We can have alteration for paints (just like turrets and hulls do); brighter version and darker version.

Great, give them another idea on how to capitalize on making us spend.  Now all the useful paints with be premium purchase, not crystals.  Why did you do it?!  No!  It's over, even my camo will be stupid expensive and require money.  You ruined it!  For all of US!

All paints (version we have now) will have same price now and after. The only thing that my idea will change is to add a button where you can make your paint look brighter or darker. You don't need to buy alteration to have that paint equipped. Like XT skins. If someone wants to buy those paints, they can pay 100$, i don't care. They won't have any (dis)advantage and will not affect you in any way.  Cheaper paints (>25k crystals) can be for crystals only.
