Questions & Answers - FAQ - Tanki Online Forum

When will mobile be released for iPhones?

Will a new client be released at some point?

Will the Tanki X graphics ever be incorporated into TO?

Have you ever considered selling Protection Modules in the shop?

1. No news about IOS yet, but pretty sure they are going to work on it.

2. New client, i don't see the need of a new client,  but they are working on HTML5

3. I doubt they will because flash player is not capable of those graphics. Also, as mentioned in I&S section rules "We do NOT accept suggestion topics about the following ideas"; "Addition of features already planned or implemented in Tanki X."

4. Someone already answered that it was in item shop, in one of the bundle, he also posted Image in the previous page.

Btw, next time this kind of question can be asked in Question & Answer topic. This topic is about most recent update, any problem with any recent update feedback, etc. ;)

Why was the forum down all of yesterday?

Shopping day? Office party? Russian holiday? Vacation day for everyone? Work...WORK!?! That's a 4 letter word and my Mama told me I'm not allowed to say 4 letter words. Please don't tell my Mama. Please?

How is "Average waiting time" in MM calculated? In order to have an average, you have to have at least 3 numbers, add together, divide by 3 and that's your average. I've seen average waiting time 10 secs, 15 secs, 26 secs, nothing higher than 30 secs. If it usually takes at least 1:00, more likely 1:30 and even longer than that, to get into a battle, how does the timer come up with such low numbers?

I just played a mode 3 times that stated "Average waiting time: 26 seconds.

1st attempt: 1:31 = 91 seconds

2nd attempt: 1:22 = 82 seconds

3rd attempt: 1:35 =95 seconds

Add seconds together = 238 seconds

Divide by 3 = 79.1 seconds

Convert to minutes and seconds = 1:19 (.1)

Where do you see 26 seconds anywhere?

They come up with random numbers to make you think it's a fluke. I have seen average waiting times at 57 seconds before, and I've gotten into quick battles with average waiting times of 6 seconds in 2 seconds before, so...

Quick Battle shouldn't be counted. The battle mode isn't taken into consideration, whereas, in the rest of the list, you choose which mode. If there were more servers in each mode, then yes, Quick Battle would be on the same level as the rest of the list.

Quick Battle has more servers to choose from. The other battle modes have less severs to choose from. Well, on second thought, this shouldn't surprise me any. Tanki isn't balanced anyway, so why should the battle modes?

Shux...I just understood your point and answered my own question. Tanki is comparing apples to oranges and coming up with an apple that tastes like an orange or an orange that tastes like an apple. I don't know, you figure it out, Which came first the chicken or the egg and how old was Farmer John's dog when it happened.

I believe that it takes into account every player that is put into a battle and their time, and then takes the average. If more players are online and they are queued into a battle faster, then the average waiting time will be decreased. I'm sure that the average waiting time takes into account every tanker that is put into a battle, regardless of rank. So if you're a Legend and you see that it says 11 seconds of the average time, you can bet that it was the lower ranks (majority) that brought down the average. Like this meme:

 Class-average.png

The "you" there would be the many lower-rank tankers (majority) in the game that are constantly queuing.

I don't take the average time seriously because I know it's not a perfect indicator yet some players think it's god when queuing in Matchmaking.

That's just my take on it. It seems likely.

In order to have an average, you have to have a lower number, a higher number and a number somewhere in between to come up with an average. What to you suppose the low, middle and high numbers would be to come up with 26 seconds? I would venture to say that most players use a specific battle mode instead of Quick Battle because of missions with a certain battle mode attached and personal preferences.

If you have multiple numbers, you negate the lowest and highest numbers. Keep doing that until you have three numbers to play with. Those will equal your average.

Chicken.

Just occurred to me - let's say you get into an ASL battle using Quick Battle, and you get in in two seconds. Perhaps Tanki uses that number and fuses it with the number on the actual mode button?

Well aren't there thousands more numbers above "three" queuing every day?

And the numbers wouldn't be negated, they'd just be less decisive and noticeable in the statistics (to my knowledge).

Are specifically three numbers really required just to get an average? Mathematics isn't my strongest subject so I'll assume you're more knowledgeable than me in that area.

That makes sense.

I'm not an expert in math either but I am two grades ahead, so I'll add in my two cents. The average (or mean) of any given set of numbers is derived by dividing the sum of the numbers by the original quantity of numbers. For instance, the average of (8, 12, 10) is 10: 30 divided by 3. But the same could go for any quantity of numbers. So no, you do not need specifically 3 numbers to create a mean. It could be done with two numbers, or four numbers, etc. - in theory, each number in itself is it's own average, so you can also do it with one number.

That makes no sense. That's why Tanki uses it - to fool the players.

Hello,

I was half asleep and micro upgraded the wrong turret :(.

I would receive the unwanted upgrade in 1 day 8 hours.  Is there any way to correct this before then?  I'm guessing I threw away my much needed crystals and that I'm a moron.

Thanks

Unfortunately no once you purchase something, there is no way to refund it anymore/ undo do the item. I suggest you to be extra careful next time when you buy/ upgrade something so that you will not face this kind of situation :)

Pick anything else that suits your style from here and don't use Chrome.

I wanted to buy a rename yesterday as that's the only thing I can see worth (ish) paying for in this game anymore. What's with this new payment method for VISA?

I've got to provide my email address, city, mobile phone number (!) and address now?

I don't want to give you my mobile number, I've never ever played a game before where in order to make IG purchases this is necessary - so why this sudden change?

Plus, what if players want to buy for friends using payment links and don't know these details? Will the account be blocked for sharing (as I assume this is what this information is used for)?
