Exp and score are not directly linked to each other, they are given by action you do on the battlefield, when you cap a flag, kill, ...

What is little know is an hidden mechanics that buffer some xp, if you cap too fast or too many time the xp given is diminished.

Healing self damage was never rewarded, while healing HP loss is. Now, is there a special mechanics that buffer xp gain from isida to gain HP loss from sel damage? We do not know as such details was not communicated, so you will have to ask the question directly go the developer or report if as a bug.

When I say they are tied to each other, I mean in the sense of an Isida healing their teammate. When I'm healing my teammates, I don't get EXP without getting score, whether it be MM or PRO battles. If I don't get score, I don't get EXP. That's what I meant when I said they were tied.

So nothing concrete yet on Isida scores for healing....

Mods please inquire fro DEVS if Isida receives same scoring for healing an over-heating Vulcan as it does for healing a team-mate damaged by enemy.

Healing an overheating vulcan does not give any score or experience points to the isida.

Are they planning on fixing gift card payments?

What exactly is the issue you're having with them? Any gift cards in particular?

:D  :(   That's ridiculous.  (but thanks for clearing that up  ;)  )

RIP all you Vulcans out there - I'm not wasting my time healing you and getting NO SCORE.

Why do Devs hate isida so much?   They keep nerfing their scoring and give the turret pitiful alterations.

Hammer gets duplet.  Fire gets compact tanks.  Magnum gets to lay mines everywhere.

Isida?    Not one I would spend crystals on.

The inability to earn EXP/score from healing a self-damaged(/ing) teammate with Isida is due to the anti—power-leveling system.

Now please, let's get back on topic. :)

Never mind. I'm guessing it's just something with my computer, as others are able to do gift card purchases.

When I click on it, it sends me back to the main shop screen.

I have noticed some issues with 'clicking' while using Firefox for a few weeks now. If you are using Firefox, try with Chrome. That solved my issue.

And clear your cache on a daily basis by using CCleaner (=freeware).

Good luck.

The results of your speedtest are more than acceptable, so the speed of your internet connection is surely not the reason of your problem.

I haven't read all topics about your problem on this wiki-page, but you are using the TO client, right ? Why not play in a browser ? I have been playing in a browser all the time with good results. Less things can go wrong in an browser than in the client (which is in itself another piece of software on your PC). Give it a go with Google Chrome (as there are some issues with Firefox as well), make sure you have the Flash plugin and allow it to run in Chrome.

Thanks, I am using Safari, though. I will still try that.

I traveled to the outer edge of the skybox as spectator back in 2016 and saw that it's a large cube.

Going beyond that wall will reveal a grey empty space that seems to have no end.

If someone would be spectating on one of those corners of the Skybox cube (not the grey void) would they still be seeing Railgun shots, Thunder shots or Shaft shots exploding on impact against that wall? or will they travel straight trough the wall into the grey void never to be seen again?

I never tested this out as spectator, I don't have the function anymore due to lack of spare time but I'd like to hear answers from someone who has.

Perhaps they do bounce off.. the skybox itself is massive and bigger than you'd think; I don't know they even reach the wall.

I know it's a classic, but remove all your cookies.

Download & install CCleaner and let it run.

@skeletorXVIII told me that shots never actually reach the edges of the skybox. The moment you stop seeing nicknames you've almost reached the distance at which even railgun will stop being rendered.

Not sure what an anti-power-leveling system is:) Could you please explain that. New to this part of the forum.

Thanks

Long story short. Before, it was easier to do power-leveling which is the act of gaining experience very easily. There were tons of different ways to do such as using alt accounts and killing them in private battles, healing an over-heating Vulcan or any other Turret that can damage itself in private battles and so on, in other words...many ways to gain experience with little effort.

Got it...obviously seems like a very different situation in MM where there are 5-10+ teammates you have never really met before.

Yep and that is one way to prevent power-leveling as @ControlledChaos said. Although players will always find ways to power-level so there is no such thing as an ultimate solution to it, but it can always be reduced.

Yup, as discussed above by my colleague @Hate, the anti—power-leveling system is there in place to prevent players from power-leveling in battles (which is basically trying to rapidly obtain as much EXP/score with as little effort as possible (e.g. an Isida healing a self-damaging Thunder teammate who's continuously shooting at a wall), and within the least amount of play time possible (as mentioned earlier in this thread)), and contrary to the popular belief, the recent changes to it are definitely going to benefit the gameplay. ;)

Is XP grinding on Island CTF + Premium counted as power-leveling?

No, as long as the battle is played amongst different players and is not "staged".

By the way, for such questions it's best if you post them here: Ask a Battle Mod
