Let's Discuss Protection Modules

Is there any module with shaft, railgun and magnum together? I can not find it, or there isnt such a thing.

Sadly, no triple module currently protects against that set of weapons.  Some modules that kinda do (we're talking Griffon T-F, T-G, and T-H) only protect from Shaft, Magnum, and another turret except Railgun.

I need a protection module for Polygon CP, the pro battle Polygon CP

Which turrets do you find most popular or annoying in Poly CP at your rank? At my rank for example Lion T-B (Fire, Twins, Rico) is the best (and the most popular module) since there are many Ricos

If you want to get a protection for polygon cp, the fire/twins/freeze will be very good, although isida also helps

I added hammer instead of Isida.

Isida is powerful close range, but spends a good amount of energy healing. So it is not as fearful in CP as it might be in DM (where no healing involved)

Fire twins hammer

or fire twins freeze for no supplies polygon / island.

With heavy hull, go for fire twins freeze.

With medium hull, go for fire twins hammer.

With light hull, do your team a favour and get out of the small map.

I see a lot of people wanting change, people have proposed many ideas in Ideas and Suggestions about it, many times. I'm gonna list some of them for discussion. Feel free to repost your idea.

In my view the current system has many flaws, these are the things I don't like about the current system:

- Dozens of modules makes it hard to decide which to buy.

- Even if there are many to choose from there are still missing protection combinations.

- Once you own more than a handful it is hard to manage them in your garage and it takes time when changing equipment. (this one I'm guessing, because I own only a few).

- Many people buy and Micro Upgrade modules for the most commonly used turrets on most situations, making those turrets less effective in all situations.

- Because there are too many triple modules today, devs have made fewer modules that include protections for newer turrets like Magnum (7) and Striker (9). (compare those to Fire (12), Shaft (14) and Freeze (15) )

Here are some of the ideas people are suggesting in Ideas and Suggestions:

1. Triple Protection with Single Modules (KillerAssassin3's idea)

- Triple protection with 3 Single Modules (3 module slots, 1 for each module)

- Up to 50% protection for each module

- You can setup your protection anyway you want

- You'll be able to buy 1 module for each turret and 1 for mines.

- You'll be able to chose 3 of the 14 modules, 1 for each slot.

- That'll be your protection.

2. Quadruple Protection with Single Modules (my idea)

- Quadruple protection with 4 Single Modules (4 module slots, 1 for each module)

- Up to 40% protection for each module.

- You can setup your protection any way you want.

- You'll be able to buy 1 module for each turret and 1 for mines.

- You'll be able to chose 4 of the 14 modules, 1 for each slot.

- That'll be your protection.

- Even if you change only 1 module of the 4 available, you'll have to wait 5 minutes to make another change to your protection.

3. Custom Modules for Current System (various)

- You can choose what protections your module will have when buying it. Probably for an extra cost.

- Same system as today.

- You'll be able to buy 1 module for each turret and 1 for mines.

- You'll be able to chose 3 of the 14 modules to put it in each of the 3 slots.

I have a strong feeling the answer to this would be "too OP", the point of the list of modules is that sometimes you have to make do with imperfect modules.

They should be more affordable to free players, to start. Also, single, double and triple modules should have the same added protection percentages.

Like how M0 triples do 10% against three turrets. That's 30% in total.

M0 doubles should then have 15% for both protections, and 15 times 2 is 30.

M0 singles should then do 30% protection against the protection chosen.

I mean...10%...against ONE turret for 1,000 cry is it?

Then for M1s

M1 triples to 15% per turret, adding up to 45% in total.

M1 doubles would then to 22.5% per both turrets.

M1 singles 45%

For M2s

M2 Triples do 20% per turret, so 60% in total.

M2 doubles then should to 30%

M2 singles do 60% then

This will then go on, so if you hate one specific turret, you can get a single module M4 against that xD

I have a strong feeling the answer to this would be "too OP", the point of the list of modules is that sometimes you have to make do with imperfect modules.

That is a very good point, but there should at least be some balance in that imperfection.

For example, Magnum protection is included in only 7 Triple Protections, while Freeze is in 15, and because of that if you want a protection that includes Freeze you'll most like find the protections you are looking for than if you want a protection that includes Magnum.

But of course, making more protections with more combinations will increase the number of protections, which is another problem. That's why I think the system needs to change.

They should be more affordable to free players, to start. Also, single, double and triple modules should have the same added protection percentages.

Like how M0 triples do 10% against three turrets. That's 30% in total.

This will then go on, so if you hate one specific turret, you can get a single module M4 against that xD

And M3:

Triple = 25 + 25 + 25 = 75 :)

Double = 37.5 + 37.5 = 75 :)

Single = 75%  :o

I'd like that to join Fire Wasp battles, just use a single protection against Fire... that will teach them.

am i the only one who couldn't understand the ideas?

I did some clarifications.

The modules system was broken from the start...

It should have sold single, double and triple (possibly quadruple with a max MU of 40%) module that were blank. Once you clicked on one a new 'tab' would appear with a drop down menu that listed each turret with 1-3 slots. Then you could select each turret you wanted protection from. Obviously for the second and third drop down menus the previously selected turrets wouldn't appear. Then buy it.

This would have been better than 100's of modules in the garage. It could have also let quadruple modules be introduced.

Protection modules are definitely not worth the crystals at your rank.

You can easily reach Lt. General and get your first module from an m3 kit.

Only exception would if you're a full time polygon / arena / noise / island player.

Then fire + twins module is a good buy.

there are some protection modules apart from the one you mentionec that are actually worth it at WO 5. but i agree with you :- there are very few

What I'd like to see is

Single modules up to 50%

Double modules up to 45%

Triple modules up to 40%

Quadruple modules up to 35%

The way things are set now everyone will end up with 50% protection from all turrets, which makes the game linear rather than organic, the modules updates was a bad one from the start

The only problem I have with the system is that we can't buy the exact modules we need as they don't exist. I've been looking for a module similar to "Rock LGC" and I couldn't find anything good. In my opinion we should be allowed to customise the module when we buy it or more modules should be added into the garage so that we don't end up with a more complicated system while still being able to buy what we need.
