In this topic everything related to paints can be discussed. Paints give your tank a nice look, whether it be a paint that gives your tank camouflage or one that makes your tank look like the star of the battlefield. You have 89 different paints to choose from! 

Apart from these paints, there are award paints, helper and developer paints, event paints and special paints.

As of today, Zeus is the most OP paint in Tanki Online. I mean 500k crystals, what a bargain. Buy as soon as you can afford.

 

Imagine if we could sell items, I would be able too sell my paint for 350k+ profit.

I love tanki online, I really do. The tanks handle perfectly and the garage and saving up for better turrets, hulls, kits or paints was perfectly balanced and was a lot of fun. I do say WAS because I think they are loosing it with some of the new 'features'. I cannot image that it will stay this way because it is really crazy. For example: the 'jaguar' paint used to cost 23.000 crystals. You would get a nice looking paint with protection for firebird, freeze and a littly bit against thunder. And now? Now you can by the jaguar paint for a whopping 300.000 crystals!!! And it gives you nada protection. I think the developers have lost their mind. And in the V-log they say that a nice paint is like a rolex: you pay just for the looks :-((

Some paints, like loam foir example, cost around 9000. Now ok, maybe thats a price for getting uhh nothing which just looks nice, but 200.000-400.000? Seriously???

Then there is the fact that paints are part of a kit. For most people, (expensive) paints you wouldn't by directly but you would get them in the kit and then with the discount it was pretty ok, pricewise. But now in the kit, you only get the paint and NOT the protection anymore (at least as far as I can see). This also renders the kits a bit useless. For example: I was saving up for the new Healer-kit. I would get the M3 hornet and M3 isida which are a good bargain in the kit, but now I also get the Irbis paint for an even more whoppping 400.000 crystals and it gives me no protection!?? Maybe I'm nog getting it: please can somebody explain this to me?

The price of paints should go down, no one is going to buy a paint that costs 500k crystals and holds 0 protection. Also, buying paints as well as protection is far to expensive. Kits are there to make your equipment cheaper so it would be a good idea to introduce protection into kits as well as paints.

I'm slowly falling in love with Moonwalker paint... imo easily one of the most beautiful paints that Tanki made, it truly belongs as a design. Alligator still stays as my favourite one, but this one reaaaaaaaally comes in a close second.

The best paint :D is Frost paint and special paint than MOP and Helper paint gladiator Externity it's My favorit paint But we can't Buy and Hard or impossible to Get it :(
But star paint cost 750K and he is Bad :( Really don't Like it

Agree! Why do paints have to be sooo expensive after the change made to modules?? Makes no sense at all. Can't find any anwser so far from tanki sef, perhaps they can explain why this is.

And then and the other hand they just created amazing paint with cool name: Phoenix (this paint is so sick!) however this paint is awarded to teams in the International Community for outstanding performance in Parkour. :o

That would be cool, but no you can't.

This paint is awarded to teams in the International Community for outstanding performance in Parkour. It may only be worn by the craziest daredevils, and due to the highly volatile nature of its particles, it will abandon the owner's tank if its not fed a regular dose of concentrated adrenaline.

Even the V-log doesn't explain the reason that paints are that expensive.  People should be able to choose their look.  I agree that great looking paints like frost, space, inferno and zeus should be expensive, but 200k is more reasonable than 500k.  The game is not as interesting and fun if the tanks don't have as much variety in looks.  

 

I have an idea:  Anybody who fully upgrades their m3 module gets a sale on a paint of their choice at 50% off. This balances out the fact that older players only had to buy the paint once but newer players have to buy the module and the paint to get the same thing.  I know that older players sometimes had to choose between the look and protection (think RIco is OP but didnt like the look of clay), but 50% off 400k is still a lot.

 

As most people know, Tanki makes things more expensive so more people will buy.  I can't tell you how many games have been ruined and deserted because the developers got more and more greedy for money.  I am aware that Tanki needs money to run and keep up this game, and am also aware that all good games need money, but this paint thing is beyond me.  The facts speak for them selves: less and less people are online then long before, and at certain times of day.

I used to enjoy using the pink "in love" paint back in the day. I don't like how tanki removed it from my garage and are now trying to re-sell it to me for 110,000 crystals.
