why can't you  just send the payment link to whoever is willing to buy you crystals or whatever from shop? yes you can do it ! you can go to shop choosing the country of the guy who  is willing to buy for you and shop will open you can select what you want when the payment page loads on browser copy the URL  and send it to him / her :) (through something safe like discord skype FB etc or u can just use Forum Pm no? :)) he will enter his card or paypal details and confirm the purchase and boom you will see a thank for purchase pop up on your screen :)

But that takes times and has its drawbacks and is rather clunky, especially if the two people are from different countries.

 

Plus, it ruins one of the main points....who doesn't love a nice surprise?

It should be for Premium, Golds, Crystals, Clan License, Rename Pass and Containers.

 

And not be for Paints because players may not like the paints, unless there's an option for rejection and the gifter knows about it. Not for Kits either.

So I've been thinking about the situation Tanki has with players buying for other players.

Now, this will always happen. Wether as a payment for a service, a giveaway, or merely a gift.

As we all know almost everyone gets hacked by some scammer saying he needs your password to buy you some item from the shop.

Now, yes, sometimes it is enough to supply the link to buy, but very often that doesn't work. So people resort to giving their password to strangers.

So I thought about implementing a system where you can buy an item from your shop but instead of it adding the item to your account, it supplies you with a promo code, the same promo codes YouTubers get for giveaways or to use. Then you would simply send the promo code containing the item, or send several promo codes to your friend and he would just redeem them the same way you normally would.

This solution would easily solve 90% of the hacks tbh...

 

Tell me what you think about this idea. Pros / Cons...

I suggest to add something new in gifting system .... 

For example , Today's is my friend's birthday ( actually not his birthday i am giving an example ) and i want to send him a gift to celebrate his birthday..

So i send the gift ( using the current gifts in the game ) but the ability that i suggest is that when u send a gift you can choose as an additional reward an amount of tankoins to send him ( not required u after the update u can still send a gift with 0 tankoins )  .. Maximum amount of tankoins sent per day = 500 tankoins 

this option is useful for small giveaways ( instead of entering the winner's acc u can send him just that gift with the reward ) or even to give a gift for ur friend to celebrate his Birthday...

 

Guys .. Please tell me if you don't like the idea ( tell me why ) tell me its advantages and disadvantages .

With the existence of BP's. Yes it may be only 500 tankoins. But not all players can buy it.

I would love for there to be a way to gift a BP to someone, from my own shop, rather than needing their purchase link.

That way, scammers who attempt buying for others, cannot refund such an item bought on someone elses account to block them.

Also it would need a prevention system to stop the ability to gift BP to a person who already has a BP.

Since BP's are regular, it could also mean slightly more income for the game.

The question does arise, what if someone hacks you?

Well, that would be no issue, each gift would need a purchase right then, and maybe limit it so you can only hold 1 'battle pass gift token' at a time with a disclaimer that once lost, cannot be refunded/reclaimed.

I have been wanting to gift a few friends the BP, but without such an in-game personal shop method, I refuse to use someone elses purchase link.

If not for other shop items, at least, as a bare minimum, for the battle pass.

This feature should allow players to gift each other tankioins,special bundles and other items of shop which should allow people to buy things without requiring their password and decrease the account scam rates significantly. It could be shown next to the payment option in the shop. After gifting the person receiving it  would get to know the gifters name and the items given. Also a return option should be there in case the receiver doesn't want it.

This kind of ideas is divided into to parts

First, if you mean a way of like purchasing by $ for your friend/clanmate in Tanki.. Which I strongly disagree with and I blame it and couldn't even happen in a game, I have wrote a long post about this but I don't know where. This will make a lot of exploiting and begging and annoying from some players to their buyer friend/clanmate, and yes this happened A LOT.

Second part, if you mean a simple way just for transfer a definite amount of crystals like 50K or something... This is something not accepted by the developers, because this will make a lot of exploiting like converting 50K crystals to your small account. Or I'm as a Legend, 50K doesn't mean a lot for me, so I can convert it for my WO friend that will mean a lot in his rank.

Add the option to gift the battle pass only to the friends who are added in friend list.  And it should also be non-refundable.
It can only purchase with Real money not with Tankoins in order for the safety of account.
