Can any one wade through thousands of active accounts

and create a chart of the most used protection modules[ a detailed report is what i want ]. :)

It depends on the turrets people most often take. The few most popular turrets are Railgun Smoky Hammer, I'd say. However it depends on the maps. Usually people chose their turrets that their gunna play with depending on how big the map it is. 

 

So what I would do, is to buy 2-3 modules with a range of turrets and that should do!

I don't know why they did the whole stupid "naming" thing for protections.  Why didn't they just let you pick three options, mix it, and call it by the abbreviations.  For example, if you had Thunder, Isida and Rail protection at 25% that would be a TIR-2.  See?  Easy!

 

Don't agree?  Quick - which protection package has Thunder, Isida, Rail?  Yeah.  Go waste your time looking it up.  That entire long list of stupid protection names could be replaced with a single frame that looks like a slot machine.  (Cherry-Lemon-Bar  ... you lose!)

 

Better yet, if you have Grizzly M2... what the hell IS that?  I mean, do you know without looking it up?  Of course you don't.  What about a Dolphin M2?  Pick out the ones that are NOT Tanki protection modules:

5. Cockroach

Just one more example of Tanki wasting time on irrelevancies while the bugs continue to live on.

Indeed, I agree with blutakix, therefore I repeat my question: How are module combinationes selected?? Why there are not all combinations? 

 

Let us pick 1 combination every 5 levels or so.

For me it is map dependent. Winter-LGC on maps that favor Shafts. Before I've been using Savannah-LGC a lot as a default. But with the new RK nerf, I am leaning towards using Badger T-E since Fire and Isida are quick killers once they get in range.

Well, they have universal protections, meaning a combination of close range, short range, mid range, long range turrets.

I would recommend you to wait a little bit and unlock better protection modules for yourself.

Single modules are useless. Save up for Triple instead and gradually upgrade that. Although unfortunately at the moment there isn't any module that protects from both Magnum and Railgun, so you will have to choose. It's still better than any single module.

Single modules would be better from [rank#1] to [rank#10]

 

At your rank however, you should thinking about triple modules if you think you still need protection.
