnum turret and I buy magnun protection module, then the chances of selfdestroy decrease? the same for twins? Thanks :)

Yes, you get less damage.

There should be modules with every possible combination. Mine would be magnum-smoky-railgun. How is a module combination chosen?

and create a chart of the most used protection modules[ a detailed report is what i want ]. :)

Why not just make a poll? If there are too many modules, then just group them by type (e.g. Grizzly, Badger, Griffon, etc).
